DD(23) is needing a little cheering up and we just can't seem to find a lot of good streaming comedies and romantic comedies along the lines of The Silver Linings Playbook, Brittany Runs A Marathon or The Big Sick.
Next up is The Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
I'm not interested in anything Will Ferrell or frat boyish comedy.
What other movies should I put on the list?
Anything on Netflix, Prime or Hulu that made you laugh recently?
ETA Looking for movies, not a series.

Thanks, @sunnycamom. The Proposal is a favorite of hers and I don't know if she's seen the two, but I can't find any of them streaming.

Netflix-the "to all the boys I've loved before" is 3 in the series. It's about a HS girl, but I just love her and her family and the story. It's light and fun.
-Virgin River is a series. There's 2 seasons out.
-Bridgerton on netflix,..of course. ha
The Queens gambit is a series, but not long. I think 8 episodes
Emily in Paris Series
Pride and prejudice, oldie but goodie

These are oldies, but given her age maybe she hasn’t seen them before?
When Harry Met Sally Forget Paris You’ve Got Mail
I believe all 3 are streaming on HBO Max (on either the main app or on the AMC app-within-the-app)

The Scarlet Pimpernel (1982). You can stream it on Acorn only. However, you can also find it find it on You Tube.

It came out a while back, but Palm Springs on Hulu is an absolute delight. Highly recommend.

cindyupnorth, she's seen most of those. We are looking for one off movies. Sparty, it looks those are either Showtime or we have to rent. lisacharlotte, I'll check that one out. I don't mind renting a movie, but was hoping to find at least something on the streaming options we're already paying for.

Below are a few that are similar to Britney Runs a Marathon, but not necessarily rom-coms:
The Giant Mechanical Man Love, The Coopers Dorfman in Love Troop Zero Peanut Butter Falcon

Just for out and out laughs.... on IMDb... Miranda, a British comedy starring Miranda Hart who is wonderful. They have 2 of the 4 seasons and I haven't laughed so hard in a long, long time.

Also on Amazon I was searching last night and the Royal Tenenbaums was available. I'm a Wes Anderson fan so I was excited to see that, but not everybody finds them enjoyable. I don't know if any of the others are on right now, I always try the "more like this" when I find a movie I like. As far as rom-coms, there really haven't been many new ones, I enjoy a lot of the old classics. I know that His Girl Friday and To Catch a Thief are on Amazon, but maybe too old for her to enjoy?? Oh! Never Been Kissed and 10 Things I Hate About You were staples for me but I don't know if they are streaming but maybe she'd appreciate those?...I'll edit this post if I find them somewhere. I love movie recommendations. ETA: Never Been Kissed looks like its on Hulu (but I don't have that so I can't really tell) and 10 Things is on Disney+.)

They’re older but friends from college on Netflix and catastrophe on prime were both fun to watch. Catastrophe has strong language if that’s an issue.

Love, Rosie on Amazon with Lily Collins. I loved the book, but I think the movie is cute too.
Leap Year is pretty cute and bonus with the Irish scenery. But also perfect since it’s not a leap year, but close enough 😉.
And I know you want a movie, but Love Sick on Netflix is always completely unknown to people, but it is such a cute show.
ETA-I think I need to find another word besides cute🤣

Ever After
I also love Midnight in Paris with Owen Wilson. It's not a straight comedy or romcom, but I think it's excellent. Owen is a writer who romanticizes early 20th century Paris and magically gets to time travel. There is romance, and it is funny. It's on HULU
The two Troll movies are really good, and the soundtrack is awesome.
