Hybrid farming is frustrating. 🥺😔 I can get all the ones I don’t want, but the ones I do are completely eluding me.
I got my order of white streetlights today, and I’m so happy to have another color option on my island, I’m going to get the black before Halloween.

My last two replacement villagers have both been sent to me from Isla Scout, naby64They introduce themselves the first day with boxes and tell me that's where they are from. First it was Marcie the kangaroo, and today it's Midge the bird. Please tell me Midge won't drive me crazy. I had a peppy rabbit in my campsite I passed up because those peppy villagers can be a lot of work. I think Midge is a Normal, so that's good. I have one peppy penguin and she's enough. I don't mind some of the ones I see people passing up. I thought I would hate the gorilla that was placed here as my first camper you can't reject. I definitely don't hate him. And I like my cranky rooster, too. |

I loved Midge. She just asked to leave and I let her. Marcie was also sweet. I didn't get either of their photos before they left. I did got through a spot where I wasn't really talking to my residents as I was TTing so much. You will be good with both of them.

Continuing my villager hunt: Island #1: Rizzo, a grey mouse wearing an odd purple scarf. Nope. Island #2: Gruff, a green goat. Nope. Island #3: Rooney, a blue kangaroo. Nope. Island #4: Al, a green gorilla. Heck nope!! after dog walk: island #5: Felicity, a cute cat but I've had so many cats. Nope Island #6: Boyd, an orange gorilla. Double heck nope! (he's worse than Al!) Island #7: Eloise, a yellow elephant who I've had before. Nope. Island #8: Bluebear, a cute blue bear. I might have taken him except that I'm replacing a blue villager. Also I'm not sure I'm in the mood for another wanna-be pop star.  Nope. Island #9: Octavian, a red octopus. What the heck? Nope. evnimom I'm thinking your Maddie is looking better and better. Let me know when you'll be open. I went island hopping last night to find a new villager. I kept getting some scary looking ones! I almost adopted a horse named Cleo, but I already have Julian and I was hoping for something new. After 28...yes, TWENTY EIGHT islands, I wound up getting one of those supposed top-tier villagers named Audie. My daughter said "MOM! How did you get that lucky again!?" I honestly don't know. I accidentally wound up with Julian once because he just landed in a vacant house while I was time traveling. I wound up with Merengue from some nice soul here who offered her up in boxes.  I got Zell from island hopping. Honestly, the only high-demand characters I ever paid to go get (Judy and Ankha) are the ones who have disappointed me. Last time I went island hopping for a character, Sherb showed up twice. But I was hunting for a different character. I'd take him now! Anyway, I think I will stick to island hopping from now on. Even if it takes 28 tries, I'm usually happier. I have Audie and adore her. She’s a peppy (which I don’t love but somehow don’t mind with her) and I love her coloring and finding teal items for her. ❤️ |

(Even if the switch is in another room, it's like my kids know when I'm sneaking off to check it and chaos ensues.) I just saw your nice comments about my island--I hope you had fun wandering around! I've neglected my island the past couple weeks; I need to change it up a bit, but I'm at a loss. And don't worry about the hole: it was trapping Flick cuz I hate tracking him down, but I'd already sold my bugs to him and just forgot he was up there lol. |

So just when I thought I had all the DIYs (based on the fact that I never get any new ones) I picked up one from the beach bottle... a "lovely cosmos crown". Didn't have that one! And then I switched to my second profile to have her put some stuff in storage and she picked up the beach bottle...and yep, the "lovely cosmos crown" again! hahahahahaha What are the odds? Anyway, does anyone want this one? Homer needs that one if you want to send it to me! Sending it now. |

I was the textbook rude guest today- I wandered off with a conversation box open so no one could come or go and then I left an island without saying goodbye, although I did leave through the airport. Oh. And earlier this week, I accidentally plucked 3 out of 4 flowers I was trying to water. 😂😂😂 I think it's time for me to get a job lol. |

I’ve got Celeste so I just opened OliveGardn. I don’t think I have shooting stars though. She’s trapped on the top level on the right next to the pumpkin patch. There are a few freebies on the beach to the right of the airport. Feel free to shop.
ETA I left gold watering cans out of you don’t mind watering my flowers that are in beds to the left of the airport.

I have just taken down almost everything on my island!  I have my Narnia area which will stay for a little while. And I still have my zen garden, my greenhouse, a frozen pond, and a couple of little reading nooks. That is it! I'm in the process of digging up all my pink flowers. And I've lost my waste basket twice this morning. Currently it's lost completely so I just went back to my house and got another one from storage. lol I can't wait to get started on trying for the hybrids. I've had many of them already by accident but this time I want to systematically get all of them so I can check them off the list. I think I'll put my flower breeding area near the greenhouse, which seems to make sense. lol And, after all the time it took me to put my villager houses in a circle I'm now thinking that I'd like them in more of a square so they can have bigger yards (right now they don't really have any yards). I still want to have a central common area for the villagers but I think I can get that with the houses in a square or rectangle. So the only large area that I'm not thinking of ripping up is my rock garden. Not sure I'm up for that again, lol. Especially not now with my island basically bare. Anyone else here feel like constantly tearing stuff up and changing everything? I know some of you seem to keep your island pretty full, so I'm probably the odd one out here. lol. I love running across emptiness and imagining all the possibilities. hahaha Now I can't wait for spring to do some springy/summery things. Although, I need the snow for my Narnia area so I might have to TT back for awhile just to keep it winter.  |

Right now, it's mostly me on the island because the others have been pulled away to Pocket Camp, so I'm slowly moving things around. My other thing is I don't like having the same things as other people, so I have to change things up if I notice a trend. ie: outdoor library. I love libraries, I just have to come up with a way to not make it seem like the same ol' same ol'. That's one of the reasons I don't do Dream Islands... with the exception of Disney/Hogwarts, since I won't do my island themed that way anyway. ^.^ Who is excited about the update tonight?! The Mario stuff won't hit the shop until Monday, but still, it's something new!! |
