I did it again tonight! Made 2 cards and cleaned up when done. I think someone told me once it takes 26 times to create a habit, so I've got 24 to go... I am lucky I'm not working from that space as well. I am loud at work (I'm a music therapist) so I had to set up a workspace in a room woth a door. I need to do this, too! I am the WORST. I have so much stuff and I'm not organized so it's hard to work. If I can get my Christmas put away on Saturday, I have all day Sunday and Monday to organize. It's years in coming. I have organized so much of the rest of my life and it has given me so much extra time, so I know this will help.

My Jenga system seems to work. I pull out stuff and play with it with my focus on whatever I am creating. I usually work on one theme at a time, for example Summer scrapbook pages. As I finish with a supply or tool, it gets set down with little thought. When I need it for the next page or card, I search til I find it--or decide to use an alternate--and the process starts again. When the piles start tipping over when I look for something under or in them, when I seem to not be able to find ANYTHING, or when I am moving on to a new theme, it's time to clean. (Although I have been known to have Christmas and Winter and Birthday and School supplies all in the mix And when the stuff IS put away, I often find myself looking for it where it WAS, on the counter top... That sounds like my worst nightmare, but if it works for you and you can mostly find things then hey, keep up the good work. Because I'm pretty tidy and still only mostly find things I'm looking for.
