UPDATE 6APR21 I received the replacement nozzles today in the mail. I was shocked that it was only about 3 weeks from the date they said they would send out as soon as they could (product delays may have effected it). Cant wait to replace them and try them out.
**** ORIGINAL
I have about 9 bottles of DW gloss sprays and 7 are clogged. ARGH
I have sprayed them upside down to empty the nozzles when I am done using them (and it kills me to waste that spray!). I have kept the caps on tight. I shake the shit out of them before using. I am so frustrated.
I have tried soaking them in hot water. Then hotter water. I read that with the acrylic paint, water may not the be the best option....rubbing alcohol is better. I ran out to buy some and soaked them. Some are now spraying droplets, but not a nice spray. Others are still clogged.
Have you had any issues? Have you had luck trying to clear them up?
I have emailed Ranger a couple of times and have heard nothing back. Not sure if that is their usual customer service? Im hoping maybe they have spare nozzles I can buy to replace mine or offer some ideas. I would hate to throw them out as they are practically new, fuller bottles.

I think it's the shaking the shit out of them that gets them clogged, at least that's how the Shimmerz sprays go. I would assume even if there are no shimmer particles, the shaking gets the thicker bits that have settled to the bottom swept into the tube, so when you spray nothing/little comes out. I know this doesn't help your clogged sprays now, but for future try rolling the bottles between your hands with the bottles facing upright to combine the contents. I hope Ranger responds to your inquiry.

I have tried sticking a small pin in the front of the nozzle. I also take the spray tube off and stick something small in that. I don't have those particular sprays. so I can't speak for that brand.

I ended up just using different bottles.

I had the same problem w/Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I don't buy that stuff any more. I used to buy replacement sprayers at Dax Plastics. I don't think many of us use the sprayers very often, so they just dry up and coagulate. I think the best way to deal with the problem is to find a lid for the bottles, and remove the sprayers and rinse them with alcohol each time.

Thanks! I do use them frequently and this just started all of a sudden over the past 2 weeks. I wasnt shaking lots (not quite rolling them but more swirling the ball baring in the bottom) and it did it so I thought some of the stuff was getting sucked up. I shook more and it still clogged. Keep your fingers crossed that Ranger replies. If not, I will be looking for other bottles - glad to know that worked for you jediannie

You can try calling Ranger's customer service instead of just emailing.
That said, I've found Ranger's customer service isn't as customer focused as it really should be. When I had a problem with a defective Ranger product, they wanted me to return it to my LSS. I know that creates a HUGE hassle for the small business owner. It wasn't the store's fault. It was the manufacturer's fault. I wish they had stood behind their products. In the end I just decided to be more cautious with my Ranger purchases.

This is one of the reasons I stopped using sprays. The other is that instead of misting they'd spit out globs of color. I finally just gave up. Love the look but it was just too frustrating. The

I bought a shadow ink pad second hand I believe (I don't have many of those shadow inks and most were bought second hand and a few on clearance, so one or the other) and the ink pad was fine, but I was really worried about it drying up because the lid wouldn't stay on. The other colors I had didn't have particularly tight lids, but they at least stayed on unless I wanted them to come off. That particular one just didn't want to stay on. I got in touch with them and they very quickly sent me out a replacement. They didn't ask for proof of purchase or pictures or anything, just my shipping information.

I’m not familiar with these sprays but I know Ranger sells replacement sprayers for the Dylusions sprays. Maybe those would fit what you have.
I remember seeing a video once that said any sprays that contain mica or have that little ball in the container that they should be stored on their side.

I agree with both of the above comments regarding Hero Arts terrific customer service. I had a problem with a stamp set that had a "knick" on the surface. I called them and, although they were out of stock at that time, as soon as it was back in stock (maybe two weeks), I received the replacement in the mail. No questions, not photos needed of the defect. No Hassle. "Hero Service"!

I bought a Distress Oxide ink pad that I am not able to get the lid off at all. My LSS was not able to replace it because they did not have another in stock, and were not willing to do a return, so told me to contact Ranger. Ranger would not deal with me directly, and told me to go back to my LSS. So now I have an ink pad I cannot use. Even American Crafts customer service is better than that!

Ranger's customer service is less than stellar. I bought several bottles of Enamel Accents in different colors at an expo, and a few months later, the colors started to fade at the bottom. I emailed them, and they made me jump through hoops before sending me replacements. Those were fading when I received them! What bothered me the most was that they essentially said they were doing me a favor, and that this wasn't their usual policy, since they prefer that you deal with the place where you made the purchase. I now have 6 bottles of pastel Enamel Accents.
Hero Arts, on the other hand, had amazing customer service. This was many years ago, but when I had a defective letter stamp in one of their sets, they sent me a whole new set. All I wanted was the single letter, but I received a whole new set. Not only that, but they apologized to me for (potentially) ruining my projects and selling inferior merchandise.
I hope Ranger makes good on the sprays. Unfortunately, I wouldn't count on it.

I just want to update quickly. Ranger emailed me back last Friday. They gave tips to clean the nozzles but understood that i tried that all. They asked for pictures of the bottles and when/where i purchased. I replied back over the wknd w the requested info. They replied yesterday w an apology for the inconvenience and that replacement nozzles will be sent out immediately. Now to patiently wait
