At one time my library had a book about this man and his photographs. I found it fascinating both then and now. It was a book for children.

That's truly amazing. You would not know that some of those photos are snowflakes. TFS

Thanks!!!
Years ago while working, I stepped out of the vehicle, put my arm on the door with the window down and noticed snowflakes falling on my black selves. I ha ncamers with me. You could see them very clearly for a minute or so. Very beautiful, very delicate.

The book is called “Snowflake Bentley.” I am using it next week with my second graders to teach symmetry.
Thanks for the link. I am going to use some of these images.

If anyone is ever in the Burlington Vermont area, a trip to the small Snowflake Bentley exhibit (tiny museum) in Jericho is well worth it. Not large but interesting (IMO) and it is housed in a beautiful old mill. It is an iconic building around this area.
Thanks for the link.

I second compeateropeator's recommendation. I grew up in the area and have been in Snowflake Bentley's home because a schoolmate lived there. It's still a private residence but The Red Mill in Jericho is a great little museum and gift shop.
