Ah yes, the car warranty call. I laugh so hard at them. My car is 21 years old! I still drive it and love it, but I think the warranty expired a long time ago!
They used to call to tell me the Windows program my computer was using had a virus in it and they could fix it. I'd play along with them. "Really?" I'd say? "But how can that be? I don't even use Windows. We only use Linex in this house" I'd hear them say, "Um, and fish around for how to answer before they'd then hang up with me laughing at them. That was years ago. It was such fun messing with them.

I get the calls, and I can deal with them fine.
What I worry about is my 95-year-old mom and the calls she gets.

THIS IS DONALD TRUMP! Really? If you want my vote then don't scream at me over the phone.
I get the computer calls. A few weeks ago I was threatened w/lethal consequences if I didn't provide info to the IRS. I actually waited for the live person to come on line and then ripped him a new one about threatening to kill me. He was shocked and I was just disgusted.

I just went through the process of closing out my 93 year old aunt's checking account and opening a new one because she gave her bank account number to some spammers. She was too embarrassed to tell me what she did because I had warned her about it so often. She confided to a friend who thankfully, called me to let me know Those scammers are truly evil people.

My late Big Daddy was really easy to sway and he come up with the a polite response (he was to sweet to fuss and cuss them) my daughter pays all my bills and you will need to call later to speak with her. He was a sucker for political party and veteran's donations.

I love the ones that call and say that the warranty on my Mercedes is about to expire but they can help me renew so there's no lax time. I have never even SAT in a Mercedes!! LOL
I also love it when Rachel from card member services calls me to talk to me about my Discover card (never ever had a Discover)!
Lately, I am getting a call that says "Please hold while I connect you" queue the elevator muzak... then say that "Ruth Abercrombie" is busy, leave a message. I just lay the phone down and let it "record" the background noise. I was getting about 4 calls a day from that same number. I finally started telling them on the message that I had given the number to the authorities and would press charges for harassment. Miraculously I stopped getting calls... from that number!! Now it's a different number!

I get calls from one of our local internet providers saying my services are about to be disconnected - might be a concern if I actually had an account with them

Vegas Vacations. Seriously. I am in Canada. The border is closed for a reason. I am not going on vacation right now. And yet they call, every day.

I work in the comic book industry and my company has shown at C2E2 for many years... we've received calls from a company that swears up and down that they're affiliated with the convention and we HAVE to book our hotel with them because they secure the best rates! We book directly through the convention to get their group rates, and if you Google the name of the company they claim they're from, there are reports from comic vendors all across the country talking about these people. Apparently they're based in Nevada and somehow obtain the vendor lists from a handful of conventions. I emailed our contact at C2E2 and he brought it straight to their legal department - we haven't heard a peep since.

I keep getting naughty and fairly explicit texts. They always have a link in them.
Goes like this: something something wet pussy wants whatever
I delete text
All 20 of the other people who got the same text group text back about calling the authorities, they are just a kid...except that one guy who says call me instead of clicking the link.
This happens with enough regularity that I want to text the guy who says call me to just click on the damn link.
