Erm . . . . maybe. Possibly a few more . . . I know I would end up having things I never completed if I did that. Don't you always choose your favourites to work on? I am a habitual starter of things, all of which are my favourite at the time. I do like to butterfly between things and feel I eventually get more done that way. I had expected both Queens snd the shawl to be finished before Christmas but work got in the way big time so they ended up in hibernation for 6 weeks. My new favourite is in the bedroom! I want to do Tinna’s Montana Pocket Shawl and the yarn for that is currently in a sealed box. www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/montana-7 I am itching to get it started.

Oh how pretty jeremysgirl . I am sure she will love it. My DD is 26 and has congenital heart problems. Three open heart surgeries down so far with lots of mechanical parts. You should hear her. We call her the alligator from Peter Pan. LOL! Praying your cousin does well with the pacemaker! Can you hear the sounds? Really?

If the kittens will let me, I’ll finish this tonight. It just needs one long border and some of a short finishing off. I’m half way through the other Queen, which is much more muted, and half way through the bat shawl. Which to pick up next, hmm. I love this!
I ordered my neon yarn It could be a while before it get here though, An Post are still dealing with parcels from early December!

I finished up my Perfect Pocket Shawl this morning. It always feels good to get a project done... My youngest cousin just had a pacemaker put in. She is only 26 years old and has been plagued with heart problems. It's very sad. I recently had blown up a picture of our grandparents for her. I have framed it. And I will mail this shawl and that photograph to her. I just love this. It looks so cosy and those are the colours that I wear. I love the red and black one too, but this one is my favourite.

Not sure how I could post it here. Oh and a funny I just remembered. One of her students said to her "Miss C, what is that ticking sound?" My daughter was ready to tell the student it was the clock in the room but then remembered she has a digital clock in her classroom. At that point she realized the student was hearing her heart!

I often have 2 or 3 projects on the go at a time. Generally, I will have a pair of socks which are really simple and also portable, and something like a sweater, which is obviously larger, and maybe has more complicated patterning or shaping. As well, my socks are on really small needles and my sweaters are on larger sizes. What I work on depends on a lot of factors - how much concentration I have, if my hands need a change of needle size, if I'm at home or on the go. Sometimes I just get on a roll with a project, and work on it monogamously, other times I might be having a problem figuring something out, so I'll change projects to give me thinking time.

I'm glad she's doing well.

I'm glad she's doing well. Oh no, she doesn't have a pacemaker. She has two artificial valves (aortic and mitral) and a patch on her aorta. It's the mechanical valves you can hear.

She will have to have open heart surgery again to replace the valves in about 20 years, and she is always at risk for things so she has to be careful but otherwise, yes.
