I googled Two Peas closing, found Reddit, then found this board. I'm glad someone is keeping this board going. I was so shocked when I tried to log in yesterday and found all the threads locked.

It's amazing to me how many different boards/forums got the news, especially outside of the scrapbooking sites. We certainly are a diverse bunch.

As soon as I saw that the message boards had closed but the peamail was working I started PMing people. Kelpea led me to the FB group and then I got here from the FB group. I was so afraid I would never find anyone when I read the news.

Had a couple invites from different peas, a couple to a couple different FB groups, and several to directly here. First sign that something was wrong were the emails from friends I have met through Two Peas.

/r/NSBR shows up on the first page of Google when one searches for "NSBR". I created that subforum and intend to leave it up. As for getting new members? Well...I think that will be a matter of reputation, aye? What I meant, though, was how TwoPeas seemed to come up for every single topic Googled. Also, I lurked on the board for a few years (only reading) before joining. I don't know that many new people would create a log-on for a board they haven't even seen/read. That is why I think this may not last. Even if every single poster from TwoPeas came here, THAT board was dying, but this one doesn't even have the traffic since you have to be a member to read in the first place. I like it, YOU like it, but people who can't browse a private board are in no way lured in. I can see why Facebook boards where people are using real first and last names are private, but can't see this continuing or growing with new members in the present form for long past the initial stage. I was able to see the threads before I joined. Was I just lucky? I didn't think this board was private. Perhaps people are getting confused because there seems to be a private FB group or board. |

No...I don't do FB...what's weird is it was private on my desktop (before getting an id & signing on), but public on my iphone last nt (not ever signed on there).
