Someone commented on their most recent post, "Hi there, very sorry for your loss, but I'm getting confused about where this money is going and what it's for? Is all this being donated to a charity that the Kartchner family sponsors? Is it going to a Covid charity perhaps?" And the reply was, "omg. Please just donate" Just... wow. I found that amd on the one hand, how bitchy. And on the other hand, if you can’t figure out who the charity is for (I mean, it’s in THE NAME), then maybe just find another charity? My thoughts exactly. No need to be so snarky about it. I'll stick to donating to the charities I already do and know they're all going to good causes (2 local, 1 not-local) and that I can see the work they're doing with said donations.

I feel sorry for the Kartchner family but this money grubbing is beyond the pale. The Venmo, the Go Fund me, now this auction. These people should have quietly donated to Liz.
Check our her Instagram. You’d think they live in SoCal not Utah based on the massive amount of beach vacation pics.
I feel sympathy for their loss but no sympathy for their financial situation. It is 100% their own fault. It is financial mismanagement. They made bad choices in life. They chose to be irresponsible even though they have children at home. They chose to have fun in the sun instead of paying bills. They chose to live above their means. Enough of the Instagram welfare. She can get a real job and pay her own bills like the rest of us do.

OMG Liz herself replied that way?! Not "thanks for asking, my friends are trying to help my kids have a special Christmas this year" I believe that the question was from someone like us who is wondering why all this money is being raised this way, but in that case, if she also read it that way, maybe best not to answer at all. I guess she has no filter in her grief, but man, this bitchy response does not look good. ETA: corrected below - it wasn’t Liz who replied.

I am very disappointed that my customer information is being used for fundraising purposes, I don't care what it is for. That is NOT why places I shop have my email address. GinaK and Jennifer McGuire grrrrr......

That was my thought as well (and I wondered which Pea it was, lol). Ya know, I'm thinking this ain't gonna be the last money grab, I mean, like won't we want to help her ease into the New Year with some extra green? And Vday (just imagine that now), so yeah. And I'm feeling a bit bitchy at the moment so...

She’d probably respond in a way that tries to make you feel like you’re being unkind or selfish for not donating.

Another thing that bothers me is that DL has the link to the GFM page on her IG account. AND she continues to post things to tug at people’s heartstrings. I kind of feel like there’s some manipulation happening to get more money. Sorry, that’s the cynic in me talking. I've been quietly following this story. And I've been trying to be neutral about it. But to see that DL has a link to the Go Fund Me page?!!! I find it extremely gross and tone deaf. Totally lost respect for her.

Interesting that Ink Road Stamps is participating - isn’t she the one that caused the stir about Tim Holtz and BLM?

I think it's really cute Jennifer McGuire's daughter made slime to auction. That's pretty much the only nice thing I can say about this topic.

It would but she's a kid and following her mother's lead - I thought it was nice she wanted to do something to help.

Last week as I was filling our shoeboxes for kids, I went through last years in law gifts to find unopened things to regift. My son saw this and started offering anything he could find, new or not. I had to gently remind him that we are giving brand new never opened things (think those inexpensive bath gift sets at Walmart in girly scents that my son can’t use because he’s not a girl but he’s not out with the extended family) It’s really the thought that counts and it shows that Lila is being taught good service acts towards others and melts my heart.

I have never seen her be snarky. What does she do that is considered virtue signaling? Maybe I don't know what that term means. I'm an old granny.

What does she do that is considered virtue signaling? Maybe I don't know what that term means. I'm an old granny. Gina K, Kristina Werner, Cathy Z. They all preach a good 'kindness' game. But they're all very mean whenever anyone posts a comment that they don't like. They go on and on and make tearful videos or long IG rants or YT comments. Women, please, when you're in business, learn to comport yourself accordingly. Ignore the outright trolling comments. Try to take in the constructive criticism ones. And if you can't take them in, just move on. You don't need to make a video or story or post on how 'it hurt your feelings'. Think about the women who work in low-paid retail jobs and how rude people are to them, day-in day-out. And they just have to suck it up. How much more should they, white privileged wealthy women, just shake their heads and move on if they don't like a comment and can't find anything useful in it.

I agree...my comment was that her mother should have set an example of helping a friend directly. This isn't on the child...this is on her mother.

The angst over a thumbs down or critical comment just makes me wanna 👎 every single video they upload. It’s unprofessional for women who claim this is their JOB!

I've been following this and am just sick over it. I've sold a lot of my stuff so I can pay my doctor's bill for my infusion and yet they just throw money at her. UGH, some days I just want to stick my head in the sand and wait for time to pass.
I love that the little girl made slime, that is so very sweet.
