My friend's husband found her unresponsive two days ago. They did CPR and got her back, but not really. Today they made the decision to let her go.
She was not the same since COVID.
I am heartbroken.
Update 2/22 My friend got to leave the hospital and go to rehab last week. They are hoping she will get to go home on Thursday. She got to eat solid food for the first time since before Christmas this past weekend.
She still has a long road of recovery, but at least she is getting better
Thank you for your positive thoughts
After multiple weeks in the ICU being on a ventilator, she is doing better. She has been moved out of ICU and into a normal hospital bed.
She isn't 100% out of the woods, but it's a win for now.
OP She's been intubated and her o2 was at 77. She is mid 50s, is overweight, has diabetes, and asthma.
Tribbey: I believe, as long as Justice Dreifort is intolerant toward gays, lesbians, blacks, unions, women, poor people, and the first, fourth, fifth, and ninth amendments, I will remain intolerant toward him! [to Ainsley] Nice meeting you
My sister had a friend that was the same, 50s, overweight, asthma, and while she didn't have diabetes going into the hospital, she had it coming out. She survived, she was in the hospital for weeks and is still recovering, but she survived.
