I've started the year with Yoga with Adriene's 30 Day Challenge. Walking 5 times a week is also a goal.

I started the 30 day challenge with Adrienne. Looking forward to that. My goal continues to be 15,000 steps a day on the days I don't have bootcamp. So, at least 5 days a week. I have a New Year's goal every year to learn a new sport. I'm trying to figure that one out right now. I think I might sign up for Tennis. I also want to learn kiteboarding, but not sure how that one is going to work - the equipment alone is difficult to access. In general, I want to enter my 60th year on earth as fit and active as I can possibly be.

Happy New Year everyone!!
I don't think I recorded for Saturday but I did complete Yoga with Adriene BREATH day 1
This week: Sunday 6 km walk and YWA Day 2
The rest of the week will be a mix of spin class, walking, yoga and YES I'm going to bring the weights out. I'm gonna do it.

I'm doing the Yoga with Adrien challenge, so far, so good. I couldn't do all of the day 2 poses, but could do enough to feel like I was successful.
Also doing the beginner plank challenge, and have tripled my time from 10 to 30 seconds!! LOL, I know it's a short duration, but am choosing to see it as tripling my performance in a week.
The plank is making my neck and shoulders really sore. I researched this phenomenon this morning and hope adjusting my neck and head position will help.

That plank yesterday with the mountain climbers was hell LOL. I've finished Adriene's 30 day January yoga series for the past 3 years. You really do increase your strength by the end of the challenge. Many of the moves are repetitive for a reason.

I am still working on improving my nutrition along with the exercise that I have been doing. I am increasing my stretching to see if that helps with my neck and back. I did a lot of exercise Friday and Saturday. Sunday not as much. Today I did 30 min on the elliptical, 20 min Glutes and legs (I am doing a three week glutes and legs challenge), and 10 min core. And some stretching.

Yesterday turned out not to be a bad day for my steps. I ended up close to 4 miles. I also had some trouble with the shoulder I jammed when I fell a few weeks ago. I will be doing some exercises to get that back in shape as soon as I do some research and figure out what to do!! I have a granddaughter that is a physical therapist, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. I'll just call her! Easy research!

Can someone who has never entered this thread join? I want to be consistent and hope I will be but dang, 2020 kicked my butt! I started off with Keto and walking last year and then just fizzed right out.
This year I have a mini elliptical that I have been using since mid-year last year. So I can say I moved. I just ordered a rowing machine and it should be to my house by the end of the month. The walking part is easy. I can walk indoors at my office when the weather is inclement and I have a mile figured out at home and the office.
At this point my point is to just move more! My health has been affected by several things in the past year. So I need get the health part under control. I jumped on the elliptcal last night and did a sad 3 minutes. But hey, that is 3 minutes more than the day before. I want to walk at least a mile a day by the end of the week. That will definitely be increased. I have to set the time aside for ME.
Thank you for having this thread to help me motivate myself.

Hi! i have been seeing your posts for a while now and am taking the plunge to join in! My plan is pretty simple, i do Crossfit 3x per week at my gym, and then on Saturdays I work out with a friend of mine at her place our mine (we both have well-stocked home gyms).
I slacked off a bit during the holidays because my work is insane during the month of December, and with schedules being off, that was another excuse. But now that it's 2021, i've been back at it starting Monday.
Look forward to getting to know y'all!

Joining in!
Walking is my exercise of choice, on the treadmill, outside and around the house. At least 15000 steps per day works best for me to help keep my glucose down, along with watching carbs.
Keep up the good work, everyone!

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday . . . all on task.
Thursday - shit show all over the place, I went to the couch and stayed there.
Today - shit show hangover, got in a small walk but nothing like I should have.
I'm going to have to pull it together, I feel like I'm going off the rails.
