Is anyone going to the one in San Jose this weekend? Or have you been to one in another city? I'm going this weekend and I am very excited. If you have gone, any tips? What can I expect?

I just attended this past weekend in Seattle! It was fantastic. Liz Gilbert and Oprah were the best in my opinion. Iyanla's piece was much more subdued than I was expecting. I wanted her all jacked up yelling "save yo-self!" The workbook is beautiful. My tip is to download the ap before you go. It also has a One Note ap that if you don't have One Note already downloaded, you'll need to do it. Do that before you go too Pre-order the lunch if you can. We didn't and wished we had. Enjoy! It's the last stop so they'll be extra pumped I think. O Town is cool but not awesome. Lots of freebies, etc. Gayle is there and people were all into that.

My boss must have been there with Molove, she had a great time. She was also impressed with Elizabeth Gilbert the most.

Well, for one--I don't feel "psychologically broken and unaware" There are many self help series that may or may not be better. I'm an Oprah fan. Always have been so clearly, this appealed to me. Even bigger Liz Gilbert fan. They are not everyone's cup of tea. This event was structured around many things--quests, spirituality, forgiveness, humor. It was 10,000 women (and a few men)there to hear some great speakers and participate in a really uplifting weekend. The takeaway was very individual.

A friend of mine attended the Seattle event, with her husband. She LOVED the experience, and so did he.

I had a good friend attend she went last year to the weekend I just did with Patti Digh. She said that both were amazing... she preferred the connection of being with 100 women at Patti Digh's camp then the 1000's at Oprahs!
Over all the messages were similar...

I was at the Seattle event too ... And it was amazing. I agree with June, Elizabeth Gilbert was super inspirational. (And no TelePrompter - such a badass!) I love taking notes and nearly filled half a Moleskine with the bits. Have a wonderful time!

Is it going to be at Asilomar? The food there is terrible! Ha! I went to a leadership conference there in high school and loved the location, the room, the bonfires, but, my goodness, the food, ugh. I was at the Seattle Center when this let out last weekend, and, while I know nothing about the event (and snooped in here to see if people were explaining it) can report that the folks exiting looked very happy and pleased.

I'm not going but it's at the SAP Center in San Jose - Where the Sharks play hockey. Asilomar is in Pacific Grove near Monterey.

Just got back! Loved it. All of the speakers were fantastic, but I think Rob Bell was my favorite, which was a surprise. We met Adam Glassman, Chef Art Smith, Bob Greene and Gayle. We had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone (if they have it again). Thanks to everyone for the tips.
