Word on the street is that Michaels is getting rid of those sliding racks. They have priced about 30% of their stickers on sale for the $1 (or less). Lots of Jolee stickers and some Thicker sets at that price.
One of my stores didn't have them labeled as clearance, but the scanner and the register rang them up as clearanced.

Darn! I wish we weren't quarantined right now, I'd head over! Hopefully next week when we're out of this we I can check it out. FYI: nobody is sick, we just always quarantine for 2 weeks after we get back from camping just in case.

I haven't shopped at M's in forever.
The last time I was there, most of the products are the Recollection brand and the *real* Thickers weren't well-stocked.
I do adore Thickers though and have bought a few of the TH Bigz alphabet dies trying to make my own at home, but haven't yet perfected the recipe for it, lol.
Thanks for sharing!

I managed to spend about $30 on some 50c and $1 stickers. I left the only set of Thickers left that caught my eye, though...as I have that set already and have never used them. I was shocked to see (for full price, however) the Whimsical puffy stickers that I have been wanting for like 2 years there...had I know they were carrying them before their coupons became so pathetic, I would have purchased them. I left them behind, however, because at 20% off (the only coupon available that I could find) it was too much for me to spend knowing I'm not doing much crafting these days. For $1, I got a lot of the stickers that were school based if I liked at least half of the package. That was the most stocked section and even if I don't use them in my memory keeping, I can let the kids have a play and make cards for their teachers with them. A few sets I picked up with my 5yo in mind...she needs to be bribed to try hard at learning her sight words and the unicorns, rainbows and conversation hearts are up her alley.
I wish I had known about the markdowns before (the 2 I went to had done theirs on the 15th and 16th) but I can totally see why they're going back to the previous method. Most of the tracks on the sliding racks were misaligned due to screws being removed. Some wouldn't move either direction far enough to get to the row behind. Others got stuck on the stickers behind because they had a single hole for a size similar to letter paper which caused the sides to bow forward and catch on the sliding part, which meant either the stickers went flying or they got bent up during the process. Basically...customers don't take care of things that don't belong to them...carts don't even survive after limited use, so these sliding doors were never going to be successful. I never shopped that section because I felt claustrophobic (and their sticker sales have always sucked).

OMG! I went to 2 Michaels this afternoon and spent over $100 at each, on stickers!!! I don't know whether to be happy or sad. Happy because I have all these stickers in my life, which actually cost about the same as the Cameo 4 I wanted but then decided I would never use it. And sad because it is a sickness to buy all these stickers and spend that kind of money on 4 bags stuffed with stickers. I did see that apparently this sale started at least a few days ago because Christmas and Thanksgiving was completely sold out. At one Michaels all the sale thickers were long gone. I did see on line that one person who sells stickers on facebook apparently caught the sale and is reselling. Now NORMALLY, I would be all over her resale. But this time, thanks to 950nancy, I got most of what she is selling for ONE DOLLAR!!!! Now just to show the sickness that this hobby can be, I bought not one, but two of some stickers that I will likely not use, if at all, for 15 or more years. I bought off to college stickers for my not yet 2 year old granddaughter and my as yet unborn grandchild! They also got first car stickers, graduation stickers, you name it. If it was on sale for $1 and I can see myself ever using it, I bought it. Mind you I will be 80+ years old when they go off to college, but hey, I have the sticker when they do!

Part 2 well I travelled to my moms house today and stopped at 2 Michaels along the way. I spent at least what I had already spent on stickers plus some. I should hand it all to my family to wrap it up for my Christmas.

My local Michaels had very few Thickers or other stickers marked down for the sale. But I was able to score some map print chipboard Thickers and a couple of Jollee’s. They had a ton of Thickers that they just didn’t put on sale

They had a ton of Thickers that they just didn’t put on sale Since it sounds like they are downsizing the entire sticker aisle, it would make sense to put more of the less expensive stickers on sale that aren't newer stickers or the Michael's brand that they probably have the largest markup on. Most of the Thickers are $5-$6 each and I do see people buy them at the 40% off prices. I also got several sets of the map Thickers.

My Michael's was pretty picked over as per usual but I did manage to get 12 different sticker sets (a couple of thickers too).
