It's been several years now since I've subscribed, but I've been a subscriber of lots of them over the years. I'd say most of them are no longer in business anymore. Every time I get the urge to sign up I remind myself of why it's not a good idea. Yes I love the thrill of getting that box every month and having new goodies, but really I have too many supplies as it is and really don't need to spend more money on stuff that I don't use. So instead I will buy an Elle's Studio kit very randomly if I just absolutely love it. I don't keep an eye out on what other kit clubs are offering these days.

I am in Canada. I have a love/hate relationship with sb kits. Well, maybe a love/bored relationship. I receive my ScrapFan kits in bundles of two months at a time. I love that she bases her kits on lines I don't normally get elsewhere, and she usually includes some fun items, like bits of burlap or a stencil, or a sample of some wet media, so I get to play with new interesting stuff. But the thing about getting a selection of stuff I don't buy for myself is that some kits are kind of blah for me, or beautiful but overwhelming, so they don't get alot of use. Also, hers is a very small store, so she does not get the latest and greatest products as early as the bigger ones do, so her kits don't always arrive on time. Our LSS Ladybug Scrapbook began offering kits about a year ago. Theirs is not a subscription. They post the kit & ask if you want to pre order. I like that better b/c I can see if its something I will probably use.

I've subscribed to Club Echo Park since it started and like each kit so far. I used one kit for my Christmas cards this year. I can't wait to get the January kit because of all the blues in it!

Right now I only subscribe to Elle’s Studio. I like the kit and the subscriber perks, so I’ve kept that one.
You might be interested in checking out the counterfeit kit challenge - each month they pick a kit to copy, but with stuff from your stash. That way, you get the sense of a new kit, but can use what you already have. 😃

I subscribe to Elle's Studio and Paper Person. I have always been very happy with Elle's Studio, the price of the kits, the quick shipping (I already got my kit for this month!) and the selection of add-ons. The colors of her kits are the colors I gravitate to so that helps as well. 100% recommend to everyone who will listen. LOL
Paper Person - so far I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love a lot of the kits, the designs, the stamps, etc but I absolutely HATE that it takes them forever to package and ship and I'm not always 100% happy with the colors of the kit. I'm hopeful they'll get into a better groove with shipping and I'm also hopeful they're drop all the odd colors that are hard to match they seem to be using lately. 60% recommend right now.
I buy one off's from Feed Your Craft, I don't buy every month. I usually buy when In a Creative Bubble designs the kit. 80% recommend
I stopped buying from Studio Calico and Ali Edwards. Studio Calico takes way too long to ship, their designs and color choices aren't always my favorites and their customer service is very hit or miss. With Ali, I like her approach to scrapbooking and her philosophy behind getting the story down but I just don't like her handwritten elements. 50% recommend, if you can get these kits and such during their sales promos you can get a really good deal.

I have AE SBTM and Elle's Studio as my subs, though I'm STILL trying to convince myself to buy this month's Hip Kit (the PURPLE!!!). I don't 'need' a reason to buy stuff, but I do know my space limitations (I'm over capacity but can fit things here and there with some creativity) and don't go too crazy with my shopping these days. My Elle's Studio stash is growing at a rate that is far exceeding my ability to use it but that doesn't stop me from never missing a kit.

I was a subscriber to Hip Kit Club, but quit only because I had too much stuff. I will be re-subbing soon though. Their customer service is really good, I like the variety of kits they offer (main, mixed media, cardstock, etc.), and their designs/curated picks just seem to fit my style.
I'm coming to the end of my Ali Edwards subscriptions (Story Kit and Stories by the Month). I will keep the Stories of the Month because I feel like the price point is good and I use up those kits. I plan on dropping the Story Kit because I have discovered I am much more of a chronological memory-keeper rather than a "storyteller", so the kits pile up until I get to pictures that would work for the themes. I love how other people use her kits, but those just aren't for me.
I am currently subscribed to Paper Person, but will probably drop that one when my commitment is over. I just found it's really not my style, and as mentioned above the shipping and packaging is super slow. I do like the stamps and for the price I'm paying for the kit with the papers and alphas included, I feel like its been worth it - but I'm 95% sure I will drop it.
I am also currently subbed to the Cocoa Daisy Traveler's Notebook Memory-Keeping Kit and the pocket cards as a separate add-on, for my Project Life album. I love their designs and the quality of their products.

HKC has great customer service, free cut files, a beautiful esthetic with each kit and a ton of videos on You Tube from their design team. I have a backlog of kits, though, and found myself buying entire collections I loved in addition to my kit subscription. That started adding up fast. I will get through the kits I have on hand and resubscribe down the road. I plan on just buying collections I love for now- usually Pink Fresh.

I love their designs and the quality of their products. The story kits I've gotten on sale have mostly just sat. The last sale I ordered from I actually MADE myself (it was hard) pick things based on the usability of the content rather than my draw to the colors. I haven't been scrapping a ton because my craft room is under my boys' room and my oldest in particular jumps and bangs around a lot and the thumping triggers my anxiety...with everyone being home for the last 10 months, there is little time where I can be in my craft room without the thumping so I've set up a diamond painting space in our master bedroom and have been doing that mainly, so I haven't dove into the kits but themes like family, love, gratitude, changes, etc are all 'generic' enough that they are usable with my method of scrapbooking. The whole being a storyteller based on themes isn't who I am either and even if I found $20 a month for a single 4x6 stamp set (I don't consider the class content value added, personally), I wouldn't be able to use the content. I love the SBTM kits because they're the Ali aesthetic without the difficulty of use, although I really miss them at $9.99 (knew it was a deal and that a price increase was gonna happen eventually) and wish she'd offer an alpha sticker or some embellishment other than wood veneer (but please not acrylic, either) because I don't use it...never really did...just collected it when it was popular.

amom23, are you a scrapper? I am also currently subbed to the Cocoa Daisy Traveler's Notebook Memory-Keeping Kit and the pocket cards as a separate add-on, for my Project Life album. I love their designs and the quality of their products. I also sub to Cocoa Daisy-- I started with the planner kit, thinking I might give that a try and that I'd be able to use some stuff in cardmaking. Everything they have is beautiful, but I have a really hard time incorporating any of it into may cardmaking. (Except enamel dots. I love those. And pens. But those aren't for crafting.) One of these days, I will force myself to try using some of it. I think my problem is that things like the memory cards are really, really more geared to memory keeping... great if you are a scrapper, not so much if you are a card maker. When I was actively scrapping, my favorite kit was The ScrapRoom because they give you product from four paper lines, which was best for me and how I scrapped. I would never sit down and think "yes, I should use the whole Doodlebug summer line for these vacation pictures." I would just match each picture to appropriate paper, and it was almost always from different brands. I'm pleased to see they are still in business-- I went to my first ever travel-out-of-state-stay-at-a-hotel-crop because of them, so I will always have a soft spot for them. For cardmakers: CTMH has a sub kit... pretty basic IMO but the current kit is lovely and I think it would be great for beginners and for something to take traveling. SU has the paper pumpkin kit, although that's not always cards. Both companies also have card kits in their catalogs. Spellbinders has a monthly kit, although I don't like the card kit enough to subscribe monthly, I just buy kits on clearance. I did, however, sign up for their stamp of the month club. It's $10 for a 4x6 clear stamp set. I loved the first set, haven't loved the others, but at $10, I don't feel like it's a super waste if I don't love the stamps.

Over the past 2 years I have subbed to the following off and on:
AE Story Kit and SBTM kits - I generally over her colors and designs but I just do not use them. Her phrases are odd, difficult for me to use and I’m over her handwriting.
Cocoa Daisy - lovely designs, but not my style. The 2 months I got this kit were some of my least favorite ever. Go figure. Ordering process was/is overly complicated.
Elle’s studio - super affordable, same colors used month to month if that is important to you. Too cutesy for me.
Paper Person (subbed when Kelly Purkey) - my favorite designer to support, she is fabulous. I didn’t love the cut apart of the new kits. Her themes are fantastic for me but her colors are impossible to work with. I buy once in awhile now.
Studio Calico - just finished a full year with them and and resubbed for a another full year. They are consistently the most useable kits for me. I love the colors, themes and chipboard. Great mix of card styles. And we rarely get cork (I hate cork). I do wish they’d get rid of washi.
I only sum to kits where items are exclusives and designed just for them. Good luck and have fun!

I sub to Hip Kit Club and have being doing it for about a year now. I like that the kits fluctuate month-to-month between exclusive products only, to pulling from current releases from other manufacturers. I think it keeps the kits feeling fresh.
I also sub to SCT Sampler from Scrapbook & Cards Today. They are more of a sampler of current products from multiple companies, rather than a traditional kit and only $14/month to US or Canada. I've been getting this one since they started (3 years, I think) and don't see myself ever not being a subscriber. Highly recommend this one.

I'm definitely doing too many right now, but whenever I switch to month-to-month, I get irritated when I buy more than one at a higher price so I re-up. HAHA.
Ali Edwards SBTM: This is my favorite and most used. GOOD: Colors, consistency of colors by month year over year, high quality, and Ali's handwriting. (I know many of you don't like her handwriting, but I don't like the random mix of fonts in the recent kits, haha.) LESS GOOD: It's a bit pricey for what you get, and I often don't know what to do with some of the phrases and quotes. I wish there were more simple patterned elements and more variety in add-on choices.
Elle's Studio: This is a great kit, but I don't get the "wow" factor from my pocket pages like I do with Ali's stuff. It's more understated. GOOD: Price point, quick shipping, simplicity of the designs and phrases, and good variety of add-ons. LESS GOOD: I wish there was one or two more 4x6-size journal cards, and I wish I didn't have to cut apart the label sheets.
Studio Calico Color Theory: I'd recommend this to anyone as a basics-builder. I use the stuff all the time with other kits. GOOD: So many great basics in a rainbow of colors, from label stickers to chipboard shapes. LESS GOOD: When it misses the mark, it really misses the mark. What were those cream-colored wavy-edge labels!?
Ali Edwards Story Kit: I have a complicated relationship with this one. I'm a chronological scrapbooker who WANTS to be better at storytelling, haha. GOOD: High quality, interesting embellishments, and unique approach. LESS GOOD: It's quite hit or miss depending on the theme. Some resonate and some do not at all. That makes it hard to subscribe over long periods. I really disliked the chunky acrylic words, so I'm glad those have been changed in 2021.

I purchased the Felicity Jane September kit last year and loved every bit of it. After perusing the past kits I found I love her style, so I subscribed. It's the only kit I sub to at this time, and I'm very happy with it.

I have sub to many or tried many clubs over the years. The problem for me is the cost. Not only does it cost Canadians more plus shipping it’s the duty that kills me. It makes no rhyme or reason . It can be anywhere from $12- to $40.00. That’s a lot of money if the kit contains stuff you will not use. Having said that, there is a rather new kit out that I like but they don’t ship to Canada. It is called, Not Your Boys Kit. Check it out!

Thanks for starting this thread. I have never subscribed to any kit, but now I’m tempted. 😬 I like that the Club Echo Park kit looks as though it would work well for both scrapbooking and cards. And wow to Felicity Jane, which I never even heard of; it looks like a very good fit to my aesthetic.

I used to subscribe to The Secret Not Secret Kit Club. Since that sub stopped, I took a few months to look at a variety of kit. January will be my third Hip Kit. I am loving so much about it. The quality is wonderful and the variety is nice too. The only drawback I’ve found is how their paper is printed. If you put something down and then try to reposition, the color comes off the paper. You need to be sure when you glue down! That said, I still love it. I’ve really enjoyed the paper patterns in the November and December kits - so much so that I want to order the extra paper for the kit. I need to keep reminding myself that I haven’t used up my November and December paper yet. I think the number of sheets is a good amount. January’s rainbow paper. OMG. I have the perfect photo of Cici for it and the purple in the kit is my favorite shade. It should be here tomorrow.

I subbed for a few months to the Not Just For Boys kit club. Each month there were 3-4 papers from the same manufacturer that I just won’t use and found I need to supplement with my own. Taking a break and waiting till some kits are made without those papers.

I am currently only subbed to Elles Studio. For me I like how the supplies coordinate easily, if I forgo the add ons it’s very affordable (it’s hard for me to do!). I also am switching over to a more PL style so this fits well at the moment. Though he DT does a good job of using it for PL and traditional.
I used to sub to Hip Kit which had great CS as I enjoyed the product. I ended up cancelling since they were piling up. I was using enough or quick enough and I found a it wasn’t my style. At the beginning I liked the challenge and really liked the exclusives but it wasn’t enough to keep me on. I also ended up with doubles a lot of the time between their kits and my shopping. So I decided I’d rather shop just for my interests and not look at it as missing out on the exclusives.

I subscribe to Felicity Jane. I absolutely love the papers. They are 100% me and I normally pick up an extra paper pack. That said, I don't really like her embellishments. I never use all of them. I am actually debating canceling my FJ sub and just picking up the paper monthly.
I subbed to SC last year and got their DK. I liked it enough. I never use the stamps though. SC really is hit or miss for me though. Their CS SUCKS big time - so just know that going in. I miss the SC 12x12 kit. It was my favorite but they quit selling it.
I have also subbed to AE Story Kits last year and while there were a few I loved the colors and themes, the upcoming months weren't anything I just have to have. I am currently still getting SBTM kit.For the price, its good and I find myself using the kit for my PL. IMHO, its much more useable than SC has been and its cheaper. I will probably carry this sub for the entire year. In previous years I have subbed to Cocoa Daisy and Hip Kit. I dropped CD when they became more of a planner community. And Hip Kit was too pastel for me. I found I NEVER used that kit because of the colors.

Like sam9 , I've never subscribed to or purchased a kit curated by a LSS or kit club, since they often are themed & contain too many elements that I'll never use. I prefer to handpick my supplies. However, I always peek at the current Club EP kit every time it's mentioned in threads here. It appears the club kit model is products from an existing line from EP or CB, plus an exclusive. For example, the January 2021 kit (as linked upthread by MDscrapaholic ) & add ons (ie Solids, warm winter wishes stamp set, & cozy snowflake trio dies) are from the CB Winter Market collection that was released in September (ETA: discussed here & some products are still available at SB.com & ACOT) with an exclusive stamp set (the only item from the current kit that you cannot buy elsewhere). HTH.

I've done Felicity Jane and loved the papers but after a year it got to be too repetitive for me. I have thought about subbing again but haven't. The kits are really lovely. I did AE's story by the month but all the handwriting and the same phrases started to annoy me. I miss the chipboard though. I did Clique kits for 6 months and loved that they included unique lines but I either loved the kits or hated them so I quit that one as soon as my commitment was up. Lovely customer service.
I'm debating trying out Coco Daisy but the kit I wanted (Feb) was sold out. I don't typically like March kits (too much green) so I'm waiting to see what their April kit looks like and maybe start with that kit. The ordering process does seem overly cumbersome but I'm willing to give it a go.
In the meantime, I picked up 2 of the embelishment kits from Freckled Fawn to add some new life to my stash. Their stuff is a little cutesy so I don't think I'd want to subscribe but it was fun to try something new.

I subscribe to The Scraproom. I have subscribed to them off and on for quite some time. I pick up a Hip Kit every once in a while and I have long thought about subscribing to them, as well. They seem to be more my style. I like Scraproom because I get just enough paper and product to try different lines. I can count on them for some seasonal stuff too.

I subscribe to Not Just for Boys. It's the first monthly kit subscription I've ever had & so far, I like it. I have a boy so I like that the papers aren't the typical pink/turquoise etc that tend to be popular. I'm interested to look up some of the kit clubs mentioned on here to see if I like the aesthetic of any of them.

I’m subbed to the Cocoa Daisy traveler’s notebook memory keeping kit right now. I really like it. TN scrapping is not something I have done before and I’m enjoying it. I also use the products on my regular scrap pages. I think it’s a pretty good value. In the past I have subbed to AE’s Story and stamp kit and SBTM . I still use the stamps and embellishments from those kits, but it was getting to be too much of the same for me. I wanted to try something new.
