Again I wasn't so hopeless about the vote count but rather the lack of humanity continuing to be shown here. I am happy about the count if it holds, just not so much about many of my neighbors. Too much ugly, angry and bigoted. Especially since Kenosha. A Biden win isn't (or won't) bringing me the joy I would have hoped. It is only the best of awful situation, but will it last or go on to make real change? I hope so but what I've heard and seen from above mentioned neighbors makes me much less optimistic than previously, if I'm being honest. I guess I can "thank" trump for making it ok for many to show their true selves and open my eyes further. Feeling rather bummed about my home state regardless of the outcome I guess is what I'm saying. I’m feeling this way as well. My state (Minnesota) went blue for senate and president, but all of my local races went to R’s. While I am relieved that overall we kept the senate seat and went for Biden, I am still discouraged by what I have seen from local people. Would Biden winning make that go away? No. However, if Trump wins I think it will be 100% worse. I agree that biden is obviously the best choice of the two. But it's not the two that worries and saddens me. It's the near 50% of us that think hatred, bigotry etc that trump revealed is a-okay. It seems to just be going back from an instant chaos/explosion to our slow burn/pretending everything is fine now. It's not. Never has been and I'm not even sure how we'll be better when the only reason we were paying much attention is because of the immoral man in the White House. Are we going to go back to pretending it's all ok because it's not. Back to pretend safety won't help much, I'm afraid. |

Which won't matter right? Because with a most likely blue win for Michigan, obvious for Arizona and most likely blue for Nevada, that's it. But Trump is also suing Michigan. So far (see my post above) they are not aware of a lawsuit in the courts |

No, this was not a confirmation about winning. He wants all votes counted. It’s what we needed to hear right now.

4:15 EST. Biden just gave a speech. Talking about being a president for ALL Americans. He was so calm, reassuring us that he will unite us all. As a foreigner and outsider, this is one of the reasons I think Biden is the right man for the state America is in now. He's the opposite of agitation, self-indulgence and polarisation. He wasn't my play-along pick from the Democratic line-up but I've come to see how he fit perfectly for the 2020 nomination. He will be good to all Americans even those who continue to bash and hate him. |

Giuliani is stating fraud on all the remaining states unless Trump is in the lead. He says they are going to do a national lawsuit and has the nerve to say “ this comes when you think you have so much power and you own the media that you can do anything you want “. After the MI and PA news earlier I stepped away from election news for a bit and as soon as I checked it out again I saw the MAGAts at the Detroit election office. That didn’t calm me down for sure. The thing is...I knew the campaign and Trump were going to do this kind of stuff and the GOP was going to look the other way. Knew it deep in my bones. So why I was so taken aback I’m not sure. Anyway, lots of good news and potential good news from you guys! |
