Oh wow grammadee, snow?! It's mid 70's here and sunny. A perfect fall day! The hangout is at noon CST for anyone who may want to join in! I am just heading to my craft space now. Things never quite go according to plan lol.

I've been scrapbooking this afternoon/evening. Slowly. But I'm starting to pick up now, like I'm getting into the flow of things.
I'd love to be chatting here more, but I think a lot of people are chatting about other newsworthy events

scrappyrabbit - lovely layouts. I LOVE how you used the sketch! I too am currently making a layout based on that sketch and it's working well for me - I think it might be quite a versatile one? The diagonal paper is so interesting without being busy.

Man I want to play. Look at those beautiful pages and cards. grammadee, you are the card making machine! I ended up working much more than expected yesterday, and I will be there at 7:30 a.m. today. Unusual weekend for me. I am on staff at our church, and lots going on. I hope I can play today but now it is looking doubtful.

S is for SCROOGE - With Covid-19 having taken over 2020 are you feeling more like Scrooge this year at having to adjust celebrations? Is there a particular person in your life who is always "Bah Humbug" when it comes to the holidays, or is there a particular holiday task that you dread? Myself I will probably document how this end of year rush is stressful, and yet culminates in a love of it all. Are you sending out snarky cards this year - Stink Stank Stunk is coming to mind.

S is for STAMPS - Use your stamps, to stamp a background, an embellishment or just the date.

S is for STITCHING - Hand stitching, faux stitching, machine, they all count.



T is for THANKFUL - In this upside down year, what are you most thankful for?

T is for TAGS - use a tag on your project.

T is for   use at least two fonts on your project


U is for UNWRAP - When opening gifts do you have a specific order you go in? Youngest to oldest, or it is a free for all? A certain day or time of day that the unwrapping happens? Lets document those little things. Cardmakers, do you send cards that are interactive and have to be "unwrapped" as they open?

U is for - UNDERUSED - use one supply that you is underused. Something you keep intending to use and don't. Get it on your project!
U is for - Use a sketch. Use the sketch below to create a Layout, card, or tag

V is for VACATION - Do you escape on vacation during the holidays? If so, what is your favorite location, will that change this year? If not, what would your dream holiday vacation look like?

V is for VELLUM - use vellum somewhere on your project, for journaling, as an overlay, a frame.

V is VIOLET

W is for WISHES - Create a card with a sentiment sending well wishes, or create a layout with your wishes for this holiday season or the new year.

W is for WASHI - we all have washi, find a way to add some washi to your project.

W is for WHITE

X is for eXTRA SPECIAL - What is the one person, place or thing that makes your holiday season eXTRA special? Is it a particular ornament for the tree, a tradition you always follow? A person you create something eXtra special for?

X is for eXTRA SPECIAL stash - use something from your stash that you have been saving for just the right layout or card, that something special, you have a hard time bringing yourself to use.

X is for - X's and O's - add some hugs and kisses to your creation, with a photo of someone you love to hug, or a card for someone special what incorporates X's and O's

Y is for YOUNG - The holidays are for the young or so they say. Do you have young ones in your life that make the season more joyful that you shop for, or create for? Is there a tradition of doing fun things that keep you young at heart? Create a fun project to document that young at heart feeling the holidays give you, or the young in your life, or a story from your past, or create a card for a young person.

Y is for - Yarn - incorporate some sort of yarn, twine or fiber into your creation.

Y is - for  YOU - get yourself into the photos this year or onto your project.


Z is for ZOO - Is your home usually like a ZOO during the holidays with mad shopping runs, lots of people and festivities? How might that be different this year?

Z is for ZOO animals - incorporate an animal into your creation with stickers, stamps, or die cuts. Any cute critter you choose, it doesn't have to be zoo animal, it just worked for the prompt title lol.  


Z is for - Zebra - use a black and white combo on your project

I am here. Just not making a lot of progress. Hoping to get a little more done today, maybe?? Lots of inspiration and ideas flowing in my head thanks to the ABC prompts!! Thanks ladies for your hard work on those!

Here is what I completed for the "O" prompt: OLD photos and supplies (really old! The PL cards behind the photos are from the first Amy Tan PL release. PP is old Basic Grey.) Pop of orange in the brads. And outlined my flowers (I used KI memories stickers (2005!), and traced them onto coordinating pp to get enough!).

I'm not really happy with it, but it's done.

Wow, you've all been so busy! Love everything I'm seeing here. Want to sit down and scrap but not sure if I'm going to get there.

I did my chores yesterday, laundry, cut grass, paid bills. It was almost dinnertime before I was done. Took a shower and then sat down and started putting labels/stamps on the Christmas cards I have done already for the Christmas card swap. I have about half of the list done! International will go out this week!

Woke up this morning with a rash all over my upper chest and back. It itches. It woke me up several times during the night causing me to scratch. I'm wondering if it's poison ivy, or stress, or hives, or (heaven forbid) shingles. I put some Solarcaine on it and just took two Benedryl. I have a feeling I'm not going to do much of anything today.

2020 can't be over soon enough for me.

When I cut the Lawn Fawn tree die the other day, I cut three in different papers to play with. Well, now, I just couldn’t leave one undone, so I quickly made it into a card too. It is Authentique paper. The squirrels are from Memory Box. My friends and I bought them a while ago as a challenge to use them. The one climbing the tree looks like a poor little road kill squirrel on the packaging, so it was kind of odd and felt like a good challenge. But now, on the tree, it looks pretty good like they are climbing. So, I am anxious to see them this week and show them how great those little road kill squirrels look. 😂
