I agree, this season wasn’t my favorite. Between the ugliness of Anna and Victoria, Matt’s relationship issues due to his parents break up when he was a child. His Mom doing him zero favors with her obvious relationship issues and making him question if he really knows what love is. Heck do any of us really know if love will last forever? It’s a great dream to have, but unless we choose to love someone everyday and they choose to love us back, it’s not guaranteed. He obviously doesn’t want to choose to love Rachel (which makes me think he never did) due to her past mistakes and obvious ignorance, it was just not my favorite season.
I do look forward to seeing if Katie and Michelle can make a go of it with someone, because I really like both of them, but I so wish they could find people in the real world instead. The odds of finding forever love on this show are just so low I think they both deserve better odds.

I am plugging my ears and humming, because I'm just about to watch last night's episode.

I have seen zero episodes of this show, but I saw on someone’s Instagram a clip from last night of the Bachelor talking to his mom and rubbing her leg. It was super creepy to me, did any of you notice that? Was it creepy or just the clip I saw? I don’t think my husband would even touch his mom on the leg, not to even pat her knee or anything.
Sorry I have nothing to really add, but I was just sho weirded out I had to come see if you all noticed or were discussing that.

This was a truly depressing season. He needs so much therapy. It's supposed to be a light, fun show and instead it turned into melodrama. Hope the show isn't going to be so weird in the future. The past couple of seasons were not good.

i agree that he needs therapy.
if he is that messed up in the head, he shouldn't have even been on the show.

I only watched up to Michelle being cut but do have a thought on Matt's mom. I saw someone who knew neither of these girls was right and thought that it was insane that Matt was caught up in the whole premise/pressure to give out a final rose and possibly get engaged. It was too fast, too artificial and not love. I'm glad Michelle and Katie are both getting seasons.

I was “watching” and peaing and totally missed the mom leg rub but he also rubbed the girls legs all the time so 😲

He often did the same thing to his dates. I think his whole family needs therapy!

I finally got to watch it today. What a mess. Here's a couple of my thoughts in no particular order:
I agree the stroking of his mother's leg was creepy. Real creepy. I have no doubt she loves her sons but she got into his head big time. And please, less blush. Judgmental, I know, but still.
I am glad that Katie and Michelle are the next Bachelorettes. BUT. the fact that Kaitlyn Bristowe is hosting is a big negative to me. I find her to be fake and so full of herself it's disgusting. And she has had so much work done that I didn't know it was her at first. Tayshia I like a lot.
Matt was so cold and rude to Rachel during the final rose. If I were her, I would have walked out.
This next part is just an observation with no judgement. People are going to love who they fall in love with. Three people of color have been on the show and all 3 have picked white partners. I wonder if Michelle will feel any pressure to pick a person of color. My sister-in-law is married to a black man but I don't see the color of his skin at all. I see the warm, funny man with a big heart that she fell in love with.

The beard has got to go. At the very least, trim it. Ugh. I agree with others about the rubbing of his mom's leg. I can't fathom my DS doing that to me. This season was a big disappointment. The mean girls, bringing in more girls a few weeks later, Matt's crisis with his identity issues. Like scrapmaven said, this is supposed to be a light, fun show. It was anything but.
