I finished the first months installment of the shawl. Nice. I was wondering about the kit. It didn’t look like much yarn. Good start though. Not sure I would want to spread something like that out for a whole year but then again not all of us are very quick. Looks like a fun project. But oh the waiting.

I know exactly what you mean about the waiting. A year is a long time. But I figure I like to shake it up. A rarely work on just one project start to finish. So I was cool with having it go on the side of other things I'm doing. Plus it gives me something to look forward to.

Ugh so very late to the party, I just found this thread today. I hadn’t seen or really looked for the other crafts thread on the challenge board and missed the link to come over here. Haven’t had a chance to read the whole thing and acquaint myself with everyone and what everyone is doing but what I did see looks very cool. Hello I finished a very simple little crocheted blanket this month, using up some yarn I had leftover from previous projects. I’m really over it after using it for 3 blankets, but it was a good way to learn and practice my crochet, and some kiddo will enjoy it (donating to YWCA). http://instagram.com/p/CKmN_NKgQtO Starting to experiment with some fancy yarn I was gifted and using the stitch from the Attic24 CAL blanket. Also waiting for the Attic24 yarn I ordered to arrive from the UK. I figured it was a good reward for finishing up the other blanket. The colors are to die for. http://instagram.com/p/CKmYL4_FWB2

I have just found out that my niece is expecting her first baby in July - a little girl. More tiny pink knitting ahead!

jeremysgirl loving your progress on your blanket. My plan is to start it in September so I will keep your comment about the order of the sections in mind. You put your finger on what was bugging me about it. lainey I'm sorry you are having trouble with migraines. I hope today is a better day for you. phoenixcov hope you are back to full strength soon. Hugs sueg how exciting, what are you going to produce first?

I have put my Queen to one side atm, I am aiming to get the border done before the end of Feb and to finish the charity blanket I'm doing. I set myself mini targets like, finish two balls before next Sunday night and it's been a help to make progress and feel I'm on top of things, ha.

sueg how exciting, what are you going to produce first? I have two things in mind. One is the basic cardigan I have knit for nearly all the babies in my extended family circle since Sophia. It is top down, one piece, with either a cable or lace pattern down the fronts. I have always made it with cables so far, as I've been knitting for unknown gender, so I might make the cable version this time. The second is a little bolero style cardigan that I also made for Sophia. I have enough yarn left from her cardigan I just finished to make it in the 3-6 month size.
