I just looked at IACB's COVID themed Christmas stuff and I personally love it. I think it's cute and relevant and I like having COVID themed supplies since it basically dominates life right now. I made the mistake of posting about it on a non-scrapbook related forum and the ladies there were NOT happy. Most found it crass and offensive.
In hindsight I understand completely where people are coming from- in isolation it's a bit weird, and to some it isn't a topic that one can find any humor in. I think if you don't scrapbook it's hard to understand why anyone would want such items but also see how not everyone is going to be ok with such products.
But I'm curious where you all fall? Love it? Hate it? Indifferent to the idea?

I have pretty much all the covid related supplies that came out and I am using them. But I chose indifferent for two reasons.
First, some of them are poorly done and not relevant. Like the CM COVID Kit. Papers are awful and stickers are mostly stupid and look bad. Another kit I bought, possibly by photo play or reminisce has very idiotic sentiments on it and most of them I cannot use.
One kit has church at home and I took a photo of my mom watching church on tv just to use it. But otherwise it seems as though companies jumped on the supply and demand wagon so quickly they executed very ill thought out products.
So yes I use them but not because they make me feel better. I use them because I am theme scrapper and they somewhat fit he bill.

Kelly Purkey's quarantine life release in spring was perfectly adapted to my pandemic lifestyle. I bought it, loved scrapping with it and will continue to use what's left of it as I head into another national super strict lockdown tonight.
No pets, no children, no garden, no balcony, no terrace, not even a car, nothing but the walls of the apartment. My city life has been very restricted this year. I usually travel regularly, go to the opera, eat out, meet up with friends for brunch, take the train all the time. 2020 has been Netflix and pace around the living room. I welcome the scrapbooking supplies that help me keep my head and hands busy.

I love the idea. The IACB stamps are cute, and they're a really great low cost option to make your pages even more relevant for this year.
I know a lot of people want to try to avoid scrapping the virus to try to make their holidays feel more "normal." But for those who want to document the holidays more realistically, it's great that the supplies are available.
That said, I wouldn't be the target customer as I don't do Christmas, and I don't do much with stamps. I did buy a couple of the papers in the Pinkfresh line, but I bought primarily for the B-sides.
Are there other manufacturers doing the Covid Christmas theme too?

I really like some of them. The IACB kit is super cute and I'm definitely going to buy it. I also like the Pinkfresh line even though the colors aren't my jam.

I think it depends on your experience with Covid. If you lost someone to it, maybe not. If you have been cooped up with small children, it might be perfect. For me, I have so many supplies already that I can do a page or two without needing them.

I fall somewhere between hate them and indifferent. I'm not really a super theme type scrapbooker so you won't find me hunting down that perfect sticker, etc. Yes our family has had to do some things differently because of Covid, but honestly every year and every holiday is usually just a little different. But we each get to live our lives and tell our stories in our own way right???

I bought one or two sheets of paper and the die cut pack from the first covid line that came out, was it photoplay? I also bought some papers and the cardstock stickers from Pink Fresh Let's Stay Home. I think it helped me tell the story of my life in 2020 for sure. I don't see myself buying a whole lot more of it, because now it's just become our lives. My album will just have pics of us in masks and hardly any family pics and I don't need to keep drawing attention to it anymore. I did see that covid xmas line, and that looked cute, but I will wait and see how the holidays unfold. I try not to buy products until after just incase I don't end up taking pictures, or any other reason that I don't feel like documenting something. myboysnme are you talking about the Creative Memories line? Love One Another or something? I saw that one, and I think they came out with another one. I didn't buy it, but I didn't think it looked too bad. It really all depends on what you are scrapping, I suppose. Their papers are super thin though.

Not for me but I have no objection if others want to use them, as long as they are done respectfully. All of the ones I've seen have been. If there was a more general themed home, family, games, movie night etc I would be interested. I don’t do project life and for me, part of the enjoyment of scrapbooking is the happy memories. I enjoy looking back on pictures of happy times. I enjoyed having extra time with my family, but have zero interest in documenting the rest of it. It might be interesting to future generations, but I scrapbook for me.

Yes, the first one. I hadn't seen the second one. I do not think paper with hearts, dots, squiggle lines and graph paper is particularly covid themed. I probably have sheets of that in my stash. The stickers are odd shapes with thick white borders. I do not like stickers like that. Life is better with my tribe, love my CM family, a mixer? They can do better.

Before covid themed collections were available I intended to buy at least a few things but then I realized that I have quite a few supplies that have HOME as part of their theme. Lots of 'let's stay home' and 'no place like home' type of stuff that I'll be happy to use when I scrap being cooped up at home for months at a time. As an introvert homebody I'd rather spin it in that direction.
So I guess I'm indifferent. I haven't been negatively affected by covid - no financial loss and as far as I know no one I know has had it so it's easier for me to say that.

Yeah, the one thing I remembered was not liking the color scheme. Red, white and blue. Boring. I'm trying to think if all their stickers have the white border, but I don't remember, they might.

All the ones I've seen (which is not a lot) have been balanced between finding the humor in the everyday chaos and recognizing that it's a very big deal and not a funny situation. Most have included some recognition that things are hard for most people, harder for some, but with a spin that we're going to do our best to make it through safe and sane. I don't think most people are scrapbooking the mass graves or specific people they know getting sick or dying, with or without these products. That's just not what scrapping is about anyway. I guess if I had never made a page and someone told me there were scrappy products about the pandemic I might have a different reaction, but I also ventured into a nsbr thread yesterday and dang, viewpoints there can tend towards the outraged and dramatic... I'll just leave it at that.

I haven't bought any specific supplies but I did pick up some of the digital freebies and I've been using them to scrap my monthly pandemic pages as well as (sparingly) on regular layouts where they seem to fit - like virtual schooling and working from home.

I really liked the Kelley Purkey items she created earlier this year and I have continued to use them. I haven't sought out any others, so I'm not sure what else is out there. I do continue to scrap about our new strange way of life both for mental health and as a record of this time in history.

I have printed a few - mostly early on. I received a few things in my Hip Kit club. I don't want to spend my money on them, though. I don't scrap a whole lot about it.

There are so many covid Christmas ornaments out there. It's a thing and companies are cashing in. If you scrap the daily life then it's perfect.
Here in ontario kids are required to wear masks in school. I was at my friend's house and they made my first day of school art and had photos and she's in mask. So if you scrapped that it's great the paper is available.
In my atc swap group we picked August topic as covid. Mine was about toilet paper. That's the paper I bought. Toilet paper rolls. I found the whole toilet paper debacle hilarious (only after I found toilet paper lol).

I don't do project life, so I have not scrapped any COVID-related pages, but I did buy the Kelly Purkey B&W Christmas kit to complement the "regular" Christmas kit I'll be using. Our holidays are going to be so very different this year due to the pandemic, and I want to make sure that years from now when my grandchildren look through my DD's, they can see the difference and understand why this year was celebrated so differently.

I have actually started a COVID scrapbook. I’ve used some of IACB’s digital files and some general lines that were “at home” centric. I ordered a stamp set and some of the Pinkfresh line but that was before we had to cancel our summer trip to the US. So I don’t have those yet. But I am scrapbooking how it’s affected us, some headlines and some pages about how I was/am feeling.

I've picked up a couple of embellishments from the Pinkfresh line which are versatile enough to be used in more general everyday life and used quite a few of the downloadable freebies that were offered in the early days. Like others I've also focused on using home themed stuff from my stash, and have been getting some mileage out of some stamps that have more real life sentiments. I've chosen the love them option in the poll because while I don't love everything, I've enjoyed having some specific things to include in my album.

I gathered a bunch of freebies when all of this first started and have them in a folder ready to use. I have used one occasionally, but come to think of it, those I've used have been the "stay home stay safe" kind of theme rather than the more medical themed images. I use my PL (and my Christmas Journal) to record "life" as it is right now and as a result, yes, CV figures feature in there as do bits and pieces about life right now. I smiled yesterday when I flicked back to a week in July when I was looking for something else and found "Getting (slowly) back to normal". How things change, eh? sleepingbooty I read about your new lockdown last evening and the horrific events in Nice and Avignon and thought of you. Stay safe, stay well, stay sane dear friend.

I just want/have a few touches here & there to help ‘explain’ why some stuff is so different now. It there in my life, everyday, but I’m not going to make it the star of the show if I can help it.
Some days that dominated, other days I was able to find the simple joys in other stuff. Now that I had to go back to in person work, I prefer not to think of the ‘ax’ over my head if you know what I mean. With the numbers of people I *have* to see each week to remain employed it’s only a matter of time imo. Fingers crossed, knock on wood that I’m wrong or that it’s not bad. But I prefer it to be in the background now so I don’t think too much & panic. Panic will get me no where & can lead to mistakes.

I voted indifferent as I downloaded the freebies but don't intend to purchase anything. While I'm documenting this time, I don't want it to be overwhelming. Plus, I'm praying this is over soon and I won't need any of these products.

I haven't scrapped much this year, but had my pre-teen granddaughters over to scrap. They wanted to work on a "yearbook" for 2020 and include a Covid page. We had a few photos of family members wearing masks. I found some face mask die cuts and a couple Covid related quotes on Cricut Design Studio. That was enough to combine with other items I had to make a cute page.
I don't think I would have bought specific items to scrap with - but the subject will be included in journaling when I do get around to scrapbooking this year.

I am a reality scrapbooker, so I appreciate the various products to help tell the story. I get that a lot of people only scrapbook happy memories, but that would feel so fake for me. I had someone in my family pass away from Covid19, so I don't see it as being "funny", but the other things that have happened regarding work from home and toilet paper shortages and such can have some humor to them. To me, it's ok to try to find the good/humorous in a not great situation. I also think its important to record the reality for history's sake, so in my storyline chapters book I will record the pandemic numbers and other headlines regarding it.
My great-grandfather actually died from the 1918 flu pandemic...I had some information on it, but going through this has made me research more. It would be so valuable if someone in the family had recorded anything about that. The only circumstances I know are what is on his death certificate.
These are the kind of things I think about when I scrapbook...like what do I wish I had/knew from my family members, like what do I wish they would have journaled about and left behind.

This is me too. I keep supermarket receipts, shopping lists and all kinds of other ephemera to tuck into those pockets. Who knows if someone will find it all interesting or throw it away as junk?! But I really wish my Grandmother had left such things behind.

I have purchased a couple of the Covid lines, and some stamp sets. 2020 was to have been a big year for celebrations for my family: 25th wedding anniversary, 20 years in our house, son graduating from university in the UK, daughter graduating from high school. We travel a fair amount in non-Covid times, and were planning a big trip to the UK for my son's graduation, and a special anniversary trip for me and my dh. All of these celebrations still happened, but were drastically altered due to Covid, so I am happy to have some Covid themed scrappy supplies to add to my photos for these events. I am an introvert and homebody most of the time, so I will get a lot of use from some of the stamp sets I purchased
