@kendramage âWe just started watching What We Do in the Shadows again from the beginning last night because my ds had not seen it yet, so glad there will be a 3rd season!! My ds gave me the first Dark Tower book for Christmas but I havenât started it yet. Hoping it will be a good Summer Read series for this year I just have to say this about Dark Tower series...I almost quit after the first book, the Gunslinger. I was like, no way this is too obtuse, blah blah...however two things I had to realize... First, King was 19 when he wrote it (!!!) Depending on the edition you have, King has an intro in the Gunslinger, and I found it helpful in understanding where he was when he wrote it. The other conclusion I had to come to was understanding that the Gunslinger is the barest sketch of the series. It's like licking a lollipop one time and tasting cherry. I wanted details! More character development! Ect! And that comes later. I would have loved if someone had told me these things before I started, so I hope it helps lol... Yes, this will help tremendously, thank you! I will stick with the series if I reach a roadblock in the first book. My ds and I share a love of science fiction and fantasy novels, but my tastes are pretty mainstream compared to his, and I donât want to throw the towel in on a series if it doesnât grab me right away

Back to catch up here and then into a virtual crop! Finally! lol LavenderLayoutLady that's awesome you finished off a paper pad! That's like impossible! I'm loving reading everyone's responses to the prompts and seeing all the pretties being posted. This is probably my favorite weekend of the year here. Thank you so much sleepingbooty for hosting this! Saturday AMA: 1. Play DESIGNER FOR A DAY and share your ultimate, dream scrapbook or cardmaking release with us! The theme, the colours, the patterns, the icons, the sentiments, the overall feel. Do you have any artists or aesthetic/style you'd like to see in this line/release? I would like to see bright colors with navy, and less theme specific icons. More grown up boy lines. 2. What are you most looking forward to documenting (or making cards for) in the COMING YEAR? Vaccination is unfolding (but variants are popping up everywhere, too, boo), things will eventually start changing. Talk us through what you hope to see in your scrapbooks next. I hope to see more people in my scrapbooks this coming year, and some adventures. And more layouts about Abby the cat 3. Give your fellow croppers a RECOMMENDATION from your current faves: TV show, movie, (audio) book, podcast, online article, YouTube video, etc. Anything that you feel worth sharing with us goes. This is hard, so many of my current faves are things I see here on peas so you all know them already lol. This place is my one stop information shop lol. Off to finish setting up and getting to scrapping!

Saturday AMA:
1. Play DESIGNER FOR A DAY and share your ultimate, dream scrapbook or cardmaking release with us! The theme, the colours, the patterns, the icons, the sentiments, the overall feel. Do you have any artists or aesthetic/style you'd like to see in this line/release? I know it's wishful thinking here, but mine would probably be to bring back some of the old Basic Grey lines (Out of Print, Sultry, Sugar Rush, Sweet Threads to name a few). The colors were saturated without being in-your-face bright and the designs were not overly theme-y but just generally inspiring and versatile. I loved them and didn't buy nearly enough way back when. I'm hoarding the bits that I have left, LOL. Some is saved for projects I haven't gotten to yet.
2. What are you most looking forward to documenting (or making cards for) in the COMING YEAR? Vaccination is unfolding (but variants are popping up everywhere, too, boo), things will eventually start changing. Talk us through what you hope to see in your scrapbooks next. I'm looking forward to making layouts of the 2 cats we adopted, and hopefully some some pictures of some sort of travel in the next year.
3. Give your fellow croppers a RECOMMENDATION from your current faves: TV show, movie, (audio) book, podcast, online article, YouTube video, etc. Anything that you feel worth sharing with us goes. Currently reading The Nightingale (Kristin Hannah) and I really like it. DH & I just finished Season 1 of Wanda Vision - it grew on me but I didn't initially love it. We're big Marvel fans so it was a must - greatly looking forward to them doing a Loki series and others too. I think Captain America might be the next one they're doing. (Also going to check out the Norwegian Ragnarok series that was mentioned upthread, and the Netflix pirate series that was mentioned.) Other recent likes include Bridgerton & Emily in Paris. DH & I currently watching the new remakes of All Creatures Great and Small on Masterpiece (PBS) and we're both really liking that!

peachiceteas (and anyone looking for a cocktail stamp set)âI picked up this set from Catherine Pooler to use with New Years photos. Since it has a highball glass, I think I will also pull it out to use with our Scotland distillery outing photos. Love the retro aesthetic. But would also love to see what Geralyn would do with this theme Catherine Pooler Cocktail Party Stamp Set This is awesome. Thanks for sharing. I love the cocktail shaker and the decanter in particular. Those would go so well with many of my stories. I've never heard of Catherine Pooler before - she has some absolutely beautiful ink colours!

I just got a delivery from Studio Calico of some stamp sleeves. I'm going to sit here for a little bit and watch some Netflix whilst cutting down some cardstock for the backing. I will enjoy putting my 6x4 stamps into their new homes whilst my husband is downstairs watching the rugby!

peachiceteasâYes, Catherine Pooler has some beautiful ink colors, I think the photo you posted is from their most recent ink release. I donât have any of their ink pads, but from what Iâve learned on YT they are a dye ink but have a foam pad instead of the usual felt/linen pad, so are super juicy and work well for color blending and embossing (kind of like the Distress Oxide inks, but not a true hybrid). I may pick up some of the mini pads if I keep stamping

Saturday AMA:
1. Play DESIGNER FOR A DAY and share your ultimate, dream scrapbook or cardmaking release with us! My dream scrapbook collection would have bright pastels, stripes, hearts, confetti, and watercolor papers.
2. What are you most looking forward to documenting (or making cards for) in the COMING YEAR? Family and friend reunions! All my siblings, our kids and my closest friends (for over 60 years) have been vaccinated, and small gatherings are on the horizon. I will cherish every moment, take loads of pictures, and document all the love and joy!
3. Give your fellow croppers a RECOMMENDATION from your current faves: TV show: The Equalizer with Queen Latifah; Movie: Moxie (Netflix); Book: Anything by Michael Connelly

Saturday AMAs: 1. Dream Release? I would love to see a scrapbook line done by Lisa Congdon. That would make me very happy. 2. This Coming Year? I recently discovered list-style documenting from Layle by Mail on YT. I love the idea of making lists of childhood favorites by genre (movies, music, books, etc.) as a way to jumpstart documenting some childhood memories. My long-term memory is really bad, so I think this may help me. Even if I can't remember specifically, I think I will enjoy remembering some favorites from long ago. I intend to include pictures pulled from the internet (book covers, etc.) rather than personal photos. 3. Media Recommendations? TV: Nate Bargatze's new stand-up comedy special on Netflix, The Greatest Average American (2021) Movie: Promising Young Woman (2020) YouTube: Cheyanne Barton (art/etc.), I'm A Cool Mom (junk journals), Rebeca Ruiz (mini albums/scrapbooking) Book: The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab (available on Libby!) Now to catch up with the rest of the thread!

Do you have any artists or aesthetic/style you'd like to see in this line/release? Well, I know it's far too specific to ever be made, but my dream would be shades of green, gold, possibly brown accents, and possibly just a touch of blue. IT would be Irish/Celtic music and dance themed. So, lots of knotwork, some sentiments both in Gaelic and English, lyrics of traditional standards, the feel of a pop-up session in a pub. 2. What are you most looking forward to documenting (or making cards for) in the COMING YEAR? Vaccination is unfolding (but variants are popping up everywhere, too, boo), things will eventually start changing. Talk us through what you hope to see in your scrapbooks next. I'm badly wanting to take the Ireland vacation we had scheduled for last May, but that won't be this year, or even by this time next year. So, the next two milestone things for me will probably be a return to girls' crafting weekends, which I desperately miss, and next year's St. Patrick's Day celebrations (please, God, don't take away "Irish Dancer Christmas" for a 3rd year in a row!). 3. Give your fellow croppers a RECOMMENDATION from your current faves: TV show, movie, (audio) book, podcast, online article, YouTube video, etc. Anything that you feel worth sharing with us goes. Fishermen's Friend is a great, heartwarming (which I don't normally go in for) movie. I've been reading James Rollins books the last year and really enjoying his Sigma Force series. His writing is similar to Dan Brown. And, if you've gotten this far with my Irish this and Irish that - and since it's St. Paddy's week, I'll leave you with a youtube link for DD's Irish Dance School doing their thing at a festival in 2019: Irish dancingPS - grammadee this is my 3rd post. I don't think I've ever tagged anyone before, so hopefully I did it right!

I want navy, a true red, a buttery yellow. No random animals, foods, or mythical creatures as the icons. No best day evers. Crisp and clean.
2. What are you most looking forward to documenting (or making cards for) in the COMING YEAR? Vaccination is unfolding (but variants are popping up everywhere, too, boo), things will eventually start changing. Talk us through what you hope to see in your scrapbooks next.
Taking the kids out on day trips. Zoo, museums, something, anything.
I don't know when this will be, but when it is safe (Honestly, I would feel best if they were vaxxed), then we will be all about doing all the things.
I really miss doing all the things.
3. Give your fellow croppers a RECOMMENDATION from your current faves: TV show, movie, (audio) book, podcast, online article, YouTube video, etc. Anything that you feel worth sharing with us goes.
Does anyone else struggle to fit EVERYTHiNG into these crop days? Yes! Glad it's not just me!
I had to work a full shift today, get home, take care of kids, shower, etc.
Iâm pretty sure this will count for Fridayâs Colours challenge of âwhite and brightâ lol!
That is a gorgeous layout! Well worth the time you put into it.
I love the idea of making lists of childhood favorites by genre (movies, music, books, etc.) as a way to jumpstart documenting some childhood memories. Ooooh! That's a great idea!

Sooo, it's already Saturday evening here.
My February photos just got delivered!! Woot! Woot! Wasn't expecting them until at least the 24th (not complaining, though).
I sorted and separated them just now. I have a lot of snow photos that I'm going to hold off on scrapping until I buy some fun embellishments or a new snowflake punch, and cardstock in blues.
I might putter with the February pandemic pics.
Tomorrow I will have time to really scrap, and I'm really, really looking forward to it. (work took a lot out of me).
Thank you to all who jump in here, whether you have just a little to say or a whole lot. I love reading it all! It really makes me feel like a part of something, especially with this whole past year being so socially isolating.
