akathy You are thinking of Deliverance. The Hitcher. It had me on the edge of my seat screaming. I saw the Hitcher in the theater with my brother and one other theater goer (it was the middle of the day in the middle of the week, apparently not a popular time to see a suspense movie) and the other person would laugh this deep laugh during the really, really tense parts. Totally made it even creepier to me! My brother and I still wonder what was up with him.

Prisoners - 2013. Oh my worrrrrrd.... so intense. And Primal Fear... really good. Still haven't seen Gone Girl, might see it tomorrow night. Lisa Primal Fear is a good book too. There is a second book but I can't remember the name right now.

I was going to mention Primal Fear, but I see someone else has. That was my first movie with Edward Norton and I just thought he was phenomenal.
Others that I loved that I don't think are on the list are: Still of the Night: This is one of Meryl Streeps earliest movies. I thought it was really good. Panic Room Side Effects Secret Window
Psychological thrillers are my favorite kind of movies!

I can't think of any new ones to add, but I agree psychological thrillers are the best!

Would Arlington Road count? With Tim Robbins and Joan Cusack playing the neighbors? That movie freaked me out.

I can't remember the name of it and it's probably more geared to teens, but the movie where someone is in the house calling the babysitter. And most of the ones already listed; I also found some new ones to check out.

what about SWF, I think that is the name, where the roommate changes herself to be like and look like her roommate.
