I’m using the app. Started two weeks ago. It is helping me stay accountable. I have lost in the past with them and have a lot to lose , at least 50.

I started mid January last year and have lost 63#. I like the blue plan. For zero point foods like beans I stay with the recommended portion and size and watch how many I have of say fruits etc. I don’t eat much in the way of unrefined carbs and no fake food. I don’t find myself hungry on this plan. One evening I did feel that way and had a slice of turkey breast and an apple and I was good. I do exercise not just to lose but to avoid diabetes as I’m pre-diabetic. My number dropped to the lowest in that range last September. A year ago it wore me out to walk a mile. I did a five mile hike the other day and was not worn out.

I joined WW in February 2019 and by mid 2020 lost 60 (my goal) and went to Lifetime status. Between COVID and the tragic loss of my future son in law 6 months ago it has been tough on maintenance. I have gained 10 pounds back. I have not rejoined WW (let my subscription lapse during the shut down of the studios) but am contemplating rejoining soon. I did get back on track after Christmas on my own - eating the way WW taught me (that is key) and resuming my walking, elliptical and I added Yoga. I've dropped 2 lbs so I feel I can get back down to my goal weight within the next couple of months. I felt WW was fabulous - it taught me how to eat better and motivated me to move more. I still enjoy the foods I enjoyed before - just smaller portions and not as often. I learned to love so many new foods - fruits & veggies! I learned that I didn't have to kill myself exercising - I just started walking! My daughter (that lost her fiance') has turned to food to drown the pain - I am hoping to get her to rejoin WW with me. We joined together originally as she wanted to lose weight for her wedding day. Wanted to agree on Evie's point about "you have to eat to lose weight" - I thought that was crazy and prior NEVER at breakfast. I do NOT miss breakfast now - it kicks starts your metabolism for the day and starts burning those calories! I was always on the Blue Plan. I also had my FitBit synched and used the points for great free stuff. I never had to use the activity points for food. I would use my weekly points most times weeks. I am so sorry for your loss, I hope you and your daughter are on the road to healing soon.

Thanks, everyone. I did sign up today. I have logged my breakfast and lunch. I need to figure out what the low point foods are and make a grocery list. I also want to figure out how many points some of my favorite meals and snacks are and see if I will need to replace them. I also want to check if the activity from the Peloton app/my apple watch is going into the WW app. How’s it going so far, Kristin? 😀

elaine it is going pretty well! I have been busy watching youtube videos about WW and trying to figure out what foods to eat and buy, checking the points value of my recipes and foods that I already have, etc. I've been logging all weekend and stayed within my points with no problems. Yesterday the boys wanted donuts. It was eye opening to see that one long john would have taken up almost half of my daily points. I am wondering if people generally eat back any fit points? I think right now I will plan to use a few if I feel really hungry, but otherwise I will just leave them. I am also a little nervous about the extra weekly points. Sounds like some people use them all in one day but I still worry that doing that would lead to a gain for me. Do most people use them all each week? One "recipe" that I have come across several times is 2 ingredient dough. It uses 1C yogurt and 1c self-rising flour. Has anyone tried this? I have seen people use it to make some yummy looking things in the air fryer.

I like earning them to motivate me, but other than that, I leave them be. I usually do not eat all my weekly extra points. I will dip into them one day per week for a treat like pizza or wings (wings are insanely high in points) or a donut, but I don’t usually use more than 10-15 in one week. Some weeks I don’t use any of them, but I like being able to have an “off-day” and not feel guilty about it or as if I fallen off the plan.

elaine thanks. One of the people that I found on YouTube said that she has a free day every Saturday. I could see how that might be motivating (say no to things throughout the week and tell yourself you can have it on Saturday if you want) but I don't think I would do well with a totally free day.

One "recipe" that I have come across several times is 2 ingredient dough. It uses 1C yogurt and 1c self-rising flour. Has anyone tried this? I have seen people use it to make some yummy looking things in the air fryer. LOVE this recipe. I make pizza at least once a week for my husband and I. 1 cup to 1 cup makes enough dough for 2 single (dinner plate sized) pizzas. I just used jarred Prego pizza sauce (you can find lower point options), shredded mozz & crumbled feta, turkey pepperoni & fresh baby spinach YUM I prebake my crust (once I have it spread out on the pan) for a few minutes at 425. Then add toppings and finish baking until cheese is melted and crust has slightly browned - also at 425 I find that I like this crust better than any other I have tried or even the premade crusts. I only use the 0% FAGE Greek yogurt with self rising flour. It is stickier than your average pizza dough but once you get the hang of it your crusts look prettier. I also have made bagels a time or two with the same recipe - again it takes a little practice with the stickier dough. I used the "everything bagel seasoning" that WalMart carries but I know there are several different options and brands you can try. I just baked mine in my convection oven at 425

Does anyone know roughly how many points a 45 year old man who weighs about 250lbs would get?
