Just D/H and I, no family so usually pretty easy. This year it is easier. We decided minimal tiny gifts and we are having a home theater system, screen, projector and all professionally installed in the family room.

I normally am an early shopper but not this year. I have everyones lists ready and I gave them to my DH so he can decide what he wants to buy and then I will get the rest.
My son is in the navy and is deployed. HE won't be home nor can we send gift so we are paying off his new cell phone. He sent money for me to shop for his sisters and he is very generous to them so I have lots of shopping to do.
I guess after thinking about it I have started. I have things for my mom but not my dad yet.
I ordered custom fabric from spoonflower that has my husbands youth rugby team logo on it so I am making masks for him since they have to wear them at practice and on the field. He had some professionally done and hates them so I hope he will like these.

soooo you all motivated me. DH and I just onlined most everything! He never shops until the days before so this is a huge accomplishment. Now where to stash it all.

Is Target’s gift wrap a good quality? These gifts have to travel a ways and stand up to all of our nieces and nephews pawing through them mutiple times before Christmas so I’m trying to avoid thin paper. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I actually miss the wrapping paper that I got from the school fundraisers when my kids were young. Yes it was overpriced, but it was really nice quality. Hallmark has good, thick paper too.

jeremysgirl & other peas -- Where do you look for on-line shopping other than Amazon. I am looking for Joe Boxer stuff (the Canadian site is horrible) and something that my 38 yr old ddil would like. HELP! Really new to on-line shopping. Thanks!

I'm stumped with what to do this year. We tend to do experience gifts--concerts, theater, vacations--and those are all out the window. Nobody really needs any stuff. The kids (are supposed to) live in dorms, and have minimal space.
I did, however, buy myself a bunch of new clothes this week. My house has tall ceilings and stays cold in the winter, so I stocked up on sweaters and warm comfy clothes. Land's End had some great deals on sweaters, if anyone is looking.

We are supposed to be Christmas shopping this year?
That about sums up how well mine is going.

Since I shop all year long, I'm done, except that DH hasn't given me his "wish list" (the things I'm going to buy him that he really wants). Already have surprises ordered for him. It's mostly for naught, since we're not seeing family nor doing a mailing frenzy this year. The gifts will keep for better times. Yeah, so merry. And I very much hope that will be the last sadness of this horrible year.
Love NashvilleWraps dot com for wrapping paper. It's thick, each roll comes in a good storage box (stackable!), and is on sale now, twenty dollars & change for a 24" by 85' roll. Yes, 85 feet, so make sure you like it.

I'm doing my best to buy local. I know the draw of online and if I can buy local online, I will, but yhe local businesses need business and even the big box stores need to stay open in our location. In addition we need the local tax revenue.
So in person, local businesses is what I am doing.

I only need to worry about hubby and our granddaughter this year. We actually finished shopping for her this weekend. I had two items made for my husband. One I have had since February and the other actually just arrived this weekend. I’m just waiting for his wish list so I can figure what I need to get. Not spending what we had originally planned as the plumber was here last week so that was a pretty penny. But for the past three years we haven’t exchanged gifts at all and we’re getting tired of just sitting around as Christmas has just been another day. And after this year I think we deserve a little spoiling.

one decent side effect of work from home is that I just got all my Christmas gifts wrapped. I can't stand wrapping, and DH leaves it to the last minute. Then we wind up in a fight over how much I spent, even though he knows I deal shop and try and push our limited dollar as far as possible.

I’ve bought a few gifts for everyone but haven’t done much. DS doesn’t have a list so so far he getting shirts, socks, slippers and a calendar lol. I’ve bought a few things that will need to be mailed - never had to do that but hubby doesn’t want to drive an hour to deliver them as he really doesn’t want to see his parents so we will mail. This is going to be a pretty boring Christmas and still trying to figure out ways to make it a bit more fun for us. Hubby said he will have a list this weekend so I will order stuff this coming week.

Well I ordered stocking stuffers from a fb ad. It’s a power pod, a little emegency iPhone power bank that attaches to your keychain and has enough juice to charge your phone for maybe 2 hours. Except it doesn’t work. So not only do I have no gifts, I need to return these. Good news! I found them. While I was on the phone with Bergdorfblonde! Poor thing, I yelled in her ear. 😱 i checked the rest, only the first one doesn’t work so I’ll see about getting my money back for that one.

It's Nov 13th and I'm 96.7% done. The last little bit is sitting in my Amazon cart waiting to be ordered on payday. I am only doing a gift exchange with my parents and one friend. But I really spoiled my Mom. For my other close friends, co-workers, 2 neighbors, and one Uncle, I'm doing a baked goods basket closer to Christmas.

It's going great. I've bought most things online and DH has picked up a couple of things I didn't. All I have left are 3 giftcards and DH will pick those up this week or next. I want to get DD's box of gifts into the mail by the last week of November because it's taking longer for mail to get delivered and I need to ensure it's there on time.
I have scads of wrapping paper, tags, bows, boxes, etc. from previous years, so I'm not buying any this year.

Ok this all of a sudden got easier. Ds22 is going to get a personalized bobble head and he will think it’s glorious. Logan wants a full wardrobe of Mac and cheese items.

I haven’t started shopping at all, which isn’t unusual for me. But for some reason I just had a dream that it was Christmas Eve and I was shopping because I still hadn’t gotten any gifts.

We do a very minimal Christmas so I’m nearly done. My husband is a grinch, and our kids are really little and get overwhelmed if they recieve a lot at once (and between grandparents.. it adds up lol). I bought their big shared present early because I was worried it’d go out of stock since it was all summer. Their little stuff is all done now too.
So right now I just have stockings left to do. I also do one for my mil since she doesn’t have anyone else. Other family/friends get cookie boxes and cards.

Pretty much done. I just need a PS5 LOL. They're impossible to find. The good news is that my son is an adult and said an IOU would be fine. He's paying for 1/2 of it.

I've gotten a few small things so far... lounge pants and a kit of colored sewing thread for dd a bag of almonds for dh (on sale at the grocery store) some tart warmers for DS (he's in to making his bedroom smell good, lol) DS wants a remote start for his new car, so we're giving him $ for that.
Otherwise, I have a long ways to go!
Oh, working on a shutterfly calendar for my parents... waiting, hoping they have a free code soon!

I have done nothing at all. I feel very unmotivated to do so. I have a dog to buy for now and I am very happy about that. I am buying him all the stuff I can. He is so cute.
The kids I have no idea. I might take DDIL to Arizia to get her some stuff to wear. DS is a mystery. Maybe I will just get him some clothes.
