Imma need a definition here, ma'am! ROFL I should have said... '$$$ome' money! Many, many money. And now Liz is going to adopt a family for Christmas. With the cash she's raked in she could adopt a couple. At least.

Announcing to the world that you are adopting a Family for Christmas, is very "attention grabbing".
Giving should be a selfless act, done quietly without announcements or need for accolades and pats on the back.

It appears scrapbook industry insiders & wannabes alike prefer public recognition & praise for acts of kindness to promote their public personna. IMHO a worldwide online auction to benefit a family, which then announces they're adopting a family, signals the originally adopted family is not truly needy & this tragedy continues being used for professional gain.

Completely. It’s amazing how many unknowns or B team scrap celebrity wannabes have crawled out of the woodwork to participate in supplying items for auction just to get their business some easy publicity.

Did anyone catch what the total haul amounted to? 🤑 Ok, I am bored so I made a list. Of the winning bids listed - they raised $25,439 from 52 of the listings. 12 listings didn't have winning bid information including CZ's. The bids I found surprising on the high side was 3,000 for the Tim Holz art piece and 1400 to craft for an hour virtually with J. McGuire & Gina K. I thought 375 for full lifetime access to Shimelle's library of classes (classes currently available and future classes) was under valued.

It’s not like they have any way of collecting from these people. They were bids posted on Instagram.

Someone here definitely predicted that TH's would go crazy high, and I'm not too surprised that someone would bid high for the JM/GK access. I mean, that would be kind of cool. I agree that in terms of value for money Shimelle's offering came in fairly low, but I suspect a lot of her fans have already bought many of her classes and enjoy the lifetime access. I guess being able to get all the future classes would be good though. $375 is still a lot of money out of pocket though. $25k + is a whole lot of money.

In the meantime, my favourite atheist podcasters raised $126,857 for the Georgia senatorial race doing a 3h livestream yesterday. *warm 'n fuzzy feels* A reminder that good stuff happens in the world, too.

I'm thinking Tracie C is jealous. I'm surprised she hasn't appeared with her own GFM for some new surgery she needs asap. It must be killing her (for her literally) to have someone else in the lime light!

I find the current video in her stories with the lyrics “I got billz” incredibly tacky and in poor taste. So the auction was a huge success and the kids were gifted a $100 bill to shop at Target. Flashing the cash is just gross.

Flashing the cash is just gross. Yuck. Just yuck. Also, wear your fuckin' mask when you're in a store, Liz. Live-posting on IG stories isn't worth risking other store customers' health, especially when you've been hugging and letting a lot of people into your home non-stop the past few weeks, including hosting a large family gathering for Thanksgiving with over 20 people seated at your (indoor) table. This pisses me off big time.

Very bad judgement. She seems to have stopped maturing around the age of 17. She’s the mom! For the sake of her children, it might be a good thing for her to become a sister wife or to marry (soon) an older (wealthy) man who has grown up children.

This must tell us something.

That is why he pivoted from the slut shaming weirdo to the social media/phone hater for kids, he was trying to find his niche. I don’t understand how people don’t see though the bs, unless I am missing something about the persona he used to use. I think I would feel different if he had a 9-5 and this was a passion of his that he did on the side because he truly cared but I just don’t think that was the case. This was about money and being semi famous. Again unless I’m missing something.

It's at the point if her scrappy "friends" continue to throw money at her (or ask the followers to throw money at her) they are simply just doing this to jump on the sympathy bandwagon for their own gain.
I can't believe those that donated product or their services for this train-wreck aren't questioning the sanity of the organizers. I'm sure some of them said yes to not be "the one who refused to donate to a grieving mother/wife", but come on? Dear Lizzy is having a laugh at how far she can push it and still reap the financial rewards. Her husband used shock and awe techniques (supposedly for good-which I still think is questionable) for financial gain so I'm not surprised this is her tactic. She watched it work and afford them a fun lifestyle-albeit not a responsible plan for the future one. Why plan ahead-your followers and "friends" will bail you out. I surely hope she is putting together a financial plan with her windfall for those children in case of another emergency.
Who was the main organizer of this event? Cathy Zielske? Jennifer McGuire?

crafty-Was the organizer Margie Romney-Aslett (Justagirl)? I've thought this a horrible idea from the beginning so I'm certainly biased. Her Instastory that says "Hey Kartchner kids, "Christmas for the Kartchner's wanted to give you each a 100 dollar bill to go Christmas shopping. Life sucks. Have fun!"...is that not a huge slap in the face to the people who organized this for her? Maybe I'm reading it wrong?
