I'm supposed to be chilly for January and February. I'm already getting a Scraproom kit. But I made the mistake of checking out Hip Kit this month and I want it baaaaaaaad. I think it's because there's so much lavender\purple. How fun and not often used color!
Talk me down....I don't need it. Something better will come along when I'm not spend chilly.
Update: The kit came today and I'm so not disappointed I bought it. So many embellishments that I can use with my crochet crafts layouts. I just love the entire kit.

You made me look!
I absolutely love the January papers, but there's no way I can justify the shipping on them.
I'm really in the mood for those florals, and the dot paper too. I'm honestly not sure how I would use them. They just make me happy to look at them.
That said, I just don't have enough of a reason to spend on them. It's an easy enough pass for me.

but there's no way I can justify the shipping on them. Are you in the US? Shipping was only $8.95. I thought that wasn't too bad. And just to let you all know, I skipped my Scraproom kit this month. And I ordered Hip Kit with the add-on cardstock. I'm terrible, but at least I traded off a bit. Hip Kit was more expensive, but at least I don't feel too bad about it.

You’re supposed to be chilly in Jan and Feb, so I’ll just say that it’s not January yet! Money spent in December doesn’t count. 😉

I'm only interested in the paper kit for $15.95, so shipping would end up being a third of my total cost. Nah. I can buy more papers for less money at ACOT and have them ship for $3.99. They won't be the same, but I'll still be happy.

My total purchase was $50 so that $8.95 didn't look too bad.

A few of my favourite scrappy places charge for shipping. So only if there is an AMAZING sale do I buy from them (as in once or twice a year). I am super wanting to subscribe to the Hip Kit too... but I would want a bunch of stuff, and my total would probably be a whole lot of $$. Instead, I will ask my local scrapbooking store to special order my favourite items, or just buy something similar. I am trying my best to support a few LSS at this time - as with their cancelled crops and classes, they might not be around following the pandemic. But if you really, really need it... go for it

Ooooh, it's so pretty JG, I can see why you caved in and bought it! What a pity they don't do a digital version (like I need another kit!).

Ummm, it isn't January yet. Get it. I like the way you think! For me, when I put restrictions on myself, it makes me want things even more. While I have way too much stuff, if I find something I looooove, I just make myself use it next. That way I feel like it isn't wasted money. I had to have the Mintay line of Winterland and it is out on my desk. Today we got a good snowfall, and I took some pictures so I could make sure to use it for some of my holiday photos.

Well I don't do a lot of buying willy nilly. I actually have a pretty small stash. I just buy things here and there. And then use them. So I'm not at all the type to sit on something. I'm sure this will get used.

Ummm, it isn't January yet. Get it. That's what I was going to say as well. It's December, so you're not in violation of any self imposed spending rules. Those rules begin in January.

I don't know why I continually think I have to justify all my purchases. But I always think that.

I might need both kits. The purple and (holy crap) insane number of puffy stickers (swoon, my faves) make it super tempting.

The January kit will be my last from Hip Kit Club for a bit. I love their kits and service, but I just need to get through my stash and save some money, but I will definitely be re-subbing with them later in the year. I'm just glad my last kit for a while is so pretty!

I caved. The lavender won me over. I’m trying to decide if I want to splurge on the embellishment kit. I really need the floral ephemera pack.

It sounds like there's no reason not to buy it except for a self imposed limit you've decided on (for a good reason?). If you love it, you will use it, and you can afford it, what's the harm? But then again, you also didn't know it existed 3 days ago and you were fine, so it's not a "need." You didn't go there specifically looking for lavender purple supplies for a specific project. If it was any other color I'd probably say you don't need it, but I know those colors are much harder to find, so that is a little different.

How did I not know about Hip Kit Club?! The January kit looks amazing. For those of you who subscribe, have you been happy with the kits?
