He doesn't have to claim anything, all he has to do is resign. He will also have to have great trust in Pence. Pence could really screw dt. Pence can’t be President. He’s got an overseas trip planned in early January. 😏

I can’t imagine him stepping down, even for Pence to issue a pardon. His ego is too monstrous. But anything is possible.

Can a president grant pardons for charges that haven’t yet been laid? I’m curious how the whole granting pardons for himself and family would work.

Is being pardoned the equivalent of saying 'I did illegal stuff but you can't touch me'?

A few weeks ago when the pardons were starting, Dan Rather tweeted a funny comment: “Why is the Trump White House suddenly a very polite place to work? Everyone’s going around saying “pardon me”. “

He's a fucking traitor, so he pardons traitors.
That said, the crooks he just pardoned won't suddenly stop committing crimes, and will soon be in trouble with the feds again.

How can someone be pardoned without specifying the crime or the offense ? "A preemptive pardon is a presidential pardon granted before any formal legal process has begun," Nixon was granted a preemptive pardon before any charge were filed against him. There is talk of a preemptive pardon for Trump and his kids.

Why do people who plead “guilty” get a pardon???

Why do people who plead “guilty” get a pardon??? Accepting a pardon is admitting/acknowledging your guilt so it really doesn't matter if they pled guilty or not guilty to the crimes in the first place.

Trump makes me sick.
The rich, white, and connected live by an entirely different set of laws than the rest of us.
