Good morning ladies. I don't know what it's like where you are. But here in Toronto it's winter.
Black Friday sales. Well I didn't go crazy. Did buy from my lss and some local online stores.
Almost bought the go press foil machine. Not like the minc but the one that heats up to use the dies. I will wait for boxing day I think.
Still have some cards to finish. But have sent a ton already. Received a ton already too. Will finally Open them up tonite or tomorrow pending how my drive home goes.
Never enough time is there. I have next week 3 days off. Looking forward to some crafting. I have one day that I have to run out but rest of time is mine

I can't believe it's December. I think I'll have to do a layout about doing all my shopping online.
For 28 years, my DD and I, along with another mother/daughter, went to the Mall of America the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was our tradition and none of us would miss it. Well, we missed this year. We did a Zoom call instead. I think I better save up extra money, because I feel like once I can shop in the stores again, I'll go a little overboard!

Well, it’s morning of the 1st and I’m at work so no scrapping yet ‘this month’ lol but I’m annoyed last night I realized I can’t find my box of most used memory planner bits I looked “everywhere” and can’t find it.
So after work my desk is getting a BIG clean up everything needs to go away and if it doesn’t have a place I need to make one. I probably need to start with my embossing box as there’s loose embossing powder in there messing everything up

It has been winter here in NE Alberta for awhile, but the temps are supposed to be way above melting this week. The good news is the warm weather may encourage dh to put up the outdoor lights. The bad news is that the snow will be gone and we will be back to that ugly brown/grey yard and fields again. The roads are kind of a zero sum kinda thing: no snow or ice after the melt, but the likelihood of freezing rain with snow when Winter decides to assert itself again... Going today to pick up the copies of my calendar pages, so hope to be assembling the calendars for the kids this week (gluing in my monthly LO's and writing in the birthdays and anniversaries on the dates). Also hoping that by the end of the week all of the gifts I ordered will be in hand so I can wrap them up and put them into the mail. Not doing a DD, but had a weird dream last night about needing to snap a photo for each day. Of course, the way dreams work, I was in a home I have never been in, didn't know how to use my camera, and the whole neighbourhood was in our yard watching someone harvest with a really strange machine... If you like winning prizes, you can enter every day over at The Creative Scrapbooker magazine's 12 Days of Christmas event

Winter temps are starting to set in here, and we're lucking out with no precipitation in the next week forecast. But it's enough to not feel guilty about staying inside and playing with my scrap stuff!
I'm hopefully going to a weekend retreat on the 11th, so I have to think about what I want to complete there. I think I know, but I might change my mind. The biggest thing to decide is if I want to take more stuff, or less stuff. I have a lot of kits I want to get together, so those could be perfect to take. but, those can be perfect to work on in the evenings too. Such hard decisions, lol.
I just joined ACOT for the subscription box, and just was notified it shipped, so I'm excited for that to come!

I signed up for the swap at the last minute, and I've never done one before, so I just sent store-bought cards this year, but I told my husband I'd get started in January for next year. This week I'll be making my handmade Christmas cards for my family - I'll do about 30. I wish I did them earlier, but the fall is such a busy time at work for me that I never actually get around to it. As of today things are a lot quieter though. I did order the foil press for myself for Christmas (from my son, he asked me to order scrappy stuff for him to give me). It was a good price at scrapbook.com so I bought it, but then I saw that scrapnstamp.ca had all Gemini stuff half price on Cyber Monday and I was so annoyed with myself for not ordering from them - it would have arrived here in a week. It's pouring rain, grey and miserable in my part of Ontario about 5 hours east of you scrappington - Toronto sounds like it's not as dreary as Ottawa today.

Both of the orders I was waiting for have arrived. They're gifts for me. Should I put them away, or let myself play? I'm thinking play!

If you ordered them, then go play. If not, you have to wait until Christmas morning.

My monthly crop normally skips Dec but they are meeting this weekend and I will finish my niece and sister in law's baby books that I am giving them for Christmas. I am confident I can finish.
I am trying to get my cards done. I send store bought but I send a little over 50. I have my newsletter done and the fireplace photos of my boys that I've been taking for 26 years. My son moved to California so we took it before he left. I can have them done this week.
Putting up my tree is a disaster. I don't even have the lights on it yet. It is such a big process to put it up and I adore it when it is done, but I am getting to the point that I can see where people go to small trees. Because of the quarantine I mercifully did not have any antique ornament displays to do this year. I am sending my son's ornaments to him and can't find any of them, which means I put them someplace safe and can't find them.
My family is on me to come up with gifts for myself and I can't think of anything. I spent $400 on clearance stickers at Michaels and I can't honestly think of anything I want. At this time in my life I'm more about giving and buying what I want for myself. But my family loves to get me things so I'll think of something. I wanted a Cameo 4 but decided I will never use it for the money.
I haven't been on 2peas a lot because I don't have much going on. I love checking in but not much to contribute. My happiness is still in my scrapping!

I cleaned out my stamp bins, didn’t find it. I cleaned out my ink bins, no luck. I cleaned pretty much everything in my craft area, couldn’t find it. Then about an hour later I decided to look under my cabinets and shelves and there I found it. Whew. I would heave really really missed that box since I use it all the time in my planner So I didn’t get much done besides all the cleaning.

All 3 of my Shutterfly photo books are complete and ordered. Whew. I think that is the earliest I have ever completed them.

Are any of you that will not be celebrating Christmas with family outside your home taking more every day type photos to remember this weird holiday season? Last night I took a few photos of the tree and some individual ornamanents.

Last night I took a few photos of the tree and some individual ornamanents. I've been trying to do this over the last few seasons. Christmas has been changing as the kids get older, so I'm trying to focus on other things too. More pictures of the decorations, more pictures of the tv showing what movie I'm watching, more pictures of ME making cookies & other goodies.

I didn't buy anything during black friday. I was not feeling it. I had purchased a bunch of the Prima Sugar Cookie collection at the beginning of November and have been playing with that. I have so much Christmas papers etc. that I'm good for a long while. All I NEED to do is take a bunch of pictures. lol

Yes, I'm taking so many more photos these days - mainly because I'm home all day instead of going into my office, and my son and husband are home, too - plus everything is so different so there's plenty of interesting things to document. I've had to add extra pages to my Project Life. I don't know how I'll stick to one photo per day for my December Daily, but I only have 15 page protectors for that so I have no choice. I still have to start my DD - I'm afraid of getting too far behind because then I won't do it at all. I write about my day every evening in Day One, so that's helpful. I have to finish my Christmas Cards for my family first - those should be done on Sunday, and then I get to play with all of my other Christmas projects.

Almost bought the go press foil machine. I finally got the transfer gel duo and did some foiling (no heat) w/my stencil and a cuttlebug. I like the way it turned out - and no laminator taking up room in my craft space. I've been on a card-making spree - even though I should be doing some DD (maybe today)

That foiling turned out beautifully, @zingermack ! I think I need to get some new cutting mats for my Vagabond. The ones I have are so scratched that it is hard to get a smooth surface, I think. Have yet to do any cards or pages this month, but I have been playing around with an outline sticker igloo and inks. Think I can use it as a background for one of the Elizabeth Craft die sets I ordered last year in the after Christmas sales.
hop2, that 12x12 will be a cherished gift! Will you frame it? Or mount it somehow for wall hanging? I did some baby canvases and shadow boxes of different grandkids. No "greats" in our family yet... Ha ha! I planned my own surprise Christmas gift for this year! Dh handed me some cash and told me to "Get yourself something for Christmas", so I emailed the LSS, told them the total, and asked them to put together a wrapped gift for me. And they sounded excited to do it! Just have to figure out a way to pick it up... Have been taking pic's of the slow transmorgification of my home for the holiday season. Still alot to do there. The family calendars are assembled and by the end of today I hope to have the gifts for at least two of my kids' families wrapped and in boxes ready to ship early in the week. If I remember and if I have some light, I will take pic's of the wrapped gifts and maybe a box or two with gifts inside.

I’ll get a 12x12 frame from michael’s which is what I did for my great nephew
If I do more I’ll just get them each an album and switch them out.
Also it’s not as ‘great’ as it sounds generation wise. My ‘great’ niece & nephew ( who are great btw ) would be my sister’s grandchildren if she were still here. But since they are the children of my niece I think that makes them my great niece & nephew no? Maybe I’m wrong and they are my grand niece & nephew? My first niece & nephew once removed? But not the same generation as if my possible future grandchildren had kids. Something I’m pretty sure I’m too old to to be here for. Anyway I get the terminology from my parent telling us that my fathers aunts were our great aunts. But they could have been wrong. I have fond memories of my great aunts
I just call them ‘great’ here irl I just call them my niece & my nephew

Looked it up, and Oxford Dictionary defines them as either "great-niece" or "grandniece". I usually refer to that generation as "my niece's kids" or "my nephew's kids" or sometimes just as my nieces or nephews. They all call me "Auntie Dee".

We have had the best weather lately in Colorado Springs since mid November. It has been sunny, calm and hovering in the 40's-60's. We did get a couple day cold snap, but that disappeared. When it is gorgeous like this, I usually pack up the pups and drive to the nature center or nearby trailhead and go for a 90 minute + hike with the pups. I've also been wrapping my presents and finally got everything that is in the house wrapped, tagged, and bowed up.
Somehow since Thanksgiving my craft room has taken a hit. I blame the Michaels sale and tag making. Tomorrow I need to finish up making some more tags for next year and then clean up my room.
I have our cruise from 2019 to finish and then can start on 2002.

I definitely feel too young (at age 51 ) to have two grand-nephews, but I do - I call them "my niece's kids" as well, grammadee. I never use the terms great-nephew, sounds too odd. I finished all of my family's Christmas cards and will be mailing them in the morning, what a relief. Now I can start on my December Daily album, so excited. I can't wait to use some of those free cut files we've been getting in the 12 Days of Christmas promos going on on so many websites.
