Just read an article that some people are stocking up on toilet paper and ammunition in anticipation of the election results. The article also said some people are leaving town and hiding out in remote area.
I don’t think there will be violence. Maybe an altercation here and there but nothing major. We did pass a gun shop this weekend that had a long line to get in. I don’t know if that was normal or not.

Not on Nov4 because I don’t think we will know any results on Nov4.
Whenever the results come out, yes.

Yes, in isolated spots and I feel we are likely isolated from that in our small town. However, it’s DH’s birthday so I asked him to take off work to enjoy it anyway.
Also agree with @mshelley that there will be violence when a winner is officially declared.

If Biden can win Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania or 2 out 3 I am hoping it will be a non starter. Helps that the orange one insulted and threatened Pennsylvania. Keep it up dumb ass.

I know/have heard of lots of people buying ammo around here. 😕
If batshit crazy videos on TikTok are a forewarning, then yes.

I think there will be protests and violence in pockets when a winner is declared. Depending on who wins may affect the response to it, in my opinion, unfortunately.

If it goes to the SC and ACB doesn't recuse herself and somehow, some crazy way, Trump is reelected, then I think there will be a civil war. I do not believe in violence and I will volunteer to be on the front line.

Someone was talking about this on a show. dang. can't remember what show. but they don't think there will be a delay in counting ballots. Most mail in ballots have a cut off date. I think that's coming up, or close. So those ballots are in the mail. as they are getting the mail in ballots they are opening them, and checking them. They arn't allowed to count, but they are ready to go. Just like any other election, but of course much more, but it sounds like they are fully manned to do this. I think we are going to see a winner that night, or the next day.

In MI there have been already threats on a friend’s Facebook page that if Trump loses “the Oklahoma City bombing will only be the beginning”. I think there absolutely will be violence. I’m not even taking my kids to the polls this year because so many are going to fight to bring their AKs to the polls. I’m absolutely sick over what this country has become.

I believe North Carolina has a cut off date of being received by the 12th, and will be counted as long as they are mailed off in time, or by the 3rd. The Trump admin is fighting this and I think it’s about to go to the SC after having lost the initial decision and appeal. So if it’s close, we might have to wait and see who gets those 15 votes.

Not that Washington's 12 electoral votes make much difference or will be for anything but blue, but our ballots only have to be in the mail on election day, not arrived at the elections office so sometimes it takes a few days for final numbers...

I think we are going to see a winner that night, or the next day. It really varies by state. Some states allow for counting ballots early. Some states do not allow them to be counted until polls close. Also some states cut off receiving ballots on Election Day and some allow for them to just be postmarked by Election Day.

The governor of Texas seems to think so. He announced that the Texas guard will be mobilized for potential deployment to Texas cities as needed after the election.
Of course, it’s more likely that his people will cause the violence, but he has to keep up the fiction that BLM and supporters are a danger to “good white Christians” everywhere.

I don't think any states allow them to be counted ahead of time. That's what I said. But they are opened and sorted and ready to be counted. Yes, the cut off dates are different state by state though. woops. I'm wrong. 8 states are only allowed to process on election day. the rest are when they get them, and 1 and 2 wks before the election..which would be tomorrow, correct?

Gosh I hope not. It’ll be the one year anniversary of my Mom’s passing and I just want to be able to mourn her without a bunch of “noise” if that makes sense. I doubt I’ll even turn on the tv or do any social media that day, just so I can try and be still and remember her and what special memories I have of her.

Yes I think there will be isolated violence regardless of who wins when the results come out. If Trump loses I would expect greater violence.

isolated violence - I'm in a very RED area (79% voted for Trump in 2016) and I'm a little concerned about folks around here to be honest

Just Googled this and I want to make sure I found the correct info... are you referring to him being angry that the Governor's COVID rules made it harder for him to hold his rally, and he went on a rant, saying he would withhold aid? And saying "I'll remember, Tom?" The guy is such an idiot.

Yes, or the days following, in isolated areas. Regardless who wins. My friends son is in the National Guard and he was told to be ready to leave in the day(s) following the election. I’m stocking up on a few extras, mostly some meat for the freezer, flour and sugar. No ammunition. Just food, and the cars will be gassed up. Both sides are capable of behaving badly. I hope I’m wrong and it will be calm.

Yes, and I am ready to gather my family and hunker down on our land for at least two weeks.
I hate everything about this year.

Listening to some that were interviewed by British reporters yesterday the MAGA hat wearing people seem to think so It was quite an eye opener to watch what was going on and listening to two sides and their reaction to the question as to what will happen.
From the Democrats that were interviewed - "I hope there is no violence and it will be a peaceful transfer of power. VP Biden wouldn't want it any other way"/ "I hope there's no violence our country needs to get back to what we stands for"
Trump supporters -" I expect so " / " Yes, no doubt there will be in some places but they will have to suck it up" and some added" 4 more years" followed by a fist pump! The reporters were covering the drive in rally that Biden had in Pennsylvania ( not sure where) but were constantly interrupted with Trump supporters circling the "parking" lot attempting to drown the speakers out - it was unreal!

I sincerely hope not but have we ever seen any politician have followers that arrange parades, caravans or to basically wallpaper their homes and cars with their image? I was driving home after a trail run on Sunday and traffic was nuts with people swerving or braking. I looked up to the overpass and the whole thing was jammed up with Trump people, their signs, flags and Confederate flags. That was what was messing up traffic.
I think I'll be fine in my area though my middle child and her family are in rural PA where the Trump fanaticism is worrying. I wish I could talk them into moving.
