I think I want to print photos at home, which printer should I get?

I got the Epson Picture mate 400 back in May. I love it. It prints 5x7x and 4x6. It was recommended here. The price on Amazon varies. Right now it's over $400 . The price changes often. I think several of us have gotten it for about $120.

Another vote for the Epson Pm-400. I’ve had it for 2 or 3 years now and I really like it. It has worked well and the pictures are a nice quality. And I agree to wait for the price to go down.

Ditto. It’s a fantastic printer.
I use Persnickety Prints for larger photos, but that doesn’t happen often.

The only thing I will add is if you think you’d want to do 8x10 at all look into a different printer. Although I do really like the printer and recommend it, I do wish I could do 8x10 and larger. I no longer print through services like Shutterfly so I don’t have larger pictures when I want or need to be more intentional (I now print as I go which has saved me time and money)

I have an older Canon Pixma 922 so I can print multiple photos (different sizes/collages/etc) on one 8x10. I use photoshop elements to make my smaller photos. I also have a selphy 1300. I like it, but don't love it. it has limitations. Like the stupid, uneven border size.
I would recommend a Pixma (newer model) if you want more options. Ink is expensive though.

My CANON Pixma 922 died last week. I LOVED that printer. After calling Canon for recommendations, I purchase the newest model that was closest the CANON TR8620. I will install today.

I have an all-in-one printer, the Epson XP 8500. I can print 4x6 up to 8x14. I decided against the PM400 because I don't have a lot of space and needed a regular printer as well. I also wanted the capability of scanning. I wouldn't mind having the PM400, it's a solid photo printer.

I have an older Canon as well - the MG5150. I like it because I can print on anything from a 3x4 journaling card up to A4 and it has both a tray and rear tray. When it finally dies, I think I'll be replacing it with another Canon.

Love, Love, Love my Epson PM 400. You can get them at B&H photo for 199 if Amazon doesn't have them or they are overpriced. They do go on sale on Amazon every once and a while. I do all my photo printing at home now because the quality is better than any processor I have used.

The Epson PM 400 is hopefully coming to my house for Christmas! I wasn’t concerned about printing bigger than 5x7 as I wanted it for scrapbooking in the moment. If I was at the point of planning pages ahead of time I would pre-order larger sizes from Costco.

The pm400 is on sale at Epson's website for $199.99. Also says something about free ground shipping.

I quit scrapbooking about 3 years ago. But this year for the first time I am commiting to do a December Daily. So I thought how easy would it be if I could just print the pictures as I am doing it. Two days ago I went to order the Epson as a gift to myself and it was sold out everywhere! I was so bummed. But yesterday I looked again and found it on the Dell website. At the sale price most others have it for. Whew. It is already on its way. Thanks for enabling me.

I paid $199 at Best Buy, but Amazon has it for $179.

I GOT IT!!! I got the Epson PM 400 for Christmas from DH and kids. I'm SO excited. I read the directions, seems easy. My DS (23) asked me today, so mom, have you used your new printer yet? LOL, no, not yet. I plan on it tomorrow though.
