Two Boston police officers are under investigation for threatening social media posts after Jan 6th. One officer in particular, Joseph Abasciano, was publicly identified on Twitter as the author of a series of posts about the insurrection. Another officer, Michael J. Geary, reportedly wrote "rats get bats" in response to a Facebook post from the FBI seeking information on Capitol rioters. *** And Michael Hardin, a former officer from Kaysville, Utah who was named "Officer of the Year" in 2012, was arrested by the FBI after breaking into the Capitol. www.rawstory.com/rats-get-bats-boston-cops-under-investigation-for-threatening-posts-in-response-to-capitol-riot-probe/

He bragged about assaulting FIVE officers Jan 6th!! Arrested yesterday June 22nd. Brian Glenn Bingham was arrested Tuesday on charges including assault of police officers during the Capitol riot, something the FBI says Bingham bragged about on his Facebook page afterward. *** The video shows Bingham first turning to confront and shout at Officer Hussain before squaring up with Officer Agyeman and ultimately attacking Officer Agyeman... At some point during the fight, Bingham scratched Officer Agyeman on the right side of his left eye." *** The report included an exchange of Facebook messages with a person identified as Individual 5: Individual-5: Are you ok? BINGHAM: I got to manhandl[e] 5 cops and live to tell Individual-5: Lol... All of this does not surprise me! Stay safe. The FBI stated that Bingham had posted a video from the riot January 7 on his since-deleted Facebook account, with the following caption: "The door was open and we walked in and didn't break anything, the girl was killed inside door at right at the end of video You decide? Telling people to be peaceful as we walked in, hmm." No residence was provided for Bingham, who was arrested in Alabama Tuesday and had his initial appearance today. www.rawstory.com/manhandle-cops-capitol-rioter/

Geoffrey Sills, a 30-year-old man from Mechanicsville, Va., "threw multiple objects, including pole-like objects, at law enforcement officers" as rioters overwhelmed police on the lower west terrace of the Capitol, according to a US Justice Department press release. According to the government, Sills was among the first group of rioters to enter the tunnel around 2:41 p.m. Surveillance footage reportedly captured him holding up his phone as if he were recording, and activity […] captured in video footage posted to the defendant's Instagram account." The government also alleges that while Sills was inside the tunnel, "he repeatedly struck multiple police officers with an extended baton while using a strobe light, apparently to try to disorient the officers." *** "Hey, everyone with a shield, back up and organize!" Morss yelled to other rioters in the tunnel. "Make a shield wall! Organize right now and make a shield wall. Where are those fucking shields!" www.rawstory.com/geoffrey-sills/

Family affair... Following the church leader/pastor, your dad!! A local news station, WMNF reports that James Cusick, Jr., the founder and pastor of the Global Outreach Church in Melbourne, Florida, was arrested on Thursday for his participation in the deadly January 6th riots. Cusick's son, church vice-president Casey Cusick, was also arrested for taking part in the riots. Update.. arrested, out on ,,, pre trial . Gathered an arsenal, guns/amo pipe bomb, social media threats all since.. Released Capitol rioter who wants to 'play for all the marbles' stockpiled weapons while awaiting trial Thomas Robertson, right, and Jacob Fracker inside the Capitol Federal prosecutors are seeking to revoke the pre-trial release of a former police officer charged in the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, after he purchased 34 guns. Investigators also found a partially assembled pipe bomb at his home. Thomas Robertson, a former police officer in Rocky Mount, Va., was ordered by a judge not to possess guns following his arrest on several charges stemming from the insurrection, including felony disruption of an official proceeding and misdemeanor disorderly conduct in a restricted building. Robertson and another Rocky Mount officer, Jacob Fracker, were fired in the wake of their arrests after they posted photos of themselves inside the Capitol on social media. *** Days after the insurrection, he wrote on Facebook: "The picture of Senators cowering on the floor with genuine fear on their faces is the most American thing I have seen in my life. … The only voice these people will now listen to is VIOLENCE."He added: "CNN and the Left are just mad because we actually attacked the government who is the problem and not some random small business ... The braggers are all great!!! Noah Bacon was arrested Wednesday by the FBI for trespassing in the U.S. Senate chambers on January 6 after taking part in the rioters' effort to force their way past police in the Capitol building. The FBI complaint shows Bacon sitting illegally in the Senate chambers during the riot, wearing an "I Love Trump" T-shirt and a Space Force cap. The FBI alleges that Bacon, while not charged with striking any officers, did play a role in the rioters' violent entry into the Capitol Building: As rioters are trying to enter Capitol, Bacon locates a yellow 'Don't Tread on Me' flag on the floor, picks it up, covers a security camera above the door for approximately 8 seconds and then shoves or attempts to jam the flag into the door frame to force the door open," the complaint states. It also references this statement published by Bacon about U.S. Senators on his Instagram account on the day after the riot: 'The crime of a fraudulent election is complete. 93 to 6. 93 people are going to jail for Seditious Conspiracy and High Treason for certifying a fraudulent election..."Popcorn . . . Justice . . . People in for a surprise.'" The Instagram post did reflect a somewhat different tone than Bacon presents at his website promoting his abilities in yoga instruction: www.rawstory.com/yoga-instructor-arrested-for-his-involvement-in-the-capitol-riot/

Oh yes, he dragged the police office down the steps to help him? Um, really?? On Thursday, CNN reported that friends and family of an accused Capitol rioter are insisting to a federal judge that when he was caught on video dragging a police officer on the ground, he was just trying to "help" the officer. Kentucky resident Clayton Mullins was charged with eight crimes tied to the incident, where an officer was dragged into the crowd and viciously beaten, leading to a tug-of-war between the pro-Trump rioters and other officers who tried to pull their colleague back to safety," reported Marshall Cohen. "Mullins is accused of dragging the officer into the mob and shoving another who was trying to save him. Mullins has pleaded not guilty. His lawyers say he was 'trying to rescue' the officer that he dragged." One friend of Mullins, Illinois State Polis Sergeant Carroll Graham, wrote to the judge, "I have reviewed the video ... from my knowledge and knowing Clayton personally, it appears to me that he is trying to keep the 'MOB' from dragging the officer out of view. I believe if Clayton hadn't held on to the Officer's leg that Officer may not be with us today." Patricia and Bobby Rohrer, Mullins' in-laws, agreed, saying he was "always helping people an[d] that was what he was doing on January 6th ... I pray you will take a close look at this mess. You will see Clayton was helping the man. This is the way he is!" www.rawstory.com/trump-insurrectionist-2653623700/

18th Oath Keep arrested. He was part of the 'stack' and at the meeting before in Arlington VA. He has turned over his weapons and body armour ... David Moerschel, 43, of Punta Gorda, Fla., was charged by criminal complaint Thursday with three counts, including conspiracy and obstructing Congress. Moerschel joined some defendants who prosecutors allege staged in advance at an Arlington hotel, where they say weapons were stored for a 'Quick Reaction Force' site," reported Spencer Hsu. "His arrest makes him at least the 18th alleged Oath Keeper in a group whose members prosecutors have accused of plotting and communicating in advance to breach the Capitol and disrupt Congress that day. *** One Oath Keeper reportedly received immunity in exchange for his cooperation. www.rawstory.com/oath-keepers-stack-formation-insurrection/

Nice guy. Strange though.. Trevor Brown was arrested by the FBI Thursday -- almost six months after he was booked and released without charges -- in connection with the January 6 Capitol riot. Here's what Brown posted on Facebook in the early morning hours of January 7: "This has nothing to do with Trump or Biden. People should be storming that Brothel we call the Capitol everyday for what goes on in there. It's a Brothel and they sell you out everyday. Everyday. And putting any sort of credibility on anything those whores do in the full Congress is just stupidity. And that is the fault of the leadership on both sides. **" 12 hours later, Brown added this Facebook post: "We the people need one more solid rally like this and CONgress will be forced to bow and be thrown out for not representing the will of the people and charged with crimes against humanity. I want to call in for unity with any and all groups." *** The only path to normalcy is over throwing (sic) the dictators," he wrote in another post. "We compiled (sic) with the shutdowns. now its masks, now its vaccines. it won't stop. they are manipulating." www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-trump-2653672167/

New closed circuit videos from the Capitol Jan 6th. As the nation marks six months since the Jan. 6 insurrection, newly released closed-circuit video shows pro-Trump rioters assaulting and shoving aside a Capitol police officer just before they breached the Senate chamber. Erick Flack, an investigative reporter at WUSA 9, noted that one of the rioters shown in the video is Bruno Joseph Cua, then 18, the youngest person to be charged in the insurrection. Cua faces a slew charges, including assault on a federal officer, engaging in physical violence, violent entry or disorderly conduct, and civil disorder. He later boasted on Instagram about storming the Capitol, before writing a letter to the judge in his case, apologizing and begging to be released from jail. www.rawstory.com/new-capitol-riot-footage-2653689835/There is a video inside the Senate chambers here vvvv www.newyorker.com/news/video-dept/a-reporters-footage-from-inside-the-capitol-siege

This explains why some less violent people are still sitting in jail ...court narrows release prospects for Capitol Riot defendants Some not accused of violence on Jan. 6 may still be subject to pretrial detention, the D.C. Circuit says. By JOSH GERSTEIN 07/07/2021 05:25 PM EDT A federal appeals court decision Wednesday could make it more difficult for some of the more than 535 suspects charged in the Capitol Riot to win release from custody while they await trial. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled that even defendants not accused of violence against others or destruction of property could be kept behind bars pending trial because of other indications that they pose a danger to the community. The appeals court’s decision upheld the detention of Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, an Army reservist from New Jersey arrested about a week and a half after the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6. Prosecutors have said Hale-Cusanelli espoused white supremacist views to colleagues and boasted of his role in taking over the Capitol during the planned tabulation of electoral votes. He faces a single felony charge of obstruction of an official proceeding, as well as four misdemeanor charges for entering the Capitol without permission and protesting there. D.C. Circuit Judge Robert Wilkins said there was no clear error by the trial court judge who concluded that Hale-Cusanelli’s past history, his expressed bias against African Americans and Jews, and his use of violent rhetoric in connection with the Jan. 6 events made him unsuitable for release. “It is not obviously wrong to conclude that these statements, taken as a whole, demonstrate a potential danger to the community,” Wilkins wrote in an opinion joined by Judges David Tatel and Neomi Rao. “This is particularly so when viewed with other statements [Hale-Cusanelli] made just prior to January 6, such as proclaiming a ‘final countdown’ and an intention to leave his employment in a ‘blaze of glory.’” The 13-page opinion issued Wednesday may be viewed as a refinement of another ruling Wilkins authored in March that has become the working framework for decisions on pretrial detention for Capitol riot defendants. That decision said a mother and son who entered the Capitol during the fracas but did not engage in violence, Lisa Eisenhart and Eric Munchel, could not be detained pending trial based largely on the risk they might try to repeat their Jan. 6 activities. The pair were later released after prosecutors gave up their effort to hold them. Some lower-court judges have complained that aspects of the earlier decision were difficult to parse. In the new decision, Wilkins stressed that the earlier ruling was intended as a call for an individualized assessment of dangerousness. “The point of Munchel was that everyone who entered the Capitol on January 6 did not necessarily pose the same risk of danger and the preventive detention statute should apply to the January 6 defendants the same as it applies to everyone else, not that the January 6 defendants should get the special treatment of an automatic exemption from detention if they did not commit violence on that particular day,” wrote Wilkins, an appointee of former President Barack Obama. It is unclear how many Capitol riot defendants could be affected by the appeals court’s decision. In the wake of the Munchel ruling, prosecutors seem to have become more discerning when recommending that defendants be detained pending trial. In a few cases, the government has even agreed to the release of individuals accused of clashing with police officers. The vast majority of the more than 535 people arrested have been released to await trial at home. Only a few dozen suspects are being kept in custody. The FBI has indicated it could make hundreds more arrests as tips continue to roll in about individuals depicted in photos and videos taken that day. Former President Donald Trump and some Republican lawmakers have complained that the Capitol riot suspects are being treated too harshly, particularly when compared with participants in riots elsewhere in the country last year during the civil unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd in the custody of Minneapolis police. www.politico.com/news/2021/07/07/capitol-riot-defendants-release-498630

In the videos, Rodriguez was nicknamed "#SuitMacer" by social media users. The video was titled, "#SuitMacer unmasked. He sprayed some kind of pepper spray on many police officers." FBI also referenced a separate interview on Twitter in which Rodriguez is seen boasting, "We made it all the way through." 5 family members have been arrested. abc7.com/us-capitol-riot-texans-arrested-for-texas-family-members-breaching-munn/10885323/WASHINGTON D.C. -- Five members of the same family in Texas have been charged for their alleged participation in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Kristi Munn, Tom Munn, Dawn Munn, Josh Munn and Kayli Munn are now each facing four federal charges over their illegal entry and alleged disorderly conduct in the Capitol, according to a criminal complaint. An investigation revealed multiple videos and social media messages indicating that the five relatives were part of the large "nuclear family" that traveled from Borger, Texas to Washington D.C. and entered the Capitol, according to documents. The investigation tracked the Munn's movements while inside the Capitol using surveillance cameras and open-source social media posts. The FBI indicates they also brought an unidentified minor child into the building with them that is not being charged along with them. They are now the biggest family to be charged, so far.

Not arrested yet!!! 'Most Wanted' Capitol rioter is still on the run after video reveals his physical and profane verbal attacks against police Ray Hartmann July 14, 2021 Evan Neumann was charged by the FBI Tuesday for assaulting police officers on January 6 during the Capitol riot. His case is a rarity: Details of the charges were released despite the fact that Neumann remains at large. Neumann, 48, of Mill Valley, CA continues to occupy a spot on the FBI's Most Wanted list. He was captured on police bodycams at the riot wearing a MAGA hat and gas mask and launching both physical and profane verbal attacks against police, the FBI says. Details of his violent action and profane tirade against police were released by the bureau just three days after Donald Trump ranted that there was "a lovefest" between Capitol Police and the insurrectionists and that the rioters were "tremendous." Neumann had a strange way of demonstrating his love. Here's how the FBI describes his assault on an officer identified as "J.M" outside the Capitol. www.rawstory.com/evan-neumann/

Found another one... A former Drug Enforcement Administration agent has been arrested for taking part in the January 6th Capitol riots -- and for allegeldy lying to an FBI agent about his actions there. *** During an interview with the FBI agent after the riots, Ibrahim admitted to being at the Capitol building during the attack, but denied that he had displayed his DEA badge and firearm. Unfortunately for him, the FBI had obtained photographs of Ibrahim at the Capitol doing exactly that. Additionally, Ibrahim falsely told the agent that he only went to the riot at the behest of his friend, whom he says was asked by the FBI to "monitor" the event. The agent interviewed Ibrahim's friend, however, and learned that the former DEA agent "crafted this story about how his friend was at the Capitol to assist the FBI" in an attempt to "cover his ass." The friend also told the agent that Ibrahim "had been thinking about his next move after leaving the DEA and wanted the protests to be his stage for launching a 'Liberty Tavern' political podcast and cigar brand." www.rawstory.com/capitol-rioter-indicted-2653869186/

Love it! "2 violations of local and federal law, including scores of individuals inside the U.S. Capitol building without authority to be there. Following the events at the U.S. Capitol, the FBI received an electronic tip concerning Glenn Brooks’s (“BROOKS”) potential involvement in breaching the Capitol. Witness #1: On or about January 30, 2021, the FBI received an electronic tip from Witness #1, who stated that a member of his/her church prayer text group, Glenn BROOKS, boasted of his active participation in the January 6, 2021, events at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Witness #1 also stated that BROOKS sent photos of his attendance at the Capitol to the church text group that included other people at the riots/protest and a selfie photo of himself inside the Capitol. On February 9, 2021, the FBI conducted a follow-up interview with Witness #1, who confirmed that he/she previously completed an online complaint identifying Glenn BROOKS as an individual who was inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. Witness #1 provided BROOKS’ address, phone number, and email address that was later corroborated by FBI. Witness #1 stated that approximately two years earlier, BROOKS had grown a white beard. Witness #1 sent a photograph to the FBI of BROOKS with a white beard (below left) and stated that the person in the selfie photograph inside the U.S. Capitol (below right) is BROOKS.
