I'm another one who loses her reading glasses. Though one pair was recently chewed up by our dog, so that was one less pair to lose!

My mind - it's such a bad thing to lose. I go into a room to get something, bam, my mind Is somewhere else. I pick up the phone to call someone, same thing. Every stinking day.

[/p]
A couple of years ago, my dh said (while we were picking up a little): "What are these things? (holding up a hair elastic); when I told him, he said: "Oh, so you want me to keep them? I always throw them away."
Argh! I catch my dh throwing them away ALL THE TIME! Drives me insane! His response? "We have a ton of these, don't we?" I have three daughters and I swear I have to buy a couple new packs every month or so. He gets annoyed that the girls leave them laying around, so I think he thinks he's punishing them by throwing them away. I can't convince him that by constantly throwing these things away, he's just costing himself money. *bangs head against wall*

I don't lose things, they get stolen by my kids. Mainly, my magpie daughter. Sooooooo annoying. Things regularly missing are my debit card, my favorite top coat, my straightener, hair clips, ponytail holders, my scissors, my Uncle Si Tervis tumbler (STILL MISSING), my Emu boots, my flip flops, my contour powder, my eyelash glue, my conditioner. She drives me insane. LOL, I was going to post something very similar to this. I am very good about keeping up with my things because I *despise* looking for things that aren't where they are supposed to be. Unfortunately, no one else in my family feels this way

YES! Where do they go? I recently bought a pack each for DD and I. Sure enough, a couple of months later and I am down to my last one!!! I cleaned my study on the weekend and I actually found 3.
It used to be scissors and sticky tape because other people would use them and not put them back. So then I hid my scissors and tape, and bought several pairs or scissors and rolls of tape for the rest of the family. Now I never lose mine (because no one else know where they are).
A couple of years ago, my dh said (while we were picking up a little): "What are these things? (holding up a hair elastic); when I told him, he said: "Oh, so you want me to keep them? I always throw them away." AACCKKK!!! That sounds like something my DH would do!

Hair elastics, the thick covered ones for pony tails. I swear I buy a new pack of fifty every-other-month, because I don't know where they all disappear to. They are my cat's favorite plaything, so I'm sure when we start moving out of this house we'll find a secret hoard she's stashed somewhere.
I just passed two of the most recently absconded on the stairs. I'm sure there are dozens of ponytail holders and milk rings under certain pieces of furniture.
Also my mind. Yesterday I went downstairs to the kitchen three times for the sole purpose of getting a clean trash can liner for the computer room. The first two times I sidetracked myself and forgot the liner. I do stuff like that every day.

I don't lose my debit card often, but after reading this thread I did just that! I had it at the store last night and now it's gone. Usually I find it after looking in the all the usual places but no luck so far. Even called the store last night and also went this morning. No luck there either. Ugh.

The remote to the Roku. We have 3 boxes and are down to 1 remote. The funny thing is the only remote we can find is the oldest one, so it doesn't have things like a "back" button. Drives me insane. I'm sure the other two are down in the recesses of the sectional somewhere, but I've searched and searched and just can't find them. We've lost the Roku remote enough that I put the free Roku remote app on my phone. Now it's not such a travesty when it's lost.

You may have just changed my life! Thank you! Going to look it up now.
