Family obligations are now done, we've just returned home after a run to the airport, and it's raining today so not only am I free to play, the weather is actively encouraging it!
1. Play DESIGNER FOR A DAY and share your ultimate, dream scrapbook or cardmaking release with us! Mine would include small repeating patterns like hearts and stars, lightly distressed tone on tone polka dots, watercolour wash backgrounds, white base to the papers, a floral paper that can be easily fussy cut, and a cut apart sheet that includes pieces perfect for titles and journaling. Thickers that include plenty of vowels and other commonly used letters in a scripty font where the letters align perfectly to create words without weird overly large spaces. Two die cut packs, one just florals and one with all the other pieces which would include plenty of labels and usable shapes like stars and hearts, and just for fun I'd throw in one of the smaller sticker books that seem to be in a lot of collections these days.
2. What are you most looking forward to documenting (or making cards for) in the COMING YEAR? I wish I could say vacations, but the reality is much closer to home. This has been a tough year so far, with some stressful family situations. I look forward to scrapping the everyday when we return to less stressful times.
3. Give your fellow croppers a RECOMMENDATION from your current faves: I really enjoyed the netflix doco on the college admissions scandal. It was an easy watch and for someone who only knew the headlines, it was interesting.

I just finished one layout today.
Didn't work on a pandemic layout. Instead jumped to Lego pics of my younger kids. Lots of bright primary colors. Enamel dots.
I'm too tired to muster another one today. Tomorrow will be a fresh day, full of possibility.

Wow so.much.goodness in this thread! I finished a one pager during the couple hours I was in a virtual crop. Stopped for something to eat, had an unexpected guest - in my bubble and he brought dinner. DS1 and of course we had to catch a couple episodes of WandaVison. So now, I think all the phone calls, and people are finished lol Just printed out that last sketch you posted grammadee I already know exactly the photo I want to use with it! And heck yea! I'll take TEN points ha! I hope to work on it tomorrow for the double points lol. I think I'll pop in a msliz virtual crop for a while and see what I can get done! Linda don't worry about being quiet. There are lots of us that stay pretty quiet |

Saturday AMA:1. Designer for a day... My Dee Lightful line will have heavy, tearable papers with muted patterns (checks, stripes, dots, mottled mixed media look) in rich shades of blues and greens and oranges and yellows. Other colours will be added as requested. It will have alphabet stickers/thickers with LOTS of Wheel of Fortune letters--N, S, T, L, and E, and extras of A's and O's and R's and Y's. There will be stickers to represent all ages and ethnicities as they are TODAY, doing things they do today. These images don't need to go on the papers, b/c you can adapt the papers to any theme if you use the stickers. 2. I am really looking forward to DOING things WITH people and taking the photos to prove it! I ordered Howdy b/c I would dearly love to attend a rodeo. I want to see my grandkids play sports, have music recitals. 3. I recommend that people who are looking for sketches go to our own Sketchy Saturday challenges to see what sketches the peas have already collected and done samples for. Better yet, if you find a sketch you like somewhere else, why not offer to host one of these Saturdays by replying to the thread I linked?

my people are back home - DH took the girls into the city to shop as DD20 needed an outfit for DD14's confirmation (she's her sponsor). This was a double-win for me - I didn't have to go and listen to DD complain about there being no clothes she likes and fits AND I got the house to myself for scrapbooking. They've all disappeared into their rooms so I'm back in the craft room.  |

LOVE the fun name of your line! Very clever play on your name.  I've made lots of cards and scrapbook albums for people---on the back, I'd put my silly, just-for-fun "company" name. I'm too embarrassed to say what it is here, but my friends and family enjoy it. Can you imagine if we were all in person and you could just listen to everyone talking but keep cropping. I think that's why the online crops are working for me You brought back soooo many happy memories !!! Back in 2000, 2001, and 2002, my friends and I went to our fave scrapbook store EVERY. SINGLE. FRIDAY. NIGHT It was SOOO much fun, and it's when I fell deeply in love with scrapbooking! We also threw some FUN scrapbook parties at our houses. Everyone made delicious food and treats, and we scrapped (and laughed !) until the wee hours. I'm so grateful that scrapbooking gave me some very dear friends! I also LOVE the quality/ thickness of Bazill cardstock. I still have TONS of it !!!! "What We Do in the Shadows" was renewed for Season 3, (woot woot!!) I look forward to watching this, too! I love Jason Clement !!!! Have you watched "Flight of the Concord?" Taikia Watiti is involved in (I forget whether he's director, producer, etc ? ) "What We Do in the Shadows", so I KNOW it must be good !!! I only recently learned allll about Taika and his body of work---I went down quite the rabbit hole! It all started when I watched "Jo Jo Rabbit"......he was SO good as a satirical Hitler! That lead me to read all about his career, and watch several interviews with him on you-tube....I'm a huge fan now, and want to watch everything he's done.

Well, so far during this crop I’ve gotten my taxes signed and mailed back to the accountant, finished 2 pocket pages from 12/2020 and laid out the pictures for 2 more pages and a 6x12 insert.
I’ll keep plodding along.

Starting with comments back on page FOUR: Linda, the browns really work with those reenactment photos. And the pop of green really pulls out the blue in your photos on page five. Love the hearts holding down the journaling strips on the Dreams LO. PAGE FIVE-SIX: Linda, your productivity amazes me! And you have great photos: love the action shots with the smoke still in the air. justjac, those Gina K cards are beautiful. Love the colours! So great you were able to take the class AND create the cards! Pages SEVEN & EIGHT: Neisey, your Fiji title page with the rainbow is GORGEOUS!!! Love the colours, everything about it! And that travel to Melbourne page is amazing. I love the track of the plane's route to the different airports, and all the travel images. Linda, I am always amazed by how you use colour. The reinactment pages are so classic, with the heritage colours, and then the purple one with your dd is so girlie and pretty. And then of course you have the perfect pp for the plane photos, and the perfect greens for the mustang test drive and the college shirt! justjac, are those stamped flowers on the CTMH cards? They are really pretty. And if I ever get to go to an amusement park or a midway again, I may need to borrow those LawnFawn stamps with the roller coaster! kitbop and angel97701, there is love on Flickr. I'm heading to bed after a good day of scrapping! Looking forward to seeing many of you tomorrow. For tonight, one last POP UP SKETCH INSPIRATION - I'm currently playing with this one myself. I'm using 2 photos that I could crop into circles, and then a 4x4 photos that I'm placing under the title element.  HIP KIT MAY 1 2020 by kirstendrew, on Flickr I also thought you could use 4 circles of patterned paper, and a 4x6 photo under that title really well too. |

I have another page finished. For one of gramma’s 28-4-28 challenges. And I used Joyfulnana’s sketch and sleepingbooty’s Saturday prompts. Will get it photographed and linked tomorrow. Have photos picked and papers cut into 5” squares for kitbop’s first sketch. Hoping to move on to my triangle sketch &/or kitbop’s circles after that one. It has been a scrappy fun weekend, so far! |

Thank you so much to everyone who hosted the virtual crops yesterday and today, and to the ones who will be hosting the three crops tomorrow at noon EST, 4pm EST, and 8pm EST. I missed the first two crops today, but managed to get to the rest, and was able to finish 5 pages today that I'll photograph tomorrow. I can share these now though. This first one I finished last night for sleepingbooty's Happy Days, Bright and White, and Stamp Challenges, and the second is for today's Me Challenge and Out of Season Challenge, but I used old paper so I couldn't meet the third challenge. I used my new Cocoa Vanilla on Friday's though, so I feel good about that anyway.   And my Saturday AMA, even though it's already Sunday here: 1. Play DESIGNER FOR A DAY: I don't know what the A sides would look like, but the B sides would be black and white. Is Felicity Jane the company who does that? Genius. 2. What are you most looking forward to documenting (or making cards for) in the COMING YEAR? Beach layouts. They're noticeably absent from this past year's book 3. Give your fellow croppers a RECOMMENDATION from your current faves: I'm really into Brach's jelly beans at the moment. |

I'm not sure if I'll do anything else tonight but I've enjoyed following along and admiring all the gorgeous pages and cards everyone has been sharing.
I finished two PL spreads today, and have sorted and organised all the remaining photos from my 2019 vacation. I had two blank page spots once everything was laid out in the album so I've found some photos to fill those gaps and added all the ephemera from the trip into the correct page protectors.

Project love page 8: Neisey What a pretty page to inaugurate your bucket list travel! I love that you found the perfect map pattern paper and personalised it with your flight itinerary. You've done amazing with the journaling strips and photo strip to create a sense of direction and focus to the destination by displaying them horizontally. The embellishment cluster moving vertically brings just enough of contrast to tie the page together and surprise the travelling eye! It was a great choice to choose softer tones for your LO so the contrasting elements in your photos could pop and keep the overall focus. Beautiful! 🤩 "Welcome to Melbin?" What a clean and balanced page, Neisey! I love that you counteracted the rectangular photo disposition with two larger clusters on the other side of the LO as it really helps frame that beautiful, large title! Makes it feel like you're drawing attention to your destination, road sign style. Very clever! 😉 Great job playing off your digital bus ticket's red strip for the colour selection: it pops with the lush green nature in the background and works so well with the more muted kraft shade. Linda "Test drive Mustang" Colour extraction for maximum effect, oh yeah! Love the bright green and stark black to pay tribute to the Mustange in the photos. While it's a bold choice that nobody would dare to make, I think the result is really neat and very superhero-y. You did great filling up the empty space by the horizontal photo on the bottom with the year. Simple tricks for maximum effect! 👌 "Live Oak" Playing off the historical brick in the photos with that brick paper worked out beautifully. This is such a pleasant double-pager. I love that the paper choices gave just enough contrast with the matting but softened the brick red down to a more overall dreamy diluted, pink-ish red hue that's so soothing to the eye. 😊 Your choice to use a vertical disposition for the horizontal street murals injects energy and creates a bit of a twist in the eyes' travel route. Well done. "Cleveland pear tree" Ok, but first, that cute fabric (?) gardening apron embellishment with the tools in the belt! Gah, this is dollhouse levels of cute. 💖 Beautiful colour extraction for the paper selection. I really love the subtle nod to the young tree with the striped paper that acts like a geometric display of thin branches. Playing it off with the polka dot pattern is just the amount of elusive contrast that makes this LO interesting without being overwhelming. Great job (and to your daughter for planting that tree)! I hope you'll have some beautiful pears in a few years... 🍐 justjac "Lawn Fawn cards" Oh my, how adorable are these? Stinking cute level adorable. 😍 I absolutely love the torn paper in lieu of the regular stitched die use for relief in the grass landscape, genius! Beautiful colouring job and lovely colour selection, too (purple for the rollercoaster instead of traditional grey was really smart: the blue component of the shade allows it to not clash too hard with the sky but still bring a pop of contrast). I adore the attention to detail in these and the shading of the cheeks. Just gorgeous! msliz "Bleach" Wow, you took those daily challenges and ran with them! Absolutely love the creative flow between the hair colouring and the watercolour-y page elements here. It's so fun, whimsical and complementary! Those warm pink and yellow hues pop beautifully against the black and white pattern paper. The reversed colour play with the orientation of the matting paper for the two main photos on the left vs the hair (roots to ends) is such a clever trick. My eyes keep travelling around this page and never quite settling. It's a hoot! 😃 "Goodbye Denty" Aww, I think it's adorable (and touching) that you made a goodbye LO for your trusty road companion over all these years. 💛 Very neat of you to feature all of Denty's sides in those photos, including the inside with yourself! I love your paper selection and use here: bringing that navy blue to the surface to ground your photos gives it a solemn look whereas the pretty pattern paper with the leafy elements adds a touch of whimsy and perhaps a reminder of all the road trips together. Just beautiful! |

Let's commemorate the occasion by looking at it through the lens of RESILIENCE. Scrapbook about adversity, making it through difficult times, a season of healing, the actual pandemic (it doesn't need to be a full-on sad event, no worries). Make a sympathy or get-well-soon card. It's worth celebrating getting through the less good times, too. 2. Colours | After the adversity theme, we're looking up and ahead. Let the SKY guide you for your project today. Think about the colours of sunsets, stormy nights, clear blue horizons, belated St Paddy's rainbows, cottony clouds, golden sunshine, etc. 3. Products & technique | Use your actual SCRAPS today. I have some big rubber hearts I got from the Studio Calico Storyboard kit a few years ago. They are the only thing I am really hoarding at the moment. I'm partly hoarding them because I'm waiting for the right moment to use them, but also because when I have tried to use them, they haven't fit with the page. I do really love them though. I enjoy having a steady supply of ephemera, rubber or cork pieces and chipboard that I can choose from as these elements really make a page for me. 2. Less is more. I spent 2015 being really inspired by Inkie Quill when I was working on 12x12 pocket pages. In 2016, I decided to transition from 12x12 to 6x8 and it was whilst I was learning to work with a smaller size that my preferred aesthetic is much more minimal. I prefer to 'stop' about three steps ahead of her. Making the decision to ditch using my own handwriting in 2016 was the best decision I ever made too. My handwriting has definitely improved over the last 6 years but I definitely do not want to see it in my albums. 3. Share your FAVOURITE MOMENT OR LESSON from this weekend with us. Slow down. Think things through before you fire into action. I've broken a few things over the last few weeks or I'm constantly bumping into things and bruising myself because I am just running around at a million miles an hour. I'm not careless but I definitely rush around and haven't been giving myself chance to take it slow. Breathe, peaches! |

Well, good morning everyone! This is what I did yesterday for the #3 Supply/Product prompt. I didn't get it posted but here it is. These are swatches of my supplies and how they react to water. I started it years ago but finally finished (for now). The paper I used (in order left to right, top to bottom) Neenah cardstock, Strathmore marker paper, Kabnet wax deli paper, Strathmore watercolor (cold press), Tru-ray construction paper, Tru-ray construction paper with gesso, Strathmore sketch, Strathmore sketch with gesso, and the journal paper itself which actually was my favorite paper! I have a few more to add (like my Panpastels) but this was good for now. I was tired by the time I finished this. LOL! Favorite Supplies and would purchase again: Stabilo Woody, Prismacolor nuPastels, Neocolor Crayons, Derwent Inktense pencils, Prima Oil Pastels.  |

Good morning Booty. 👋 The sun is shining here in my part of the UK and the sky is looking blue. There really is nothing like sunshine streaming in with some fresh air coming in through an open window to put a spring in your step. What did you have for breakfast this morning? Oh how I would love to be sitting out on the patio with a fresh, warm croissant from the bakery. Bonjour gorgeous, We went savoury for breakfast today. Eggs benedict on an English muffin (of course!) with roasted asparagus. And freshly squeezed orange + grapefruit juice with cava. GLOOOOOH-REEEE-YUS! *chef's kiss* My SO has taken his cooking duties seriously this weekend. 😁 Can't wait for the temperatures to warm up (why is it still so cold?) so we can grab croissants and pains au chocolat to eat on a park bench. Spring is my jam! What was on the menu at casa Peach? Are you taking Buddy on a big Sunday walk? (give him scritches behind the ears and a kiss on the nose from me, please) |

Good morning Booty. 👋 The sun is shining here in my part of the UK and the sky is looking blue. There really is nothing like sunshine streaming in with some fresh air coming in through an open window to put a spring in your step. What did you have for breakfast this morning? Oh how I would love to be sitting out on the patio with a fresh, warm croissant from the bakery. Bonjour gorgeous, We went savoury for breakfast today. Eggs benedict on an English muffin (of course!) with roasted asparagus. And freshly squeezed orange + grapefruit juice with cava. GLOOOOOH-REEEE-YUS! *chef's kiss* My SO has taken his cooking duties seriously this weekend. 😁 Can't wait for the temperatures to warm up (why is it still so cold?) so we can grab croissants and pains au chocolat to eat on a park bench. Spring is my jam! What was on the menu at casa Peach? Are you taking Buddy on a big Sunday walk? (give him scritches behind the ears and a kiss on the nose from me, please) I was over here expecting you to be having a casual but delicious breakfast and you guys are levelling up over there with fizz. Yasss hun. That sounds glorious and our berries, granola, yogurt and honey is weak in comparison. It's the same here - it's a beautiful day but still chilly. Cannot wait for warmer days and trips to the coast. We would usually go on a long Sunday walk however my husband has sustained a knee injury last week so we're still taking it easy and not doing anything too strenuous. Buddy goes out morning and evening for an hour so still getting plenty of exercise. I will be taking him out this afternoon to the park to play ball. I will absolutely give him a kiss on the nose from you! He's got his head in a toy stuffed with peanut butter and biscuits at the moment to keep him quiet. What is your plan for the day - still going on the memory planner? I am going to get myself a fresh cup of tea and have a play with the dog digital stamps I purchased from EE. I'm going to try printing and cutting with my Cricut to make some ephemera pieces! 😍 I am determined not to have this 'not shipping to the UK' malarkey hold me back from playing with the same pretties as everyone else. 😜 |

Sunday AMA: 1. Reveal the SECRET GEM in your hoard, something you've not used out of fear of no longer having it or not being able to live up to its beauty. Your hoard trophy, if you will... Tell us why you think you've not used it so far and what could finally prompt you to get it out of the hoard and onto a project! Don't hate me when I say nothing.
In the past it may have been enamel dots or maybe a special patterned paper sheet, because I was afraid of not being able to find the perfect ones again. But, there will always be something that will work.
This past month I used my very last sheet of Basic Grey on a layout about an orchid. And I did have that moment when I asked myself, "Is this photo BG worthy?" But yeah, yeah it is.
In fact, it's been so long since I did a good scrap shop, that I feel like I don't have any treasures left, and just basics.
2. What ADVICE would you give your former scrapbooking/crafty self? As years go by, experience trickles in, we often end up seeing things from a different perspective through growth and trial. Is there anything in particular you feel you need to remind yourself (and your fellow crafters) of? BUY MORE!!
Buy the pretties. Buy what strikes your fancy even though it is overpriced. Everything is overpriced.
I would have warned myself that the LSS would no longer be available. That AC would take over so much and just make it all similar. That the days of picking and choosing in person were coming to an end.
And I would have bought like crazy.
It used to feel like work to hold myself back from overbuying. Now it feels like work to find something I like well enough to buy online, accounting for the shipping I have to pay.

I have loved the anticipation of coming back to this thread again & again, putting in my two cents, and reading all about what my fellow crafters are doing.
I love having someone to tell about the layouts I make.
A place where I feel pride in my hobby.
I love seeing what y'all are making, and what is scrapworthy to you all too.
And I feel a little sad, too, that it is already Sunday, and the last day.
