Prayers to all who need them today. This American is beyond HAPPY with the election results. Not a huge fan of Biden but Trump is just a horrible person.
Not sure what is for dinner....maybe some pot stickers. Oh how I wish our local chinese restaurant hadn't closed...

There are a lot of new cases in my province. My son and Ddil live where it is worst. They have new restrictions and they are asking for no non-essential travel. My birthday is at the end of the month but I will ask them to not come. It’s just not safe. We have 3 cases on the island. We are doing things right.

I missed yesterday's thread, so I didn't see your very sad post about your son's friend, scrapmaven . I'm really sorry, it's so sad when a young person loses their life. Their parents shouldn't have to go through that, and neither should you son have to experience the loss of a friend at this age. I hope your son is ok. jeremysgirl I hope you're feeling better now and the shaky feeling does' come back. It sounds like you know what to do to try and alleviate it. bklyngal62 sending you my biggest hugs, this must be such a difficult and sad time of year, amongst all the happiness that the holiday season also brings. snyder sorry to hear that your mum is in hospital. I hope that they can quickly work out what is wrong and get her back home again. destined2bmom my gosh, how scary for your brother and all of you! How old is your brother? Did he have any known heart problems before this? I hope that he is on the mend quickly. Dinner...... it was only DSO and I hope for dinner. A few weeks ago I bought a bottle of ouzo, hoping to replicate a dish I had a couple of years ago at a Greek restaurant - calamari with ouzo mayonnaise. It was $40 for the bottle, which was a stark reminder of why I don't drink any more - too bloody expensive! As soon as I told DSO what I was making, he asked if I could cook some sagankai as well. Luckily I had some kefalograviera (cheese) in the fridge. I cooked it with honey, oregano and lemon juice. So good! The calamari was a bit disappointing though - nowhere near as good as the one at the restaurant. I also bought a Vienetta ice cream block - I haven't had one for soooooooo long! Do you have them in Canada / US? I know the UK Peas will be familiar with it.

destined2bmom , Thank goodness that your brother was able to have the angioplasty. I'm thinking the best thoughts that his stent works well and keeps him healthy from now on. AussieMeg ((((HUGS)))). Thank you.

Thank you all for the prayers and thoughts for my mom. She has some kind of blockage and some kind of leak. I was not the one with her, (only allowed one person) so I was getting 2nd hand info. She has so much air coming from somewhere, (tear) that it is pushing her stomach up into her lungs and heart. Probably will do some kind of surgery tomorrow or the next day. Said they may have to take some of the intestines out to relieve the pressure and she may end up with a bag. Uggg and I just got her decorations today for her 90th birthday celebration in a couple of weeks. We weren't having a party, but we were going to decorate her house so it feels special and then a few of us that are in her bubble would stop by to see her and we are doing a card shower. Sure hope she gets better in time to enjoy it a bit. So grateful for the support and prayers.

My college student called me at 1:40 am and our car which he has was towed. By 3 am all was recovered ($400 later) and off to bed. Slept in until I woke up to his ringtone. Only he hadn’t called I dreamt it. :-) We had BBQ tri-tip, brown rice, broccoli and jalapeño poppers.
