I like names that meaning. Our dog Senna is named for one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers, Aryton Senna who died in an accident on track in 1994. It fits her perfectly, she's fast & fearless too. I love the memories you have of your past pets that tie to Ginny, so I would definitely vote for that.

Ugh. I’m having second thoughts and I made dd cry. I told her I’m not sure I like Ginny. I might prefer Penny.
I feel like I’ve told people and they say ‘what? Jenny?’ Is Ginny a mistake?
She’s coming on the weekend so I should make a decision at some point. I’m not sure seeing her will help.
It was easier coming up with kids names because I didn’t have my kids’ opinions in the mix.

When we were thinking of getting another dog a few years ago, we were choosing between Penny and Daisy.
She sure is adorable ! Can’t wait for the all the puppy pictures.

Why not let the kids name her? It gives them ownership and helps to cement their attachment.
