Good Morning. Today I have my long infusion. Dinner will be tacos, because they're quick and easy.
**GypsyGirl**, I'll find photos of my puzzles and send them to you. I can't wait to start my Lego ice cream puzzle. I was like a little kid when that box arrived yesterday.
What's on your menu?
Wishing my lovely tribe a very happy and easy day.

Today was my first day back as a ‘regular’ at after school care. I had a bit of a panic moment when I arrived, as the door to our classroom was locked and my coworker wasn’t there. Thank, the classroom teacher came back to get something and let us in, and my coworker arrived 5 minutes later. Apart from that, we had a good day with the kids, though I did discover how hard it is to explain 2nd grade maths in a foreign language. I’ll be back with them tomorrow, due to another coworker being ill.
Dinner tonight is homemade Cornish pasties.

scrapmaven - Thanks! I'm really interested in this Lego puzzle. Sounds fun! House to myself today, well not counting the yard guys now and the housekeeper later. I'm having an 'at home' day, working on projects. Need to cut out fall masks for DD and force myself to list more on eBay. I'm so over it right now, but the $$$ sitting in these stacks keeps me going. Once it is all listed/sold, I'm out of eBay. Dinner tonight is inspired by the lucyg School of Dinner. It will be the bison tacos that didn't happen for the last two nights. Easy to cook and won't mess up the clean kitchen much.

Will be thinking of you scrapmaven. 🤗 Little man had his well check appointment this morning so we were up and out early. Then off to school he went. I have a headache starting so I'm hydrating and resting my eyes. Kindergarten conference this evening (phone). Dinner is Skyline Chili only because it's the elementary PTO benefit. Yuck lol. I will probably get a grilled chicken wrap. It's a chilly 40° here but sunny so no complaints. Happy Thursday lovelies!

Good day! It is chilly here today, but the sun is shining. My favorite kind of winter day.
We'll either have tacos with refried beans and rice, or rechauffe sausages with rice and something else.

Tonight we’re having Siracha Chicken and Ranch Potatoes with marinated asparagus for DH and DS, Lima beans and corn succotash for me, and sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. Finally feeling making a meal. Won’t be doing any shopping till Sunday. My niece passed suddenly on Tuesday, so we will be attending her funeral in Louisiana. I just a day trip. I still have some pantry stuff to use for dinner tomorrow.I suppose I will meal plan on the drive there Saturday. My brother is totally lost-I can’t imagine losing a child-she was just 43, youthful, energetic, two young sons. She had just started checking into heart issue and started a medication, but it was causing a proble, so they changed it and that was making her vomit, so they told her to stop. She had an appt for the doctor,, just didn’t make it. So sad.

Good morning. It is a brisk 40 hear as well. Sky is nice blue this morning. Going to just do busy work here, nothing special. I am making copycat Chick Fil A Chicken Tortilla Soup for dinner. We will use Tostitos Scoops with it as they didn't have strips when I shopped. It is a fairly thick soup, so I think the scoops will work great with it. CFA Copycat Chicken Tortilla SoupHope everyone has a super day!
ETA: katiekaty So sorry for your family's loss. Yes, that is way young to leave the world. I can't imagine loosing a child no matter what their age is.

My niece passed suddenly on Tuesday, so we will be attending her funeral in Louisiana I am so sorry for your loss. She was so young. I didn't sleep well. Right after we went to bed we heard noises in our attic right over our bedroom. It sounded like a giant rat in the ductwork banging pots and pans. I finally turned a fan on high (facing the wall so we wouldn't freeze) and that blocked the noise. But it took me a long time to go to sleep. First time we've ever heard anything in the attic. Dinner will be Honey Mustard Garlic Chicken Thighs with the usual sides.

So Happy It's Thursday (aka s.h.i.t day lol) This morning was rough for ds and school. But he turned it around and got work done.
We are having left overs - roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans. And I will be making some asparagus and candied yams.

katiekaty I am sorry for your loss. Hugs to you! I am home today just putzing around. Have accomplished very little. Might just put on a Christmas movie and wrap gifts. Dinner tonight is on Jeremy. Hamburgers and frozen french fries. Easy enough. My DS is coming for dinner. I can't wait to hug him.

katiekaty- echoing the sympathies shared by others. nicolep- I grew up near Cincy and sooo miss Skyline. I always try to get a fix when I'm "home" It's definitely an acquired taste. To me it's just a taste of home. I'm stopping by a friends this evening- she just bought a house and I'm giving her some decorating advice and we are going to grab dinner. Maybe Take out. Wishing everyone a great day!!

This is what I learned about by niece’s death. Tuesday was the first they were allowed back after COVID to work in office. She was seen by a coworker at 8 and another at 2. She told her husband she had errands after work. He got home without sons at 10. She wasn’t home. He left the older one taking care of the younger while he went to trace her steps. He found her car at her office building, building was locked and he had to find security to open it up and her office too. They found he passed in her chair at the office. Please, stay in contact with your loved ones, text throughout the day, when you leave work, get hone, simple things, if he had found her sooner she may have been saved. Maybe not. That whole time he thought she was at home and already in bed, but she wasn’t. So, a simple text is good. We are all just so shocked an in disbelief. My bother is devastated. He husband is shattered. Keep you loved ones close.
2020, I am so done with this year.

I just had a flashback to the time I told DH I thought we had squirrels in the attic. Came home later that day to him entertaining all the neighborhood kids as he chased a raccoon off the roof! A couple days later we found out she nested and had babies in the neighbor's crawl space. What a shocking and heartbreaking loss for your family, katiekaty. We are having a salmon & asparagus risotto for dinner.

I wouldn’t come home now. BFF and I were going to go to the keg at the end of the month for her birthday and mine and I decided to make a lasagna at home and will have bother Victoria BFFs and my dad’s GF for dinner. I was thinking about making a couple lasagnas and Caesar salad and a cake. That sounds easy right?
