I saw AussieMeg mention it on another thread and just curious if anyone is still doing it. There used to be a small group of us who were consistent and shared. I think kiwi ? (Username with kiwi in it) is the one who originally shared and it is absolutely my favorite thing I’ve ever learned about here. Just finished my 6th year and still going strong. For Xmas my husband bought a frame from infiniteobjects.com and my 2019 year plays on an endless loop and I love it. Anyway just seeing who has stuck with it.

Me too!!! finaledition I loved watching your videos when we all used to post our 1SE. I haven't done it for a couple of years, but I am going to do it again this year. One day I will get around to putting something together for the last two years, but it will be a mix of videos and photos because I didn't take many videos.

I've been doing it since January 1, 2016 and I love it so much. The ability to add more than one video / day has been really nice, too.

I did it a few years ago but then life got crazy and I stopped - there was just so much. I decided to start again for 2021. I missed the little glimpses of life.

I thought this year was going to be very repetitive because we were home, but because my whole family has been home I’ve had more options for variety and more videos during the daytime when the light is better.
I did incorporate world events into it so I think overall it will be one of my more favorite 1SEs or at the very least, the most interesting.

AussieMeg I remember you did yours without the app which for me means that it would never get done. But it was great to have the longer clips. Even though now I can do up to 10 seconds I tend to stick with nothing longer than 2 seconds. But hope you do start up again!

Even though now I can do up to 10 seconds I tend to stick with nothing longer than 2 seconds. But hope you do start up again! Oh wow, so the app lets you do up to 10 seconds? Hmmm maybe I should actually start using the app. The main reasons that I didn't use the app was 1) I wanted to do two seconds instead of one second, and 2) I was using too many different devices to take videos (phone, video camera, DSLR, waterproof camera) so I couldn't use the app. Now that I have my 12 Pro Max, I will pretty much be using my phone all the time. I'm down at the beach for a week and I didn't even bring my DSLR (or any camera) for the first time ever.

I had stopped as well. Once I started working nights again it got harder, because I can't really film anything at work due to privacy and then I go home and sleep...and because my work day is 10hrs long, I don't do anything before or after work. Therefore for 4 days each week there really isn't much to film (and 4 days a week of cats is too much even for me!). Maybe I'll look at the app again and just do the non work days.

Oh wow, so the app lets you do up to 10 seconds? I just went to open my old app and I was prompted to download the new version. Now they have a standard version and a "pro" version, the standard version is like it always was, 1 or 1.5 seconds in the app, it's in the pro version that you can have 2 videos per day and up to 10 sec each, plus a few other extra features, BUT the pro version is $76/year! That's a bit too much for my liking.

That's a bit too much for my liking. Oh right. Forget that. And anyway, I just remembered reason #3 why I didn't use the app - I want the flexibility to be able to do 4 videos on one day and none on others if I so desire. It would be a lot easier and quicker to use the app, though.

It would be a lot easier and quicker to use the app, though. I think it's definitely easier to get motivated to keep up in the app, rather than using separate video editing software. I wonder why they made it so expensive though? That's along the lines of annual subscriptions for proper video editing software, and this doesn't have nearly all of those features, $20-30 and I probably would have bought but not $76 every year.

I was just billed from apple for my 1SE subscription and I paid $29.99. I would normally cringe at that price, but this app has become quite meaningful to me. And if I ever felt like I needed to justify the expense, my renewal is always the first of the year, so I’ll take that as an Xmas present any day. Obviously I know it’s something I’ll use, but if I didn’t I’d be thinking twice about the price.

I love my 1SE videos! This will be my third year doing it. I have the pro version and it was only $29.99 for me.

2020 was my first year and I loved it! I posted mine on Instagram. Jackie's ISEThanks for sharing Jackie, I enjoyed watching it. Love that Outlander made a few appearances and it looks like you follow one of my favorite instagrammers-Carlos Whittaker. Have fun this year, I think it gets easier each year.

Thanks for sharing Jackietex!
I started 2020 - and then, well you know... But as I started putting together this years - the app still indicates which days have pictures or videos - so I put 2020 together with many missing days - but I still love it. I got a puppy at the start of covid - so its great to see him grow up. I love this app and think its worth the subscription cost ($40 Canadian).

This is my first year using this app. Should I use photos and videos in portrait or landscape mode? I usually do landscape to fill the screen, but wanted to double check. Thanks.
