Wonder what his base of maga idiots are saying about this video??? The handful of die hard (but not out rioting as far as I know) Trump supporters on my Facebook feed still think Hillary and Obama are going to jail, “the truth will come out and heads will roll,” and Trump will be inaugurated for his second term next week. I’m truly fearful for their mental health and (behavior of some) as they have no grasp on the reality of the facts because they’ve been brainwashed by Fox, Breitbart, Newsmax, OAN and their evangelical teachings.

I watched for 42 seconds but then turned it off. His voice gives me anxiety and the stupid way he holds his lips when he talks makes me want to punch something. Mostly him.

elaine what is the atmosphere like around DC? I interested in what the people who live there think of this Trump crap. In my part of the MetroDC area, people are incredibly upset and more than a little disturbed that this is happening so close to us. Our county is extremely blue and ethnically diverse, so the White Supremacy of Trump supporters is disturbing to most of the community. At our cul-de-sac block parties, for example, there is only one supporter who doesn’t say much when conversation turns to politics and it is never pro-Trump. In our house, and for most of my friends, we have had the news on pretty much non-stop since the 6th. When I see the neighbors at the mailbox or while dog walking, we usually make some comments about the events of the day related to the election, the electoral college, the certification of the votes, the insurrection, the impeachment, etc. This is our local news. On the 6th, I had doctors appointments at Walter Reed, and Dh was worried about me driving that close to the city. It is always disturbing when these rallies are going on to see the trucks with flags flying from their beds on the freeways into town. DC’s mayor came on our local news on Sunday or Monday night (I can’t remember which because we always watch the local news during dinner) and begged that locals stay out of downtown, because they feared violence. Which made those of us who live here want to know why they were so unprepared - this is one of the only times I remember the mayor telling us to stay away in the 17 years we’ve lived here, so the violence wasn’t a total surprise. I think that many people in the area want to know why there wasn’t enough of a police/National Guard presence to secure the Capitol.
