jeremysgirl, I know you are on top of your game. That's one of the things I admire about you. We have to advocate for ourselves and that means knowing our bodies well. PolarGreen12, lol. I never wanted a mouse, but I still really want a small dog. Dh does not. Grrrr. destined2bmom, I'm sorry that your pain is so prevalent, but glad that you are finally getting surgery in a couple weeks.

She listened to my issues with my DD and she gave me fabulous resources and advice on how to approach her. Awesome! Your kids might not appreciate it yet, but they are so lucky to have you in their corner. grammanisi , how is your granddaughter doing with COVID? It's another quiet day here and I'm getting a little bored with the Stay at Home routine. I'm at the point where I might rearrange the whole house for a change in view. Dinner is going to be Asian lettuce wrap filling with a bunch of stir-fried vegetables added.

I've never had a little girl Cocker. So whenever I try to convince my housemate we need a little girl Cocker and it doesn't go in my favor, my Ace up my sleeve is to make this super pathetic sad face, point at my throat, and tearfully say, "But but but cancer." It hasn't worked yet, but I'm wearing them down. You more than deserve to get your little dog. 🐶

I'm at the point where I might rearrange the whole house for a change in view. This is most likely the whole reason behind the fact that I am repainting my living room. I'm just getting incredibly bored. And I've already started planning the dining room too. Do whatever it takes to get you through Covid. If that means rearranging the furniture well, I say, at least it isn't permanent. As long as no one dies or gets pregnant by doing it, then I'm 110% on board with any idea.

Not sure yet. I have been trying to cook more. My choices are between a large baked potato and grilled asparagus or leftover Mexican. Maybe I will just surprise myself.
Enjoy your choices everyone.

Tonight we had a chicken pot pie that I had in the freezer. I had made several of them and froze them for fast dinners. Now I'm just relaxing with a cup of coffee.

I found the mouse. It was sitting next to my computer. Don't ask! Oh you duffer, that made me LOL! I bought a new duvet so I'm going to wrestle that into my duvet cover today (One thing I don't like about being single is this job!) I'm hearing ya, girlfriend!! It's my most hated job. It's worth keeping a man around for that job alone. sueg that's wonderful news about the reduction in new cases. Yes, severe lockdowns suck, but they work! jeremysgirl I'm glad you had such a good appointment with your therapist. Our air-conditioning isn't working at the moment. DSO climbed up onto the roof the other day to see if he could fix it (as I mentioned in the handyman thread, his catch phrase is "I'll give it a crack") but it's still not working. It's going to be 42 C / 107 F here on Monday so I hope it's fixed by then! Otherwise I'm moving into dad's house for the day. I wonder if I can get a waterproof cover for my laptop and work-from-pool?

Oh, I forgot about the dinner part of this thread! Thursday was Day 1 of my low calorie meal delivery service. I was very pleasantly surprised at how delicious the meals were. Breakfast: Bacon and egg mayo on a toasted multigrain muffin (except I couldn't find the bacon - remembered later that it was in the freezer) Snack: strawberries Lunch: Lemongrass chicken bites with salad, roasted peanuts and Vietnamese dressing (I added extra Asian herbs from my garden), vanilla pears, cheese and crackers Dinner: Southern chicken with sweet potato wedges, veggie stir fry and creamy ranch dressing

AussieMeg you sure that's a low cal meal plan? It looks pretty darn tasty to me. I wouldn't even know it was low cal. How much of the preparation did you have to do?

AussieMeg you sure that's a low cal meal plan? It looks pretty darn tasty to me. I wouldn't even know it was low cal. How much of the preparation did you have to do? I know, right? I usually don't eat breakfast, except for 2 coffees and some biscuits / cookies, so it seems like a lot of food. But the serving sizes are smaller than I'd usually have. The meals and snacks add up to 1200 calories per day. Two of the days are "fasting days" so I don't get breakfast on those days. As for preparation - Breakfast I had to toast the muffin. The egg mix was microwaved for 30 seconds. Lunch I had to microwave the chicken meatballs The dinner are in a microwave pack, so just 1.5 minutes in the microwave. A couple of breakfasts have eggs that I will need to poach. That's about the most labour intensive it gets! DSO could never do it, even the 1500 or 1800 calorie plans, because he cannot stand reheated meat of any kind.

No body aches or fever.

Good evening! BF is in travel mode again, so I'll have a dinner from the assorted leftovers.
He announced this morning that he will make beef bourguignon this weekend; there was a recipe in the newspaper.
So, I'll have to find frozen pearl onions somewhere.

Tried something new tonight because DSand were not feeling the meal planned. We opted for an instant pot recipe from Pinterest called Instant Pot Lemon Garlic chicken and Potatoes. Very good. Green with bacon bit as a side and garlic bread. Tasty for sure!

I ended up making beef and noodles instead of pot roast. Same piece of meat, I just wasn’t feeling the pot roast. This is the recipe I used. (Remember I finally found frozen noodles at Raley’s? I remembered they were in the freezer, and used them.) It was easy and tasted good. Can’t go wrong with that. I added frozen peas at the end. Would have used mushrooms, too, if I’d remembered to buy any. www.thecountrycook.net/crock-pot-beef-noodles/Oh, and my chuck roast was twice as big as needed, so after cooking all day but before adding the rest of the ingredients, I cut off half to save for soup this weekend.

I had major drama? I don’t know. My dad’s girlfriend is in our bubble and I love her. She asked me today if DS still works for BMW? (He just quit). OMG my dad said what? I said he was pursuing to terminate his employment there. I can’t lie to my dad’s girlfriend and my dad. I mean I wanted to crawl away. I earned my nightly relaxation med tonight. How could I sit there and lie to both of them sitting right there? I wanted DS to explain his plans. Argh.
