Good morning. Today we're at MIL's house, so that dh can do some lighting work. I have a really good puzzle down here. I'll be working on that. First, I'm off to run a couple pickup errands and then I'll pick up mil's laundry. We're hoping she can have a small outside socially distanced visit tmw. Dinner is Chinese takeout from a place that dh loves. They have green onion pancakes. Yum.
What's on your menu?
I have to go back and read the rest of yesterday's thread. May today be a happy today for everyone.

I bought a new duvet so I'm going to wrestle that into my duvet cover today (One thing I don't like about being single is this job!) No other plans today ... I'm just trying to enjoy my last days off Dinner tonight might be Shepherd's Pie ... it's still early so I might change my mind!

Our weather has become warmer this week, so going out to walk is much more pleasant. I didn’t sleep well last night, so I needed the fresh air and with nothing much else to do, I headed out early. Thankfully the cemetery was open again, and most of the paths were clear, so much easier than yesterday. In other good news today - Munich’s 7-day incidence of new Covid infections dropped below 100 for the first time since October, and Germany’s rate is at 119, also the lowest in ages. We are still in severe lockdown, so it is great to see it is having the desired effect. If this keeps up, we can hopefully have some relaxation of restrictions from mid-February.
Dinner here tonight is cottage pie. I need to get started making it soon, as it’s already 5pm here.

Good luck with your duvet leannec ! I do the inside out corner trick to get mine on, but it's still some work! psiluvu Mmmmmm pirogis!😋 I did not do errands and carryout last night as planned. I had a shitty headache by the time I got off work from these damn fronts moving through. So I went home and got in my PJs and had a big bowl of blue box man n cheese and watched Prodigal Son and RHOC. It was perfect. So tonight will be a few errands and then picking up sushi to take over to my parents.

Well last night DBF surprised me by calling in a carry-out order at our local BBQ place, so I picked that up on my way home from work (I drive right by it), so we had yummy BBQ. And today I have leftovers for my lunch. Maybe tonight we'll have the spaghetti I thought about yesterday. I'm a little overwhelmed at work today, so I'm solving that by taking this Pea break, lol. PolarGreen12, yesterday was a little similar for me, but I had the carryout, followed by a new season of Married at First Sight. Hope your headache is better

Oh, you guys, I reached out to my therapist last week and she got me in this morning. I'm so pleased I did that. She listened to my issues with my DD and she gave me fabulous resources and advice on how to approach her. I'm just going to pick my moment wisely and then I'm going to discuss with her her plan to launch her back into adulthood. But the tips and tricks she gave me were worth the hour talking to her. I loved it. I'm so glad my psychiatrist suggested it last week. A good therapist is worth every penny, guys. Last night I had to deal with a DD crisis. So I ended up getting home late and I picked up Arby's on my way. Today I plan to make that shrimp pesto. I'm having a great day mood-wise. I'm being productive and feeling very good. I think the medication increase my psychiatrist gave me last week is doing it's job too. So all-in-all, I'm happy today. And I wish you guys a wonderful day too.

Dinner is pot roast in the Ninja pot with veggies and (probably) mashed potatoes. I’ve been scraping along with whatever I could find in the fridge for too many days now. I missed yesterday’s thread (too busy celebrating) so I’ll go back and catch up. jeremysgirl, I’m glad you had a productive visit with your therapist. Good luck with DD.

Hi all - been in a bit of a funk with my daughter going back to school so haven't been participating. Going to make some beef stew with sourdough bread tonight - maybe some good old fashioned comfort food will help.

Good morning! Today I’m making a mammogram appt (anyone care to take a bet on how long it will take for me to get in?) and restarting “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” - a really interesting approach to drawing lessons. I really need to do more things where I can get a sense of accomplishment. And of course the daily job hunt. Dinner is cod in browned butter almond sauce. Should be good. jeremysgirl I’m so glad you have a good therapist and she helps. I hope you have a productive discussion with your dd. I’ve started back to therapy with someone new. I think I like her, but jury’s still out. She’s great with trauma, self-compassion and body-based treatment but she’s not really an all rounder or into CBT as much.

I have to go to the Comcast store this morning to figure out what's going on with our NBA League Pass. Our routine is that we will watch a show or two together then DH will settle in to watch the Warriors on the DVR. The last two times it looks like it's recording but he can't watch it. He can watch it live but by then it's halfway through the 3rd period. He wasn't a happy camper. I'm thinking maybe pot roast for dinner with carrots, potatoes and onions.

Pretty sure we'll be fending tonight. I do need to run by the grocery store after school. We are out of cat treats and the WORLD WILL END if there are no treats this evening. If I see something tasty (not cat treat related), I might pick it up. I'm also dealing with a sinus headache A long steamy, shower usually helps me get some relief.

cadoodlebug your meme is my life. Except two cats. And one in my chair and one on my desk. And one who is nosy everytime I have an online meeting. And one who is chasing her tail in the room creating chaos. My animals are going to be very upset when I go back to the office.

cadoodlebug, your meme is dh's life. I had to show him and he laughed. Every now and then my hubby comes into the family room carrying one big pussycat, telling him to go sit on someone else's chair. hehe. Our other kitty likes to unload my clothes cabinet and go to sleep in my unmentionables. Silly kitties. I still want a little doggie to love. PolarGreen12, I hope that your headache is gone. I still can't believe I had that stupid migraine last week. I'm close to 60 and have never had one before this. I used to love green onion pancakes. I wish I could pm you a batch. jeremysgirl, I had been quite concerned about you. Thank you for getting support and med changes from your psychiatrist and your therapist. Therapy is an essential part of self care for many of us. That hour of having someone to listen and guide, that is all about you is necessary. You thrive and you're strong compassionate woman, as well as a great mom. Still, you need and deserve that level of care. You're too important to suffer. Darcy Collins, it's hard when they go back to school, but remember that your dd is thriving and moving twd a successful, happy life. We want our children to have the best life and you're giving her that chance. Let the empty nesters in the tribe reassure you that this is good stuff.

I know when to get help and where to get it. And I know you get it, because you're in the same boat, sister. And as my kids are aging, I'm learning to put myself first. It's like they say, put on your own mask before helping someone else put on theirs. I'm doing it.

I am staring at a white screen. I have no idea what will be for dinner. I am at a loss. My dad bbqed last night and it was such a relief. Maybe chicken something. I have nothing yet.
The kitchen is finished. We are looking for a new microwave but that can wait for now.

catmom “ restarting “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” - a really interesting approach to drawing lessons. ” I love that book. Read part of it over 20 years ago and it gave me a whole new perspective. I should finish it! scrapmaven and PolarGreen12 Check out this recipe for vegetable (green onions/yellow onion/leek/zucchini/sweet potato and a “lonely“ mushroom) pancake. So easy and so good. Hmmm dinner...maybe naan pizza or rock cod with marinara on pasta. Depends if I get to the store.

We are looking for a new microwave but that can wait for now. Order one sooner rather than later. We ordered one months ago and it hopefully will arrive by the end of the month. It might be held up because we needed to order a trim piece too. Got DH's NBA League Pass figured out. He will be doing a happy dance this evening.

Hi Everyone, I didn’t sleep very well last night. The dog woke me up at 3:30 AM. And then I got up at 4:00 am and started icing my knee. I went back to sleep at 7:00 and slept until 11 AM. So I have been taking it easy today. I received confirmation that my insurance has approved my surgery. Tonight I want to make something easy. I just may ask my DH for Mexican takeout. PolarGreen12 I hope that your headache gets better. jeremysgirl I am really glad that you got to see your therapist. scrapmaven Enjoy your day at MIL’s place. cadoodlebug That meme is great! I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
