I assume it's a "day in the life/week in the life" knock off. 10 photos on the 10th of every month.
I saw one of the DT members I follow on IG (Shannon Dombrowski) was planning on doing this in 2021. Seemed like a doable idea to go along with my monthly/weekly/figure it out as I go PL for 2021.
Just need to figure out what album I want to use for this. Not sure if I want to use a CT album, 6x8 or 6x12 (only one of the bunch I don't have in my possession.)

Hmm that sounds interesting. I've been wanting to do a project like this but have never been successful. But maybe if I can make a plan for myself and do simple PL app pages it may work. TFS

I'm trying to think of who else I've seen doing a similar project - I think different numbers of photos on a different day each month (12 on the 12th? 15 on the 15th?). No easy way to search for those though. ecvnj58 do you do something like this? ETA: looks like that 10onthe10th IG hashtag is used for lots of other things, especially 10 things to tell you podcast content! I couldn't find any scrap related stuff from a quick IG search. But I know I've seen those kinds of projects out there.

I’m going to join Shannon on the 10 on the 10th though because 12 has been too many to fit on a layout 🤣 Someone else used to do 12 photos on the 12th in the scrapbooking community years ago. The photography community also has the hour by hour project which I have done. It comes out to 12-14 photos for the day.

I don’t think I could remember to take a picture every hour and 10 sounds like a nice round number. Hm. I could also do this as a 2 page 12x12 spread.

She shared the hashtag #10on10scrapbooking but nothing there yet. She has some stories on the topic too.

Francine from callaloo soup has been doing this for awhile. The link above is for a blog post she did about this. Here's her instagram too: Callaloo Soup
That being said, I will probably join in, but I always say I'll do it and never actually do it.

Wasn't this something the original two peas did a long time ago? It sounds vaguely familiar. I'm not interested in it though. My life is quite mundane.

Amy Gretchen used to do this - but it was 12 photos on the 12th.

Amy Gretchen used to do this - but it was 12 photos on the 12th. I always loved her 12 on the 12th blog posts. Her photos are gorgeous. I've never attempted something like that but her layouts were always so cool. 10 on the 10th might be more approachable.

I like this idea. I guess it can be a mini monthly DITL. I am going to play around in photoshop to see what format I would like.

I think I might do this. I’ve been feeling like my scrapbooks are missing the little bits of daily life, so I think this would be a doable approach for me.

I'm pretty sure Elizabeth Dillow and Angie Lucas were part of it then. So it probably pre-dates Day in the Life / Week in the Life. Wasn't that around 2014/15 ish? Anyone else remember the short-lived Ella Publishing?

Ok this is my template: square photos, 5x8 trade book, Kerri Bradford block of time stamps for the month, everyday explorers 29 prompts for decoration. Reminder Sunday is the 10th. http://instagr.am/p/CJzzlBWli6s

I’m using a 6x8 SC album with one 6x8 pp and the rest mainly 4x3.
I need to print my 6x8 photo.

Am I the only one who never attempts these types of theme albums? It's not that I don't like the idea. Probably the fact that I have so many photos waiting to be scrapbooked I mentally tell myself I don't need another project?!?!

I know I wouldn’t remember to do it monthly. I think I could do 5 on the 5th a couple of times a year as a little slice of life.

As it is described here I am not interested either. I don't want to take 10 random photos on a particular calendar date and then scrap them. I have WAYYYYY to many photos to scrap already. Now I could possibly see altering the idea to something like a photo a day for 10 days, or a photo every month for 12 months. I do that with photos of my DGD. I choose one photo each month and put it on a 2 page layout that runs the entire year. I'm wondering, because I don't really understand it, what is this photo prompt supposed to achieve? Why is a certain number of photos on a certain day, for lack of a better term, scrapworthy? I know anything can be scrapworthy in actuality if a person wants to scrap it, but what is the motivation? I am truly wondering.

I could do this as 5 faves or 10 faves right now to capture each month what I’m loving or what others in my family are loving. Could be a photo of each item, or just one photo and a list. Wouldn’t have to be on the tenth, because if I forgot to do it that day, it wouldn’t have to derail the project. That would be more doable for me - I work better with more flexibility. 😃

There's no reason other than because '10 on the 10th' sounds catchy. That's my guess. And it's a way to capture a 'slice of life' if you're not already doing it in some other fashion. But mostly because it's a catchy title.

I used to take a selfie every month and write down 8 things I was feeling, doing, wanting at that time. So, 8 on the 8th. I can't remember where I got the idea from but I'm sure it was someone from. 2019 was the last year I did it. It was pretty enlightening to go back and look at what things stayed the same and what changed over the years.
