**Update 1/19** - I took one of our bricks and cooked it in the instant pot for soup last night. Turned out perfect. Thank you for the reccomendation!
I have several lbs of ground beef in my deep freeze I need to start turning into dinner.
We purchased a quarter cow from the butcher over the summer. He carefully parceled everything out, then we put it in our deep freeze (which remains the single greatest purchase of 2020 since it was made in February before all he!! broke loose and everyone started buying them up). We also have a food saver which really does work wonders. The other cuts of meat have been great, I have a roast in the crock pot today as it's snowing outside and my house smells wonderful and warm on a snowy day.
Because it's in the deep freeze everything is rock solid. Our solution has been to meal plan for the week on Sunday night, pull what we need from the big freezer. By the time I'm ready to cook it it's at least thawed enough to work with during the week.
The ground beef however has proven to be an issue. I'm picky about GB to begin with, adding to this, by the time it defrosts the blood in the meat has turned black along with the meat itself turning brown. I refuse to cook with it in this state and it's now become a thing between DH and I.
So, I need to be able to cook it from frozen which means crock pot and I need to be able to disguise the taste of the freezer which means my normal plain food loving family is going to revolt.
any ideas?

All the slow cooker ground beef recipes I know of start with browning the ground beef before adding it to the pot, so you would need to thaw first. I would also research the food safety element of starting with frozen meat in a crock pot.

An instant pot is great for cooking frozen ground beef. I usually put it in frozen, cook for 20-25 min, drain and sauté for tacos, spaghetti, etc.

We use an instant pot as well or we pull the day of and defrost in the microwave. I have a thing about meat thawing in the fridge though. I will allow it for a day but after that I am grossed out over it.

I thaw my frozen ground beef (we bought 1/4 cow, too) by putting the wrapped package in a ziplocked bag and putting it in a sink of cold water. It takes a few hours to thaw out that way.

I've never used frozen meat in the crockpot, but I have made chili in there many times. Comes out great.

We make the Best of Bridge Hamburger soup. When I make it in my crockpot we put less liquids in the pot. The soup freezes well.

I do the same and it is so handy. But depending on how your ground beef has been packaged it make take longer. We get 1.5# bricks (although thinner than an actual brick, but rectangular so that is my best description) and it takes me 55 minutes for them to be cooked through. I usually do 2 at a time and refreeze one of them for quick meals. I cook mine on the grate with 1 cup of water below and the grease drains right off. Just press with a paper towel and it is good to go.

Meatball subs.
Defrost it and have your husband form little meatballs (that way you don't have to see or touch it) and cook them in oven or instant pot. Then put them in a crockpot with whatever sauce you like, and serve with sub sandwich rolls and cheese.

Have it thaw slightly and the toss it in the skillet still partially frozen and you can scrape it as you cook it.
Can your dh cook the gb instead of you?
ETA: I would never cook ground beef from frozen in the crockpot

I cooked one of our squares in the IP Mid-afternoon for inclusion in soup for dinner that night. Worked like a charm and the meat tasted good (a huge win for me as I'm super picky about GB). Thank you to whomever suggested cooking It from frozen this way, it really solved a problem for me.
