My ‘ lainey made me’ yarn package arrived just now and it is all so pretty. I went in search of the neon yarn when she showed it on here, then added a couple more skeins, then realised that I only needed one more for free shipping, so what’s a girl to do but add one more skein to the cart.

sueg I am really digging middle row left. I think that one is my favorite. But I can't wait to see all the socks.

sueg I am really digging middle row left. I think that one is my favorite. But I can't wait to see all the socks. That one was the last one I chose, when I needed one more to get me to the free shipping level. I am really glad I did buy it, as IRL it is prettier than the picture on the website. I am very envious of all that lovely Opal yarn!!! Opal is my all-time favourite sock yarn - pretty colors, knits up beautifully and wears like iron. Meilenweit - front row, next to the neon Opal - runs a close second. Oooo, I'm not even sorry, that is some beautiful yarn. The middle right one is gorgeous After the neon pink, that was the next one into my shopping cart. It is also even prettier IRL. I am not sure how I am going to decide which one to knit up first - I think the neon pink and the grey Opal are frontrunners.

I have got the terrible itch to buy more yarn today. I'm trying to stop myself. I have no projects in mind either. I think I am just getting antsy because my Jimmy Beans monthly shawl club first installment should ship next week and I'm being really impatient. Plus sueg got yarn!!! Whine. If she can have new yarn, so can I!

lainey, sueg or other sock knitters 😊 Can you help please? I have adjusted the sockalong lady’s number of stitches having measured my foot but the rib looks small 🤔 Is that typical or do I need to look at it again and perhaps cast on more stitches than I thought? Thank you 😊

Thank you 😊 The rib does look small once you have done a few rows. That's because it pulls in, so it hugs your leg and helps the socks stay up. How many stitches have you cast on?

Ok, thanks- now I feel like I must have cankles 😂 Just kidding 😊 I just put it against a normal sock and it was smaller but maybe not enough to worry about 😊

I make mine with 72 - a combination of a tight gauge and large ankles.

Here’s my last bracelet- it’s the widest one that I’ve attempted with 29 rows. So it’s almost 1 3/4 in. wide. This hobby is getting expensive!

I started rock painting. I wanted something cheap, portable, easy to clean up, and that wouldn't make a product that I felt guilty about adding to waste/landfill. I'll throw them in my garden.
I do a lot of rock painting. I'm always posting "inspiration" on Pinterest, which is almost as fun as actually painting them. I also wrap rocks using raffia, thin leather strips or yarn. I often leave them places for others to find or give them as gifts. (People love receiving rocks with their initials on them.) If you need flat rocks, let me know; I can mail you some so you don't have to buy them.

So do you want to hear something silly? I had the row correct the first time. I had one stitch in the whole row off. And I ripped it back. And then I did it completely wrong the second time. And I ripped it back again. And last night I did it for a third time. And now I need to do the next row and that will ensure I did it correctly if my next row works without issue. But man, I'm kicking myself right now. I finally had to pull it out of the naughty corner yesterday and do that dang-blasted row again. Fingers crossed I can move forward. Ha!

Ha! FTR y’all are also why I started crocheting in 2020 How is your Woodland blanket coming along? Slowly! But I finally seem to have made it past making constant mistakes. I’m working on it right now and am probably about 40” or so into it. I’d bet if I hadn’t had to rip things out so much I’d be at about 60.” This is by far the most time consuming project of any sort that I’ve taken on in a very long while! I plan on making it an oversized throw. The width without border is 57” and i plan on the length being about 70.” The other throw I made in the late fall was with bulky yarn and I thought THAT took a long time. Ha! How do y’all part with your Afghans and blankets after putting so many hours into them???
