Yesterday we buried Dalia, our daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece, soon to be aunt and friend to so many. Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts. I'm so sorry. My FIL and his wife used to move back and forth each year between Haifa and the SF Bay Area - California.
Over the past twenty years, it has gotten better, and it has gotten worse. They stopped going back to Israel around 2001. Israeli wife of FIL started declining a few years after.
She hung on until last year, but it was hell for her and FIL.
She had been deprived of her home, and died in America. She wanted to be buried in Israel, but we couldn't make it happen fast enough.
