Is anyone making Valentine's Day cards, layouts or other projects? I saw Heidi Swapp make some lovely love themed tags on her IG feed. I made my own version of it but not sure if I will do some for loved ones or just make a card for them. I just like the idea of doing something different. Here is Heidi IG. You'll see the tags there. I did some red and pink gelli plating of hearts. Some turned out well. I need to turn them into cards. Oh, that sounds fun! I just ordered a gelli plate and hope to play around with it, too. I plan to make some for the shut-ins at church. I've been trying to send cards regularly. I gotta get moving on that! That is a great idea to send cards to shut-in church members. A very kind and compassionate thing to do.  |

I'm going to make some cards for my son's teachers and aides. I have a ridiculous amount of Valentine's themed stickers for something I rarely scrap.

I am normally a card maker but last year I got into scrapbooking more. But now I would like to regularly send cards, too. We could all use the happy mail these days.  |

I've been using it as an opportunity to try out new things. I have never been much of a stamper, but I pull my rubber stamps out frequently when I'm making his cards. I finally pulled my Big Shot out of the box -- it's only been sitting in the box since I bought it about four years ago! -- and I use it all the time now! He tells me that he likes to examine the cards to see how I've put them together. His degree is in graphic design and he works in advertising, so he's got an arty, creative side to him, too. |

People love to get stuff in the mail though the mail is still a bit sketchy in the USA! I found a stamp that said, " just dip it in chocolate and it will be fine!" Isn't that the truth! I usually make a few cards for Valentines- this year I used some oldies: a falling heart stencil with some embossing paste and a WPlus9 stamp set called Bubble Talk. I am really happy with they way they are shaping up. I will finish them tomorrow and post a photo.

I found a pack of cheap card bases that were buried in a drawer so I turned my 3 yr old DGS loose in my craft room. We made some heart die cuts, I gave him a glue stick, a pack of stickers, all the pink and red colored pencils I could find and he had a ball making cards. He had even more fun when he found the glitter. After his nap we made heart shaped sugar cookies. It will take me all day tomorrow to clean it up my craft room but that was the most fun I’ve had crafting in a long time.
