seaexplore. What a fabulous baby gift! I just love those little shoes. So cute. How did you come to make little shoes? Such a creative endeavor. Emelle PS hope your fabric reaches you soon. I’m waiting for mine too but it hasn’t even shipped yet.

I finished up my Perfect Pocket Shawl this morning. It always feels good to get a project done... My youngest cousin just had a pacemaker put in. She is only 26 years old and has been plagued with heart problems. It's very sad. I recently had blown up a picture of our grandparents for her. I have framed it. And I will mail this shawl and that photograph to her.  |

Oh how pretty jeremysgirl. I am sure she will love it. My DD is 26 and has congenital heart problems. Three open heart surgeries down so far with lots of mechanical parts. You should hear her. We call her the alligator from Peter Pan. LOL! Praying your cousin does well with the pacemaker! |

Have y'all ever used any yarn made by Premier Yarns? I have 3 cakes that I love. I just went to their site, and they have a rewards program when you purchase plus from what I see, the cakes are $1 cheaper each than at retailers. Hmmm? Anyway, I got mine at AC Moore when they were still in business. The cakes are anti-pill, and I love anti-pill yarn. I’m waiting for mine too but it hasn’t even shipped yet.  So.... the person getting the gray shoes is a past student of mine (I ADORE HER!) and gave me a pair when my now 9 year old was born. My kid LIVED in them so I looked for a pattern I could use to make more for her. Then I had another baby- a boy this time and made him like 10 pairs. They're my go-to baby gift. Everyone LOVES them and the babies actually leave them on! Here's the pattern. I do mine a little differently because I don't want to see the elastic on the top. I don't interface completely- just where the holes for elastic will in the lining of the upper. I sew all the way around the backs and then top stitch and 1/8" from the edge (I don't mess with the fold over and iron mess!). Grrr.... I went out to sandblast the glasses for my sister (last minute order for a wedding on Sunday)- I'm taking them to her on Saturday and the vinyl blew out when I hit it with the sand. It's not even cold out! Like 55. It shouldn't be brittle. Thankfully I have 6 more glasses I can try and I only NEED 2 of them for this gift. I'm just annoyed. On a good note- my die made it from the dark vortex of the Tracy Fed/Ex office. . It's here. My fabric is expected tomorrow. |

My dd wanted me to “ask your ladies” about this. Lol. I thought maybe you crafters would know the answer. She used this iron on transfer paper to put an embroidery pattern on this sweatshirt. But after transferring it this residue is left. It’s not sticky, it’s just there. Part of it seems to peel off in little bits easy enough but it would take forever to get it off that way. She googled but a lot of the suggestions were to use some product such as rubbing alcohol and she’s afraid to ruin the sweatshirt. Do any of you crafting experts know a sure fire way to get it off?  |

I’ve not used one for many years so my suggestions could be way off beam but my initial thoughts are maybe the iron wasn’t hot enough to melt it or is it one where the backing dissolves in water? Were there no instructions with the piece? |

I would guess wash out. Have her get a bit of it wet at the edges and see what it does. |

My fabric made it to me! My die showed up yesterday. I won't get to play until sunday at the soonest! I did get the glasses successfully sandblasted! Just finished. I'll get them cleaned up and share a picture. |

If the kittens will let me, I’ll finish this tonight. It just needs one long border and some of a short finishing off. I’m half way through the other Queen, which is much more muted, and half way through the bat shawl. Which to pick up next, hmm.  |
