Yes, this! Many who invaded the Capitol were actually upper to middle class! Entrepreneurs, real estate agents, occupational therapists, retired military, LEO, fire fighters and others. Hardly the forgotten men who have been “left behind!” My husband and I were just talking about this yesterday - they are not economically left behind, but they do feel that their stature among their peers, their families and the country is threatened. They don't think there are enough slices of pie for everyone - and don't want to share the top of the totem pole. They are threatened and frightened by things like changes in pronouns and gender, me too movements and by marginalized groups demanding a place at the table. Somehow they believe Trump can stop all of this stuff - even though he didn't for his four years in office! Yes, yes, yes. And when I talk about the White Supremacist groups preying on the disenfranchised, this is what I meant. They are NOT disenfranchised in the same way as POC or women in our society - who suffer a genuine lack of power in our society, but they feel/think/believe that they ARE losing their power. The Trump supporters believe that as society changes that they are being disenfranchised and this is why they have flocked to these conspiracy groups that promise to return the societal power that they feel they have lost - even though in reality they still have way more power than the marginalized groups that they fear. Simply telling at them that they are privileged (reality) doesn’t have any impact because they subscribe to the mindset that science and objective facts aren’t the truth, but that what they feel/believe is the truth. This is how it became so easy to recruit and brainwash them. eta: Representative Sheila Jackson Lee is talking on CNN right now about the mob as being made up of people feeling disenfranchised. |

Wow. Delusional doesn’t even touch that level of insanity. I know, it's hard to believe that anyone can think like this when all the facts are telling the opposite story. He was right about one thing "the whole world is watching" but the MAJORITY of the rest of the world are watching because they a hoping/praying that Trumps continues to LOSE. |

Lindell is a total loon. I’m embarrassed that he’s from my state. Apparently he donated $50K to a fund that helped defend that POS Kyle Rittenhouse. That alone should tell you what kind of “Christian” he is. Do they talk about his background? He was a crack-addict and had a bit of a rap sheet. He supposedly went back to crack (I think he never stopped--he's all hyper and seems to be drugged), and his company isn't doing as well as he claims. What do they say there?? |

I started a thread about black business to support and my sense is no one did*. Now is a great time to start. Begin with your consumables. Spices, TP, laundry detergent etc then your household services. A lot of those small business owners are incredibly racist and can’t hide it in traditional employment situations so they’ve flocked to those professions. *namely the Spice Suite. Her stuff is so amazing if anyone had purchased they would be raving about it. I leave room for me being absolute wrong. If your bought Black during the holidays thanks a bunch. , love everything I see on the Spice Suite website. A couple problems though. While I understand the thought behind only offering their collections and boxes online, they are all over $100 and that is a real stretch for many. I see that things are available individually in person, some of us are not going into any store in person right now. I could always call and ask if paying ahead and doing a curbside pickup is available, but I would have no way to know what items were a possibility. The other issue is insurance for shipping is limited to $50, and there is no option to pay for additional, and they only offer USPS. So at least half your purchase is a total risk when it comes to shipping. Perhaps when covid is under control, I can stop in the shop and get something. It looks beautiful, just out of my comfort range for now. I have found nearly all small business owners to be lovely people, so haven't gone out of my way to patronize Black owned ones. Sure, a few are real pieces of work, but I have kept a list of local places who were displaying MAGA banners, so I can remember who they were in the future once they work to blend in. Regarding the Spice Suite boxes...Understandable. And to be a bit more clear I meant a lot of racist people have flocked to service related small business because they couldn’t mask their racism in a traditional work environment. I was thinking of lawn care, tree guys, pest control etc not brick and mortar small business. I say this because in the area my sister lives they will come to the job site confederate flags flying and then be pissed when they find the household is Black. |

Not that I am a believer any longer but if the Pillow Guy says, "Let it be God's will". Then hopefully after the inauguration they will come to grips that it is God's will for Biden to be the next president, not our TWO TIMES impeached president.

@zingermack A friend told me that Kohl's also dropped my pillow guy. Have you all seen this company on twitter? They sent pillows to the national guard sleeping on the floor. You just have to scroll through their feed. Trust me! One Fresh Pillow
