I haven't received all of my documents but I've already done a draft. I'll e-file them the second I've confirmed all of the numbers.

Just received final docs needed on Thursday. It doesn’t take long to do mine so I may just sit down and get it down tomorrow.

Nope - I'm afraid to send ours to the accountant lol. First - in Canada we can contribute to our RRSP (registered retirement plan) until end of February to count towards the prior year's taxes. DH has auto-withdrawal on his paycheque, so we always wait until we get that statement. Second - I was eligible for, and took, all 4 months of the benefit. But it wasn't taxed. I've heard stories of those who did theirs and have to pay $1200 on the $6000 they took. But I was prepared for that and started adding money to my pre-paid tax account. Third - I'm a small business so I have until end of June to do so. But usually we get that final receipt by mid-March, so I'll start hounding all the kids for all their receipts so I can send it all to our accountant at once!

Ours are due on Monday. Did the final meeting with our CPA on Thursday and will drop in on Monday to sign the papers and write a check to the state for about 30K ... ouch. Came out ok on the Federal side.
Taxes start hard for me at the end of December. That is when we have to get things figured out to know if we need to spend big $ in December or January. That makes Christmas fun. Not.
Still missing one K1. I had to call and have them email it to me.

Texas residents have until June 15 because of the snow storm. I will wait and file closer to that date.

No. I am still trying to decide if I use an accountant or purchase the Turbo Tax program.
Texans got a 2 month extension because of the ice storm and those who had financial records destroyed with water.

Ds can use the free version of turbo tax

It's on my to-do list for a first pass this weekend. I lost two of my dependents this year so I am expecting a hit.

In the process of working on them now. We usually owe so won't file until later. It just helps to know the damage earlier rather than later.

No. I am still trying to decide if I use an accountant or purchase the Turbo Tax program. Texans got a 2 month extension because of the ice storm and those who had financial records destroyed with water. I’ve used TurboTax online for 10+ years. Love it...if you pay a little early, you get $20-ish off the fees, so for me it was $70 instead of $90-95, I think for Premier version. I don’t use the two higher level versions. You can pay for TT without filing yet to get the discount so I always do that.

Yep! We usually download and print out all of our paperwork at the start of February, put them all in turbo tax, and check it twice the first weekend of February. On the 12th, we got notified our returns were accepted and had federal return on the 22nd. I haven't checked on state yet but the one of the teens got his state return already. The other said he got his federal but didn't mention state.

We dropped off our papers to the accountant last week. We probably will get a state refund but owe a little to the Feds.

Done and we have the refund money. We got back about $3,000 less than last year. Not much has changed, so I’m bummed. But I put it all in the house fund. Someday we will buy a house!

We started them a couple weekends ago. Let them sit. Looked through them again and filed. I'm always excited when we adjust things throughout the year and get super close with either a small refund or small bill. This year we were within $100. I consider that a win.
