It's November?!
I keep trying to remind myself the faster time flies, the sooner we get a vaccine and eventually some semblance of normal.
I forgot about daylight savings time when I got up. I didn't set the clocks back before bed, like I usually do. So my getting up at 6 am was really 5 am, oops. I didn't realize until I happened to see the time on my laptop.

I’m sorting & prepping my October photos for PL. then I have to clean my desk it’s a huge mess At least it's just your desk! My entire dining room is a mess. My Cricut and other random stuff is on the table. The good news is no one will see it, ha ha.

I uploaded the rest of my October photos. I'll place an order later.
I added embellishments to several birthday layouts and called them done.

Hey! Hey!
I am choosing to use November as a 'kick in the rear' to get all the things I started, finished.
Today I have already:
-made stocking labels using my silhouette -fixed the vinyl on a yeti -got my November gratitude mini book put together, and ready to start journaling
I am now ready to start printing PL photos. My plan is to get everything printed so I can do PL Tuesday when I am watching the election.

Who gets up at 6:30 on Sunday? It is Novemberrr! I guess it's time to address my Christmas cards. Every year it takes me 2 or 3 days to figure out, again, how to work the address labels on my computer. I was going to write down the steps, but it is way too complicated to do because there are so many steps.

If anyone has a problem with my messy handwriting, they can mail their card right back to me

I have never gotten the hang of sleeping in since I retired last year.

When you are retired nothing happens before 9:30, so stay up late and sleep in. You may be thinking every day will be a Saturday ... NOT. That doesn't happen until your children are empty nesters. You will have plenty to do; it will be like glitter once everybody knows of your retirement.

I got home around 8 pm last night from a 3 day scrapbook retreat. I got 52 pages done, and I put them all in the albums before I went to bed. I was happy with what I got done but wish it would have been more.
My son is moving to California on Wednesday so I want to take him and my granddaughter up to the playground and get some fun photos of them together. She is too young to remember him much when he's gone but he loves her so much I want her to have those photo memories. Of course he will visit but she has been seeing him every day for months.
I have a crop in 3 weeks and look forward to that. Then Thanksgiving so more photo ops. I hate to say it but having all my son's furniture out of my living room will be a relief. Don't quite know what I would have done with all of it if it was time to put up the Christmas tree!

I finished a layout for sketch 16 from the SG class. I have some ideas for sketch 17 and 18. Now I just need the time and energy to follow through. I had a busy day today and will have another busy day tomorrow but I will have time to scrap on Wednesday afternoon.

I need to upload some photos from my phone and get pictures printed. Not because I’m runnig out of things to scrap but because I’m running out of free storage space in the cloud.

Good news/bad news today! The dumpster just showed up. My brother, the contractor, and his crew just showed up to replace our siding. That is good news. Whiny me says the constant pounding is bad news for a week. I was kind of hoping for a quiet Friday.

It's been quite a week, and I have lots of photos & screen shots to upload. The election will probably get a few layouts in my album.

I completed my October pocket page layout. I’m so happy I have been able to keep up with this project. I also started a Gratitude album that will be in a 6x8 album. I’m using the November Cocoa Daisy pocket page kit for this project. It will have a mix of full pages and pocket pages. For some reason I had some Simple Stories page protectors in the 6x8 size ,but no album. Just ordered the album from Scrapbook.com along with a few other things. ( she said, $75 later). Lol! Happy scrapping everyone!

I haven't scrapped this week, but I continue to jot down corona virus & election journaling for use later.
I also uploaded & ordered freebie cut apart cards for Thanksgiving, election, & voting. I'll pick them up from Office Depot in the next day or two. I've never ordered freebie cards before, so I'm hoping they come out right. But for under $2, I'll risk it.

My Snapfish order came today, and I picked up three sheets of cut apart cards from Office Depot. Love the quality! Totally worth uploading freebies to order online and pay 60 cents a sheet.
I'm hoping to play tomorrow.

So far today I've started a few October pandemic layouts. I love that I can include our household members only Halloween party pics.

Twenty something years ago, I started a scrapbook style journal. It contains my thoughts and pieces of writing, quotes, clippings, other peoples pieces of writing that I like, my bucket list (printed out in increments of ten), sayings, favorite lyrics, etc... It is all very neat, organized, symmetrical, same size pages, all in sheet protectors, etc...
Over the years, I've always admired mixed media journals and have wanted to switch to that type of "not perfect, messy, colorful, random, etc..." format. I was stuck in the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" and the "don't change what is already done" frame of mind.... as well as I like everything neat and organized, so it's out of my comfort zone......so I've hesitated for a long while to make the switch.
Last week, I began to deconstruct my original journal. I will use the same binder-no sheet protectors, but I want to fill my binder with various size paper(scrapbook paper that I've been mod podge together for a thicker look and style). Some of the "typed" pieces of writing, quotes, etc...I will copy/write in my own handwriting. Some I will clip out and glue in. Some of the paper co-ordinates, some doesn't. For now, I am using a 1.5 inch binder, but I can always size bigger if I run out of room.
I am loving the process of putting together my journal of many random pages. I can't wait to fill the pages.

I need to start my "year in review" photos books for my parents and MIL. I do a book about our grandchildren that live out of state. Well, it's kind of depressing, because I hardly have any photos due to COVID.
I guess the upside is it won't take me as long to create.

Well, it's kind of depressing, because I hardly have any photos due to COVID. I guess the upside is it won't take me as long to create. Can you "borrow" someone else's photos from online? You probably didn't visit many places, but maybe you could find enough to just fill out your stories a little bit? Or maybe add some journaling for filler? I find it so difficult to make albums for other people. I never know what someone else will value, so I mainly stick to just photos. My scrapping news is that I finally picked up my VB Storyteller pads today from my LSS along with the new distress oxide green and a handful of single sheets. Then, on the way home I stopped for a stencil brush and 3 fine line paint bottles at HL. That's absolutely it for me until next year. No more craft purchases unless they're gifts for my DDs. I'm waiting on 2 orders from ACOT, and when they come in I'm going to be swimming in more than enough paper to last me until spring

msliz I dove into the photobook project and actually have more photos than I thought. It will work out. Great idea to use other images. I have done that in my own scrapbooking. It was too foggy to get a good rail tunnel photo once, so I used an image I found online.

Well, it's kind of depressing, because I hardly have any photos due to COVID. I guess the upside is it won't take me as long to create. I have been doing one page for my family calendar each month. Many of them not quite what I had thought they would be due to changed plans in 2020. Finished the November page today along with the cover page which is a quick year in review--21 people over 12 months. Whew! Just have to get it to the printer, now.
