Today we got in about 1/2 cart of craft. Not sure if they didn't send much because our stores are doing their inventory or not.
Today I found a Superhero set of embellishments (3 packs of stuff for $4.99) and some Just Plane Fun Fancy Pants. There were 6 sheets of paper, ephemera, enamel dots, and a tag pack (same as the Superhero set, it just had an additional 6 pieces of paper. It was $6.99. Way cheaper than the previous kits for $11.99 and $15.99. Maybe they figured out pretty fast that they weren't selling much. The manager at one of my stores said he was told they might be downsizing the craft areas. It is also labeled as made for TM. They also had a bunch of new Bazzill paper for $4.99 and a lot of MME Christmas papers for $3.99. Cute stuff if you want to do Christmas cards.

Have any of you spotted any scrappy or crafty items at Burlington Coat Factory lately? I saw someone on FB post about it but no further details. Just a mention that they have craft items now. A few folks that I follow on Instagram have posted pics of crafty items at Burlington. I went to mine back in the fall, but at the time the only things they had were art supplies (markers, etc) and journals, books, etc.
I was surprised also that Ross now has a bigger section for crafty items - same folks on the gram had posted, so I went there to check it out (again - back in the fall - haven't gone in months to either of them); at Ross, I picked up some Illustrated Faith stamps, stickers, etc. boxed card sets from AC (3.99 at the time), cardstock, art supplies (the gel crayons), canvas panels, etc. Might be worth checking it out - especially with the price increases at TM. If I remember correctly, I told my hubby that everything at Ross seemed to be at least a dollar less than the TM prices (the old TM prices, not these new ones....)

Thanks for sharing about Ross. Both of those stores are in the same shopping center in my town so I’ll check out both today.

There is a Burlington right next to one of my Tuesday Mornings. I picked up 8 or 9 of the giant WRMK Lucky 8's several years ago at Ross. Since then, none of mine have had much.

I went to Ross today. Their craft section was small and sparse. Same with Burlington. But maybe, hopefully, it’s a start. Ross had some paints and lots of scissors. Burlington had two paper pads, a HS planner kit, and a few other things. Nothing I wanted at either store.

I saw a YT video where someone bought some 12x12 AC paper pads so I went to mine, but all it had was some AC vinyl rolls, a few WRMK paper trimmers and lots of pens/markers.

Some more of the 48 sheet 6x6 paper pads this week and some kitted up stuff from MME for $11.99. Nothing too exciting anymore. It's really disappointing, but it doesn't seem like I'm going to have anywhere to spend my scrappy money here soon. They're going to use the reduced offerings which naturally is leading to reduced sales to justify getting rid of crafts altogether. That area moved stuff like crazy when it was well priced and sold individually, so they just don't want to take the time to deal with small fiddly items that aren't high margin even if it sells well.

I think that they are also having a hard time getting items in. I keep reading about ships with giant containers in the ports unable to get the boats emptied. I was in NJ several years ago when they were having issues getting the merchandise off the boats (was it tariffs or workers' issues... can't remember). There was a massive amount of boats and containers just sitting in the storage areas untouched. Our host was telling us about it, but to see it mile after mile was shocking. The little 48 sheet paper pads (so actually 12 sheets of paper in total) was $6.99 here. That is crazy expensive for paper. I mean it fits right in with their packs of 12 sheets, a sticker and 2 sheets of ephemera for $11.99, so I shouldn't be surprisedI guess.

I went today and they hadn't even gotten their shipment for this week. She said it comes out of TX and it is delayed.

I also know that some of these companies are making papers just for TM and the quality isn't as good. I wonder if that is all happening in the US.

The employee said that today's craft cart was tiny. A noticed a few new stamps, but that was about it.

I went to TM this morning (the one on Powers 950Nancy) and I noticed that other home goods is taking up space in the craft aisle. I asked the clerk and she said that they are phasing out crafts company-wide. It's a sad day. I'm grateful I got what I got when TM was at its peak for scrappy stuff. I'm bummed.

That's so sad. I added so many things to my stash from TM. There was one in my town for a couple of years before the bankruptcy and it shut down. But during that time I took full advantage of it. Hopefully those discounted supplies will go somewhere similar.

As sad as it is that they are reportedly phasing out the crafts, I’m not totally surprised. They jacked up the prices, and crafters didn’t want to pay so much more. With the towels, bedding, home decor, etc., they can probably get away with higher mark ups.
I have a craft room with a ridiculously huge stash, and all too much of it came from Tuesday Morning. However, the last two months, I have stayed away. Other than perhaps a few of the 25 sheet packs of one design (that were reported not too long ago), I doubt I would have bought anything anyway, just based on the reports here.
I have loved some of those 25 sheet packs, though. I could be extravagant in my use of those papers. I used them extensively in my card classes, which were free because the cost of the papers I used was so minimal. One pack cost the equivalent of 4 or 5 sheets of paper at the LSS, which is too far a drive for me, anyway. The Graphic 45 packs were more expensive, but I have plenty of them, too. I have a room full of lovely papers from TM, so I will manage if they stop carrying crafts.
I’m still sad about them phasing out the crafts, though.

This is sad news if they are completely phasing out crafts items, but I have certainly bought enough to last. I’ve always thought their housewares were overpriced and not that interesting, so it looks like TM will be off my radar for the most part.
It was fun to pick up little things here and there, but I’m finding that paying higher prices but buying only things I love is costing less in the long run. Scrapbook.com ships so quickly, is usually a little discounted, and has become a more frequent go-to for my scrappy shopping.

My TM closed last year but for a brief two years, I was lucky enough to have a TM a few miles away from my house. I hope someone else can also confirm this with another employee, not because I disbelieve you or the clerk, but because I worked retail for long enough that I know how often corporate messages get garbled and/or how easily rumors get started!

It seems few to no new items have been stocked during the last several weeks. Bazzill cardstock packs (25-ct/same color) in neutrals are the only items I've purchased there this calendar year.
I only look at & buy scrapping/stamping items at TM. If the company eliminates the craft aisle, then I'll have no reason to stop there anymore.

I stopped by today. They had probably the best clearance prices I’ve ever seen. Picked up 4 thing and my total was under $2. My store has expanded the craft aisles there we probably 18 of those hanging shelves with paper. I only saw 1 new paper and it was a Photoplay Easter pack. My friendly cashier says things are coming in and they are getting restocked. Here’s hoping.

If I go to look at crafts, I do sometimes browse and buy other things, but the craft aisle is what has always gotten me in there.

I was finally able to get by my two TM's that are in completely opposite directions of each other and one is half an hour away from me and the other is usually about 45 minutes. I didn't have much hope cause like others have been reporting, it's been slim pickings.
So I was pleasantly surprised to find simple stories kits once again! They had last years Easter, I am, Going places, best year ever, the Princes one. All priced at $11.99 and coming with the paper kit, either ephemera or journal bits, and chipboard stickers or foam thicker like stickers. Also lots of echo park kits once again, and this time now labeled Mega Kits that include 12 double sided 12x12 papers including the cover, 6 double sided solid papers, 2 ephemera die-cut sheets and the usual sticker sheet for $14.99. They also had the echo park solids paper pads for $14.99 as well. 12x12 Kits from Authentic and Fancy pants. They put kits together with 6x8 paper pads, a large sticker pack and ephemera from MME and they are newer lines, Yay, Just Chill, and With Love and they all have gold foil accents on everything for $11.99.
I was very happy to finally find some happy scrappy stuff but did notice the lack of AC products.
I'm in Arizona and I haven't seen anything on Instagram yet showing hauls with these products yet so I don't know if I just happened to get lucky or what?

lostwithout2peas - Glad your trip was a success! Many of these items were received in previous months (check the date code in the upper right corner of the price tag) & discussed in corresponding monthly threads here if you want to take a peek. Note the $14.99 EP Solids Pad is priced at MSRP/not discounted. Mega Sticker Packs, each containing 10 sticker sheets from various EP/CB collections, are/were also available for $14.99/ea in the same themes as the EP Solids Pads (eg boy, girl, outdoors, winter, summer), if you’re interested or need an excuse to revisit. Hope you enjoy your haul!

Hmm, that's odd, cause my friend and I have been in to these stores since the date on the sticker, 1/21, and these where definitely not out there cause we would have grabbed them for us. The echo park packs aren't sticker packs, the are mega bundle paper packs with "extras" in it like solid papers, and ephemera cut outs along with double sheets of paper and the regular sticker sheet. Anywho, I don't know if my stores are getting things late, or are not putting them out on time, or possibly saved them for this month cause it's craft month? Who knows? Cause usually the good stuff doesn't sit too long and is snapped up right away. I did just watch a YouTube video by Ohdonna she did last week and she is showing the MME kits that I got as well. So those are fairly new.

In addition to the collection Mega Bundles (eg Baseball, Toy Box, Home Again, Practically Perfect) that you found, Mega Sticker Packs are/were also available for $14.99/each in the same themes as the EP Solids Pads (eg boy, outdoors, fall, spring). Given our store(s) on the East Coast seem to routinely receive shipments a week behind those on the West Coast & Midwest, perhaps your store experienced a shipping issue or its manager was waiting until inventory turnover increased due to space restrictions or the annual inventory count was completed to shelf products. Regardless the reason, I’m glad you were able to snag the items you wanted! I’m unfamiliar with the YTer, but the MME kits are also recent additions at our store(s).

I went to TM yesterday and got a My Minds Eye pack that contained a 6x8 paper pad, 4 sheets of stickers, and an ephemera pack for $11.99. I also got an Amy Tan travelers notebook for $2 on clearance, but when I got home I discovered one of the inserts was missing 😣. While I was there I picked up some baby bows for a niece due in April and my mom got a hammock for the backyard.

I posted to both TM's IG and their FB page and received replies that they were not planning to remove crafts. Maybe they're pulling crafts where it doesn't sell well so they can send more stock to other stores? IDK...they could be flat out lying for all I know.
