I did a lot of BF shopping yesterday... for me! LOL! I figure buy now while the deals on what I want are around, and save it 6 weeks later for my bday I upgrade to a new ipad - my Air 2 only has 16 gigs and having a hard time updating the OS, and i have so little room i can barely download anything to it. I will sell it back to gazelle and get $50 for it - better than nothing! I bought DS a replacement ipad (the same one I got) - his screen got deadspots in it and gazelle gave him $50 for it, plus $50 for his old ipad mini, so he has $100 to put towards the new one, and then pay the rest of it back. DH also bought the same ipad - he never had one before and I told him to go for it. Our 20th wedding anniveary trip was cancelled, so might as well get something we want now. I bought a SE Apple Watch, and I will give my series 3 to my son. I will subscribe to Hulu for $1.99 today. We are looking for a mac for my DD for college, apple has an "event" for the next couple of days, but looking to see if i can find better deal elsewhere. I'll check out oldnavy kohls and JCP, B&BW, but basically I am not looking to go anywhere in person today!

Looking for deal on Kitchen Aid mixer (5 qt. Artisan) -- missed the Target deal earlier. My daughter has saved money to buy herself an Apple Watch series 5 and thought she had the deal for Best Buy but they are sold out too. Any deals on either of these items?

I ordered a couple of cross stitch kits from subversive cross stitch, and I found a sweater for one of my kids on eBay, but so far, that’s it.

Gifts for everyone are done really, but bought set of pillow shams and electric tea kettle on Amazon. I'd order more but we seem to be low consumers. Oh wait. I forgot tee shirts from Piccolina for granddaughter. They have a series of trailblazing women. Contemporary artists. $20 for kids $26 for adults. Really nice quality in fabric, fit, and screen printing. Highly recommend them. I have a couple, and daughter and teen grandaughter as well. Got 2 more styles featuring women that dgd likes. I got my youngest the Piccolina RBG t-shirt a while ago, and think their stuff is nice!

We couldn't update the OS, and my husband tried to use it for netflix and that wasn't even working. I figured $50 in their pocket was better than having to figure out what to do with it. My son's ipad 6th gen got deadspots in it. We paid $329 for it 2 years ago and it would have cost about the same to fix. So as much as I hated doing it, I accepted $48 for it from gazelle and I sent that in too. $48 towards his new ipad is also better than repairing tech that is 2 yrs old and I am not confident it would have really worked. Plus, I live at least 1.5 hrs from an apple store, so, forget it. Time is money too. I just submitted my ipad air 2 to be turned in - again, its $50. but only 16 g, and i cant update the OS unless I plug it into my PC and as soon as i download one app, it will delete another to make space, LOL. it probably would have kept on working, but i'd rather have $50 and wait too long to turn it in. I'm not messing with ebay either.

I went to 2 Michael's on my way to my moms and bought clearance stickers, more than 175 of them. I ran into Home Goods and bought a gravy boat for Dil.
Then I got online. I bought everything my mom wanted on her list, got dil boots she wanted, gifts for brother and for friend who I exchange with and spend alot on, sent Ds2 a Christmas tree via amazon because he couldn't find any small ones left in the stores, helped my mom order farberware for my brother.
Yesterday I ordered 3 gifts on amazon and got DH a laptop from dell.
In my opinion many sites have crappy sales and too many restrictions, like buy 2 get 1 free but not all items count toward the buy one or the free one. Many things are sold out and free shipping has high spend requirements.
Tomorrow I am going out to some local vendors and crafters to finish up my gift list.

I’m visiting with sons two and three (out of four) for the thanksgiving holidays. We went to a local Christmas market in Virginia Beach this afternoon to buy fresh greenery for one of their homes. They had so many great local vendors and I ended up finding quite a few unique gifts for some people on my list. I hadn’t planned to do Black Friday shopping, but the unexpected opportunity was too good to pass up.

I’m super happy to report that the $400 coat my daughter wanted from Aritzia was half price today so I grabbed it. That’s the only thing I’ve bought today.

Anyone buying winter boots/bootie?? I really need winter shoes I’ve been keeping my open but can’t find anything quite right... I really still love Uggs for what I need (cold office at work where we wear mostly jeans and hoodies) and was about to order another pair for this winter but decided to try the Chelsea fur lined Dr. Martens that someone posted about in a thread last week. They were 15% off on the site and then 10% back through Rakuten/ebates yesterday (that was only 2% earlier in the week when I first thought about them). I hope I like them.

We always sell our iPads/iPhones/Apple Watches when we upgrade. We actually sell on eBay and get a much higher price for it than if we traded it in. Dh got a new MacBook Air and is selling his old MacBook Air on eBay and it is up to over $700 already.

I have most of my shopping done. There are several teens in my family, so I did most of the shopping for them at American Eagle. My 17 year old daughter has an account with them, so I shopped using that and racked up a ton of points. She is happy that she'll have free shipping for over a year and earned $15 in rewards.
My daughter is getting married this summer and I wanted to get her a KitchenAid mixer. There is no better time to buy that than now, so I ordered that from Macy's last weekend when I found exactly what I wanted for $225. It sold out immediately, so I'm glad I jumped on that. My June self will thank my November self for taking care of that when I did.
I got my husband some clothes from Gap's 50% off sale. I use Rakuten and took advantage of the much better than usual rates. My check in February will be pretty decent. I forgot to do that on a couple purchases last weekend when I shopped. Damn. I'll get almost $15 just for the mixer purchase. I also will get $15 for the $100 I spent at AE yesterday.
We will not get together with my siblings and dad this year. One thing we decided to do for each other is to send gifts to our nieces and nephews straight from the store and the parents do the wrapping for each other. We're just giving each other the heads up once the order has been placed. I wasn't interested in getting the kids gift cards since I did that last year. It's crazy to get free shipping from a store and then turn around and spend over $10 to ship items from my place.

If you want something outdoorsy, Merrell is having a winter boot sale. I just looked at Merrill and didn’t see anything - though they do have some good hiking boots. I’m looking for a basic low boot I think. Not technically a winter boot - I just don’t wear boots in summer so I think of them as my winter shoe. I like these - the only problem is I want a higher heal since I am on the shorter side - I think I like 1.5-2 inches. Well made, nice leather, comfortable, slip on, and a nice brown. With a perfect heel haha

If you are looking for a non-weather-related bootie, I’ll keep my eyes open for you. The only ones I have seen recently that have a heel and and are pull-on/no zipper are cowboy-style booties and boots. But, I love shoe shopping, so I’ll look for you when I’m looking for me. eta: how about these: www.whitemountainshoes.com/whitemountain/white-mountain-shoes-destiny-bootie.html
